2026 Philadelphia Eagles

Doesn’t sound like there will be many running lanes. Hoping Shipley gets going as a receiver out of the backfield early. Doesn’t look good for a once great OL room!
I think it also goes to show Saquan Barkley’s historical season a few years back was the benefit of an absolutely dominate mostly white line. Not saying he is not a good running back (he certainly is) but so much of a running back’s success is due to the unsung men up front. Ditto for QBs.

You could argue that line is historical great similar to the Great Wall of Dallas line of the early to mid 90's without the behavioral issues.

it’s long been my position that the o-line is easily the most important part of a football team. literally EVERY other position group benefits from a dominant o-line, including those on the defensive side of the ball.

a true “evaluator” of “talent” would realize this and game the system in order to load up with elite players at the top of the draft (and in free agency) then fill in with “overlooked” White athletes at the verboten positions.

it would not only put a quality product on the field, it would also work with the financial side of the biz.

all it would take is honest, color-blind evaluations, which is why it’ll probably never happen.
