Wow! A lot of snubs. I know it's just a formality this time around but still. Brady White seems like a QB who would've gotten an invite. Of other positions, Mason Stokke as a Wisconsin FB seems like he'd have gotten an invite, ditto for Miller Forristall as an Alabama starter. Also thought Blake Proehl, Nick Niemann, and David Curry would have been invited because of their family ties, though hopefully it helps them get a chance on a team. Blake Gallagher was a beat at Northwestern, and Riley Cole turned heads at the Senior Bowl.

For the defensive line, what can I say? Pathetic. In hindsight I think 2019 will be remembered on this site as one of the fairest DL classes in recent memory for a long time. That said, Jarrod Hewitt looks like he'll be a steal for whoever snags him. Looked at his (and a few other VT defenders') tape and he was great this past year. Hubert is pretty good as well, and the others listed are also good potential developmental players (if they are given the chance, of course).

Anyway, thanks for the write up @Leonardfan ! Great job as always.

Blankenship and Turner both returning for another year of college. Not sure if I'm a fan of those moves or not!

Good stuff Leonardfan!

Me too Bucky....Mixed opinions on DB Reed Blankenship(Middle Tenn) playing another year of College Football.(same for Nolan Turner) How much will it help his Draft stock? Injury always a risk. Thought he was ready for the NFL ..Seeing Mock List Blankenship going(4th Round?) #143 - #150 & Brady Breeze @ #183 according to one publication. Eric Weddle retired...Harrison Smith & DAn Sorenson cant play forever.

Thought D-End Aiden Hutchinson(Michigan) might opt for the NFL early ; hopefully will improve his Draft stock/

Nate Landman(Colorado) was destined to be a solid NFL Starting LBer....is returning to College bec of a season ending knee injury.

Sleeper QB Dustin Crum(Kent)... also coming back

Ultra critical hit piece on BYU QB Zach Wilson. Former NFL "scout" thinks he's no better than a 3rd Rd pick.

I'd like to see his breakdown's of Lance and Fields! Probably write fluff pieces on them.

https://www.nfldraftdiamonds.com/2021/03/zach-wilson-4/

I read his report. In it he, for whatever bizarre reason, says that Wilson is not as good in college as "RGIII." Why that particular comparison?

He also says Wilson would not be on his board. Really? You wouldn't even take him in the 7th round?

Ha yea that is a joke. Inferior competition? BYU cobbled together a schedule at the last minute to get a full season in. Anytime I saw Wilson I came away mostly impressed. I too can't wait to see how this scout grades Trey Lance (or Fields with his 6 game schedule for that matter).

FYI this scout Daniel Kelly also thinks Trevor Lawrence will be a bust:

Here is a funny article about this ex-NFL scout from last year regarding Fatt Matt and the Lions.

https://lionswire.usatoday.com/2020...uldnt-be-too-down-on-the-lions-if-i-were-you/

And from reading this story about his career path he may have been an NFL scout for a small time but I'd say I am just as qualified as him:

Lol they worship RG knee. No idea why he felt the need to throw that in there.. unless of course to discredit Wilson as not being the same Afflete as RG Knee.

Dan Kelly comes off as an ass. DraftDiamonds was just promoting his book the other day, initially I thought it sounded interesting. After reading his scouting reports, easy pass on that.

DraftDiamonds hating on the White QBs? What gives?!

They are just catching up to the rest of the draft sites and sports media. Another hack site started up by a self-anointed "expert".

I did check out the Lawrence video and he does have a wind-up that is concerning.

QB is so damn hard to predict for success in the pros.

I think any criticism of Lawrence is pretty much nitpicking. Remember when Phil Simms was criticizing Luck's arm strength? That was a joke. Lawrence is honestly the "once a decade" type QB prospect if you ask me. For me the most worrisome aspect about his career is that he is ending up in Jacksonville - Meyer needs to adjust to the pro game and tailor his offense to ensure it works, he also needs to not run a joke of a team in terms of the types of players that surround Lawrence - he left both Florida and Ohio St under the excuse of "health conditions" when it was really scandal that wanted him to get a clean break.

Garrett Wallow (TCU) was a hard hitting Safety coming out HS ( New Orleans LA). The hybrid LB has gained roughly 25lbs since then. Had hoped he would go to his state school LSU; But it worked out well for him. Led Big 12 in tackles two seasons ago.

Saw this article on the side of the Rex Burkhead post ; compliments of Bucky.
I could see Wallow with the NE Patriots..... By year 2 & 3 expect to see him as a solid starter much like Nate Gerry (before the injury)

2021 Patriots draft profile: TCU linebacker Garret Wallow has sky-high potential but needs time to develop

Excellent! Let's hope Wallow gets better treatment than his athletic former teammate Ty Summers..

The NFL is such a huge market but just like every year it is already impossible to find pro day results. RB Harry Trotter hasn’t recovered from a knee injury and he only perform the broad jump (9’5”) and bench press (22 reps). Supposedly the Colts and Patriots showed interest, I personally don’t really see him as an NFL RB but it is good to see that teams are at least talking to him. EDGE Wyatt Hubert ran a nice 7.00 in the 3 cone, I think his stock is trending upwards and I could see him being picked in the 2nd round. Northwestern LB Paddy Fisher measured in at 6’3 3/8 and 240lbs and is being viewed as a Mike LB. The NFL needs more tall MLB’s like Fisher.

These are the only results I could find at the moment, hopefully they start to trickle out. I’d like to see how Lees, Bergin, Gallagher, and Fisher tested.

*fun fact*
Fisher, Gallagher, and Bergin combined for 960 career tackles at Northwestern. Talk about tackling machines!!

Agreed it's crazy we can't get any damn measurables these days! Wtf! Everything I can see is just talking up Slater and The CB.

Perhaps Trotter can transition to Safety?

Another case of #blackprivilege. I find it bizarre this guy is getting talked up, he never stood out when I watched the Wildcats.

Northwestern OT Rashawn Slater said NFL teams are not worried about his arm length.
Measurements and athletic testing are usually used to set floors for what is acceptable at a given position. For offensive tackles like Slater, short arms are generally an undesirable trait, since all these opposing defensive ends tend to have good reach themselves. In the event a decent tackle has short arms, they can be moved to guard, where length matters less since it's more of a phonebooth anyway. According to Slater, though, the NFL teams he has spoken to are not worried about him having somewhat short arms. It seems NFL teams are letting the film speak louder than the measurements here, which is usually how teams should handle this sort of dilemma anyway.

Maryland's pro day is tomorrow. Please post RB Jake Funks results if you can find them. I'll be on the look out for them as well.
Thanks.
Wisconsin's are tomorrow as well.

Paddy Fisher ran a 4.92, that certainly will not help him but I think his tape, production, and leadership speaks for itself.
