I’ve not followed college football for a few seasons now so I ask out of ignorance. How does Fitzgerald compare to Dak Prescott? They both are mobile QBs who I assume played in a similar system at the same school against similar competition? Thanks. As far as I can tell Nick Fitzgerald has yet to receive an invite to the Senior Bowl or Shrine Game. It looks like they are just trying to write him off and not give him a shot. Fitzgerald has his limitations as a passer but so does Lamar Jackson who is being celebrated as a "game changer". If more teams are deciding to once again take it back to 2012 and run that same offense then Fitzgerald should be considered a draft worthy pick. For as productive as he was in the supposed best conference against the supposed best athletes he should for sure be getting shown more respect during the all star bowl game process/combine.
Is it really necessary to refer to him this way? Seems like a genuine down-to-earth nice guy.I agree with what's being said about Nick Fitzgerald. He needs a shot. How that chimp Lamar Jackson got drafted in the first round is beyond me. I hope that ****** loses in the first round.

I've never liked the idea bringing in a player in certain situations as the Saints do with Taysom Hill. It never seems to work long term. Everyone in the place knows when Hill comes in, the play will be centered around him. It should be easy to defend. Taysom Hill is good enough to be a full time RB in the NFL. If the Saints can't use him for that, trade him and let some team who has overrated RB's under performing and make him a 1-2 RB option!
I know, I know.... that will never happen.
BTW, that's ONE of the reasons McCaffrey didn't flourish last year. He was coming into obvious situations where everyone in the stadium knew he would be involved in the play. This year, being made the number 1 RB, he showed what he could do!
Junior Clemson S Tanner Muse will be in the spotlight Monday night. A starting white DB in the championship game. I have to think which was the last college champ to feature a white DB. In fact which was the last Super Bowl winner to feature one? Have to think about that.
Reading the tea leaves Tanner seems to be leaning on declaring for the draft. The problem? His draft report grade wasn't what he had hoped which means he could miss being drafted. From what I can gather they listed him from 6th round to UDFA.
In my mind another year in college will help solidify his standing. It is riskier for him to jump at this point.
Either way wouldn't it be great if he really shined Monday night. And S Nolan Turner will be in the spotlight too but he is just a sophomore.
Appreciate the breakdown LF! Actually looking forward to these All Star Games this year. QB position looking promising.
That upside laden Buffalo qb declared. Must realize he will be exposed since his one WR is off to the pros.
Next Logan Thomas!
I'm keeping my eye on Easton Stick. Wouldn't mind Green Bay selecting him mid rounds.
I am curious to see how Easton Stick does as well. He is a great athlete. Have to imagine a non-white dual threat qb from a dominant FCS program would be getting a lot more attention than Stick is currently.
Duke QB Daniel Jones invited to the Senior Bowl. There are now 8 QBs participating in the Senior Bowl. Jones is getting whispers of a Wentz like buzz. Wentz crushed the Senior Bowl which led him to be a big time draft riser. We can only hope Jones enjoys a similar trajectory. He does cross off alot of the check marks Wentz did as well - Tall, athletic, mobile however Jones does not have the arm Wentz does. Wentz probably has a top 5 arm in the NFL - Jones has good arm strength but it is not eye popping. Jones does have the benefit of being coach by David Cutcliffe (he has coached both Peyton and Eli Manning) so that should help with questions about his pedigree and knowledge of the game. With the OSU black quarterback Haskins probably declaring it looks like he along with Jones will be the two highest rated QBs.
The 8 QBs with Senior Bowl invites are Drew Lock, Clayton Thorson, Trace McSorely, Will Grier, Daniel Jones, Gardner Minshew, Jarret Stidham, Ryan Finley. Not a bad group - I doubt McSorley is drafted (and if he is not as a QB), Thorson is a late round guy at this point and Finley who I liked coming into the season kind took a downward trajectory and my guess is his stock has done the same - he needs to answer questions about arm strength. Minshew is a wildcard at this point - could be a later round guy or be a riser - he was damn fun to watch this year playing at Washington St.
The big 4 are Drew Lock, Daniel Jones, Will Grier and Jarrett Stidham. Prior to the college season Lock, Grier and Stidham all were getting first round projections. Stidham did have somewhat of a down year but I feel that was due more to the Auburn offense then his ability - he played very well as a freshman at Baylor and last year at Auburn. He has a good arm, mobility and size. Grier improved in every category and is suddenly facing questions about his size and arm strength (mind you the media is hyping up a 5'8 quarterback from Oklahoma with less arm strength than Grier as a 1st rounder). Lock is pretty much Jay Cutler 2.0 to me in terms of physical ability - they are both about the same size, same type of arm strength and good mobility. These 4 have a good shot at developing as next level starters and all should be drafted in rounds 1-3.
Iowa DE Anthony Nelson declares.
Ohio st black quarterback declares - public enemy number one for me from here until draft day.
Nelson, another Nordic Beast Iowa has stockpiled along the DL! Looking forward to him entering the league!
NYG DWFs want Haskins. I'm all for it.
