@Leonardfan Nice write up! Of the OL, I was impressed with Radunz and Newman from the highlights I saw. Brendan Jaimes is also an under-the-radar guy who I'm glad is getting more attention. Wish Cole Van Lanen was invited, I think he'll be a steal for whoever he falls to in Day 3. Reminds me of Ricky Wagner, not 100% ready, but true upside and likely a good starter in a year or 2.

WR Dax Milne and S Brady Breeze invited to the NFL combine. The NFL combine will be all virtual this year but at least the NFL teams will have direct contact with these guys. Every team will see their pro day numbers. These invites are very important for our guys, especially in a year where the draft is likely going to be pretty bad.

I am keeping my eye out on the full combine invite list. It will be interesting to follow this year - will the pro day workouts = the combine workouts? Or will they be two separate events. I think the number of white players drafted this year will be more in line with what we have come to expect rather than an all out 2015 disaster again. Once the combine list is out I will get that list and compare to the Senior Bowl and Shrine game rosters to make my comprehensive prospect list.

Thanks for keeping me up to date! I was not sure on the status of either Gaither or Blankenship. I'll add Gaither to the list. I did my best to get him recognized by the Senior Bowl during the season to no avail. I do not think he was invited to any of the post season all star games or combine either. A great illustration of the caste system at work.

All the experts have determined their Big 5 board for QBs. Mysteriously missing is Kyle Trask. Trey Lance is back and has earned that spot with his upside.

Lance is still being talked about as a top 8 pick. I really cannot see how or why - 1 year fcs starter on a stacked team. At least Mac Jones is finally getting some recognition and “experts” are looking at his numbers compared to Tagiolova. Jones is getting downgraded because he lacks “athleticism”. Trask to me plays QB like Philip Rivers. It’s too bad he could not participate in the Senior Bowl. I would take either of these polished passing qbs over Lance easily. At least Fields improved as a passing QB. It would be great if the hype around Lance is more media creation than how the league feels about him.

As for the whole “outlier” concept - it plays in totally with the “Great White Hope” myth which is just another way to denigrate white athletes and push the false premise that whites aren’t elite level athletes.

Pretty much saying the only reason he has achieved success is because he has genetics that no other white kid could ever get. It WAS because of his Father. But not for the genetic reasons. His father had NFL connections and that's why we are able to have CM in the NFL. Obviously CM has the genetics, but there's been bigger, faster and stronger white RB's, that were not allowed to play RB in the NFL. If Christian's last name were Nall, Martinek, Smith, Jones, etc. most likely we would've been talking about him as we do Sam McGuffie, Ryan Nall, Brian Leonard, Joe Martinek, etc. I knows there's many more.
I will say to Christian's credit, he did make the most of the opportunity he was given. Leading the country in all purpose yards in college helped and of course because he was given a chance he has performed well in the NFL.

I would also say because he absolutely dominated college football. While there have been other very talented white backs recently (closest to McCaffrey I can think of is Brandon Wegher) they haven’t gotten the opportunity in the pros. Nall reminds me most of Hillis - big and strong, good speed and excellent agility and great hands.

Wegher could have been a star. 5’10”, 215 lbs, 4.4 speed like Christian- but he never got a fair shake because he didn’t dominate college ball as he had a lot of personal issues. Of course, he didn’t have a former All-Pro dad behind him too.

CBS Sports has Drew Seers, LB, Lindenwood University as the #14 LB and #150 overall. Haven't heard much about him but he had 175 tackles in 2019(!!!), including 17 for loss. Division 2 guy, but extremely productive. Very smart, sound player with a knack for making plays. Definitely needs to get a chance. Haven't heard if he's declared or using the extra year of eligibility. They next play in late March, 4 weeks away.

In general, white men should stay in college as long as possible, if they're getting a scholarship. They should use the time to take STEM or business courses or something useful. They can't rely on getting a fair shot in the NFL.
