Hard to say - I would agree with rockybleier about Isabella, Bosa, Zach Allen. Sills should be a 2nd/3rd rounder but will get dinged because he is white. Laird, Oulette and McPherson have received no invite to one of the all star games as of yet. It's hard to project where I think they deserve to go compared with where they will go due to the discrimination against them since they are white.

This class has some good defensive players - a few guys that should be selected in rounds 2/3 are:

To follow up on Rocky and Leofan's comments regarding Backrow's question I concur that the two RBs with the best chance of getting drafted are AJ Ouellette and Patrick Laird.

Both in my mind are better prospects than Ryan Nall who went undrafted last year. I have them graded as 6th or 7th round picks but like Rocky suggests I wouldn't take that to the bank. I am not the one doing the picking.

I would draft Laird based on his character alone which sounds shallow. Truth is he has enough talent to back up and also be a situational back because of his ability to catch and run. Also could pitch in on special teams. But even beyond that is character. The outright leader of one of the better Cal teams in memory Laird checks all of the good citizen boxes. Just the type of player the NFL needs right now when you consider the number of delinquents that have littered the league for ages now. If I was a GM I want stand up men on my team as opposed to following the" black olympic underwear plan" that so many teams abide by with mixed results.

You put a bunch of Patrick Laird type players on a team and you will be looking at a winning team.

Predicting the WR situation as this point is risky. But the flow seems to be going with Andy Isabella ( my top rated WR), David Sills and Hunter Renfrow.

After those three things get tricky. Whether Trent Irwin or Cody Thompson get traction is a big question mark. Irwin adds the benefit of being a punt returner. I think Irwin has more polish at this point but both grade out as 5th to 6th round picks in my mind.

Other WRs to consider that I think are worthy of late round picks are Chris Finke and Scott Miller. Both can return kicks too. They have been ignored but I think that is a tragedy. Again the NFL veers away from smaller white speedsters but welcomes smaller black players in droves. It is one of the most annoying double standards I see in the NFL.

Other names to consider are Jesper Horsted and Flynn Nagel. Both are long shots at this juncture although Horsted might be looked at as a TE. Nagel's late season injury curbed the great run he was on which likely turned off those scouts easily persuaded. The old amplify the tiniest flaws of a white athlete and minimize the obvious flaws of a black athlete.

Sleeper pick is Tony Ellison out of Arizona that Red Raider recently praised.

Another key thing to watch is the NFL combine invites. An invite is very reassuring.

As of the last ranking from Draftscout which must have inside information on draft boards, Patrick Laird is on the fringes of being drafted. Also Winston Dimel is the highest rated fullback and usually that is the only fullback that is a lock to be drafted.

Nice interview with an under the radar DII prospect. This guy has a cool story, he didn’t make varsity his junior year and only recorded 10 catches his senior now. Fast forward 4 years and he’s his schools all time leader in receptions, yards, and TD’s with career totals of 256-4401-40 and he’s preparing for the NFL. Not to mention he won team MVP 3 years in a row. He also has fantastic size at 6’3” 220lbs, could be a guy to watch for as a free agent.

I’m my opinion more white athletes should take this route instead of walking on at big time schools and never seeing the field and just being a practice dummy. Go make a name for yourself and get noticed!!

In high school he played MLB until his senior year when the coaches moved him to defensive end and tight end. He even used to be a runningback, the transition should be a little more smooth than guys who’ve never played linebacker before.

Hopefully Crosby has a 3rd/4th round grade which made him declare early. Have to wonder if Sutton Smith is going to declare as well - if Hasann Reddick can be a 1st round pick I do not see why Sutton Smith cannot be.

Has anyone noticed the trend of really good D-Ends at Michigan schools? Crosby, Willekes, Winovich, Joe Ostman. All produced big numbers in recent years

I’m also interested to see what Crosby weighs in at, throughout his career he’s been listed as low as 220 when he was a freshman and as high as 270 one year. He’s listed at 247 now and has looked kinda skinny, I think his ideal weight should be 255-260.

Yes DE Sutton Smith declared for the draft. Great move and Leo Fan makes a good point if an undersized edge black athlete can be picked early why not Smith?

I have Smith graded as a second round pick. I think he is a great pick. Probably not an every down player although he is so clever and versatile I wouldn't rule it out. A true disruptor who relies on guile, toughness and speed. Even if things don't entirely pan out he could be a terrific special teams player. Despite his size he is one of those no brainer picks.

And Red mentions the influx of dynamite white edge players in this year's draft. Also put it in the books. DE Nick Bosa will be the first pick in the draft.

I suspect Smith's draft range will be 2-5th round.

Oregon QB Justin Herbert returning to school. As long as he improves next year and remains healthy he should still be a first round pick. Of course the "experts" are labeling this a week QB class. I'd contend this QB class has players just as good as the 2015 or 2017 draft classes where we saw non-white QBs drafted. Grier and Lock should easily be 1st rounders. Stidham could be a wild card depending on his workouts/senior bowl as a late 1st rounder to a 3rd rounder. It's a false narrative being pushed.

Oregon QB Justin Herbert will return to school for his senior season in 2019.

20-year-old Herbert was in the discussion as the top quarterback in this year's class if he were to come out and head to the NFL. Instead, he'll go back to school where his brother is coming to the Ducks' program as a freshman. Overall, it's probably a good decision by Herbert, who needs some more work. The 2019 quarterback class is projected to be extremely weak, which obviously isn't good news for teams like the Giants, Jaguars, Bucs, and even Raiders.

He is supposedly getting talk as a 1st rounder - he is probably 5’9 at most. The attack on the qb position is relentless as the nfl continues to manipulate the rules to make it easier to play the position.

Yes the drama around the height measurement of Johnny Football and Baker Mayfield was comical. They both look like basketball players compared to this munchkin.

I'm not sure Murray can even stand the rigors of the NFL as he is very small boned and skinny(probably due to his East Asian heritage). He is listed at 195 pounds but I will believe it when I see the weigh in at the combines(if he shows up).

Duke QB Daniel Jones declares - fits the Wentz/Allen mold of QB - arm strength isn't as good but he is a big, athletic QB. Hope to see him drafted in the 1st round.

This is disgusting and it doesn't suprise me. Just like with Tebow and most white mobile quarterbacks the league does not want them. Just like with too many white rbs or recievers, mobile white qbs disprove the myth of african physical dominance which is artificial. The stereotypes/old wifes tails are built on lies! Nick Fitzgerald is another Josh Allen with his legs and that scares them. The NFL stands for one thing and I don't even have to say it.
