Lamar Jackson completed 31-of-59 passes for 365 yards, one touchdown, and two picks, adding 20 carries for 143 yards on the ground in Baltimore's Divisional Round loss to the Titans.
Jackson pieced together one of the all-time great regular seasons in just his second year in the league, garnering a first-team All-Pro selection and becoming the first player in league history to throw for 3,000 yards and rush for another 1,000. Jackson not only broke Michael Vick’s single-season rushing mark (1,039) for a quarterback with 1,206 yards on the ground, the 23-year-old did so in the same year he led the league with 36 touchdown passes through the air. It’s not all bad news as the Ravens, barring a drastic chain of events, will return all 11 starters on offense and both OC Greg Roman and DC Don Martindale for another shot at history. Having said that, there’s a terrific chance Jackson becomes the first NFL MVP to lose his first playoff game since Adrian Peterson did so in 2012. There will be loads of drivel shouted about Jackson’s five turnovers and 0-2 record in the postseason this spring, but none of it should discount the Ravens' football renaissance in 2019.

All else being equal, I 100% prefer a mostly Black team of players who are so-so but win thanks to a dominantt White quarterback (ie Joe Burrow), to win a title as opposed to a team of many Whites that carry a mediocre Black quarterback to win a Superbowl, because in the case of the latter the Black quarterback will get all the credit, which is fair because he's the leader, but White QBs don't get this same benefit of the doubt. A White game manager will be mocked as such, whereas a Black game manager will be lauded to no end.

The Niners/Vikings game was something of a dud. For me anyway.

Cousins is a puzzle. Just when you think he's going to break through to the upper level he regresses. The Viking's O was indeed, as Shadowlight put it, constipated.

But the later game made up for it. I just happened to tune in at Jackson's failed sneak followed by Henry's big run then jump pass. Then Jackson generously gives the ball back and Tannehill ends up running it in. It was fun to watch. No trading punts till one team finally dinks and dunks to field goal range then more punts.

And Henry is fun to watch. Brings back memories of Earl Campbell and Larry Csonka. With so many timid tacklers populating defenses nowadays a punishing power runner can still be a real asset. The NFL is a copycat league. Maybe some of our big fast guys can get in on that action down the road. Ah, maybe I'm dreaming before I even go to bed.

From the little bit I saw of the SF vs Minn. game (the time it takes me to drink two beers), it was evident that all SF had to do was keep running the ball straight ahead. That was dumb move throwing that int. just before the half. The only thing SF had to do was keep the Minn. D on the field while making continuous 1st downs. Like my coach used to say to us when I was a boy, "We'll find a play that works and keep running it until they stop it, then we'll try something else." And that's what we did. I don't know why people think they have to tinker with success?

Was thoroughly impressed with the Niners. Their Pass rush is relentless and Shanahan knows how to run an offense.

Perfect game plan for The Titans. I expected it to be a close game, but the whooping they put on The Ravens was pleasant indeed.

As far as Jackson is concerned - you could see him lose his composure during the game on more than one occasion - so much for the smooth under pressure brotha the media he was being portrayed as. He did play hard the whole game and his competitiveness should be appreciated. I just thought the Titans game plan was fantastic and the cbs broadcast did a great job showing what the titans were doing. The fact the broadcast brought up Jackson’s weakness with throwing the out routes (the passes on the outside of the numbers - he cannot make those throws consistently) was fantastic and showed a major deficieny in his game.

I don't blame the loss soley on Cousins. He was under consistent pressure with less than 3 seconds to throw the entire game. After the DB mistake covering Diggs his receivers weren't getting good separation . I think Adam's injury was bothering him. The backs kept getting swallowed up on running plays making the offense one dimensional the entire game. He should have eaten the sack instead of throwing it to Sherman but the way the 49ers were playing I don't think it would have changed much. I think they would have just eaten up more clock

Compare that to Jackson, the run game was working at first, he had time to throw but just overthrew his receiver and it was picked off. 7-0. Then the next chance it was 3rd and 5 he had a receiver open on a deeper route but he dumps it to the closer receiver who comes up just short. Then they had to go for it on 4th and 1. 14 to 0. He still could have came back but his outside receivers were exposed, one big drop, but I'm not sure he should have threw it there in between 3 defenders. Then on the fumble he had a little over 3 seconds which is typical NFL time, the pocket collapsed and he didn't protect the football.

I think the Titans will fare better than the Vikings if they have to face the 49ers. The 49ers won't be as well rested if they make it to the Superbowl and Henry should be able to grind out tough yards even if the blocking isn't consistent. It should be an interesting matchup.

I’m really happy for Tannehill as well. As others have said (Don maybe?), he’s been the best surprise this year next the CMac going for a thousand-thousand. However, assuming the Chiefs win tomorrow, do we really prefer them to KC? Outside of Tannehill they are totally Caste with Humphries hurt. At least with KC we have a record setting TE (Kelse topped a thousand yards for 3 straight seasons), 2 White defenders who feature and a snow plow. ******* Man isn’t White, but I can tolerate him as he plays White and acts White (for the most part). KC losing in the Super Bowl to either SF or Green Bay is my preferred outcome.

These kind of questions are important to bring up. Most know here I am not from the school of having a white QB trumps most everything else. I take you back to when Carolina was a contender and CM was just getting his feet wet. You had a team with trailblazer CM, an awesome TE in Olsen and the incomparable LB Luke Kuechly. These guys aren't just complimentary white players. They represent the cream of the crop so I was surprised to find out some or many here at CF were rooting against them to win because of QB Cam. So you go out to a pub with Luke and CM and explain to them you hope they play well but you aren't pulling for them to win? That sounds too much like a black thing to me. Like Carmelo Anthony who sulks if his team wins if he doesn't put up big stats but is happy when he has a big game even if his team loses.

I like stats as well as the next guy and stuff like double digit sacks and 1,000 yards for a WR or in CM's case going over 1,000 yards rushing is something I cheer. But I would take a slight slippage in CM stats if the trade off meant winning the Super Bowl. That is the point of sports. Winning. And there is no greater platform to shove one up the caste ass system when white caste busting stars win the whole thing! I was never a Giants fan ( except for when Sehorn showed up) but when they played in the Super Bowl against Baltimore I was rooting for them because of CB Jason Sehorn. It was like "look at that" they could win the whole thing with a star white CB!

That said it is a mine field out there and I think we all agree with that. While if Titans WR Adam Humphries returns and is utilized it helps sweeten the pot for this team that has zero white defenders. Tannehill, ( think Alex Smith) is an athletic white QB and the media has frowned on them for a while now leaving the distinct impression they think the "athletic running QB" should be primarily a black thing.

When the Cowboys had WR Cole Beasley and the criminally underrated S Jeff Heath was finally getting to play to go along with super sensation LB Vander Esch along with Sean Lee ( who by the way played like an all pro when he filled in during the latter part of the season) I was rooting for them. It seemed many here didn't because of QB Prescott.

But the Chiefs aren't as easy for me to go full hog with. They remind me of the Saints where they half ass it with their white players. Taysom Hill anyone? But like the Saints they never seem to fully commit themselves to white players in general. While it is great S Daniel Sorensen will likely get a lot of snaps today and has been their best playoff defender for the past several years it is like pulling teeth for this team to commit to him as a full time starter. At least the Cowboys gave Heath a starting job. Niemann is a dandy LB out of Iowa but he is being used as a back up. And TE Travis Kelce is one of my favorite players in all of football. But beyond the obvious media hype surrounding QB Mahomes what really gets under my skin is the addition of yet another speedy black WR in their rookie from Georgia Mecole Hardman to go along with my least favorite player in the ultra annoying WR Tyreek Hill. I can't stand him. So unlike the Carolina team I mentioned the Chiefs fall short for me when it comes to a wholesale endorsement despite the few glimmers of hope.

The Packers have a white presence but there are a lot of frustrating issues (see Kyler Fackrell) there as well. Most of their skill offensive white players are sadly used as secondary figures at best ( Jordy is a distant memory now) and while I am a big Aaron Rodgers fan his mainly black receiving core are pretty annoying.

At the end of the day there are no slam dunks here. It is a mine field but if pressed at least for now I am leaning towards the 49ers because they have two premier caste busting players in TE George "the animal" Kittle and DE Nick Bosa who yesterday looked like the best football player in the entire NFL.

Ravens/Titans was one of the most enjoyable blowouts in years. I think it was the most surprising result in a football game since the Giants/Packers divisional game in 2011.

The Titans have an interesting draw. Their D-Coordinator Dean Pees' was also a longtime D-Coordinator for the Patriots and Ravens. He had extensive knowledge of his former teams and did a great job. The Titans won't have that edge against the Chiefs, but they do have a strong history against Andy Reid.

I was impressed with the Jewish play by play announcer Ian Eagle. He didn't act like a 13 year old girl after Lamar Jackson's impressive runs and even referred to Hayden Hurst as "speedy."

Lamar Jackson's slow start to his playoff career is going to get a lot less scrutiny than Peyton Manning or Matt Ryan.

I'll agree with Shadow on the QB or not to QB, besides the "mainstream" media is a joke and I could care less who they laud. The Packers losing in 2011 did not surprise me and I'm a lifelong Pack fan, if a team can rush 4 drop 7 it's struggle city for the the Pack at least with McCarthy sticking to the game plan and then looking befuddled per usual when the wheels come off. Anyway I hope they whoop the Hags even if it means going to Frisco to watch Bosa lay Rogers out, MAGA vs P-Whipped Resistance Loser.

They didn't say he had a good game, they reiterated how well he did this season because there's no way to spin yesterday's game in a positive light, so we were both right.

I think, paradoxically, Henry could be better for white RBs than CMac. Plenty of big, fast, Peyton Hillis types do not get to run with the ball and are relegated to blocking or maybe playing some TE/LB. Defenses in this day and age are soft as hell, hence why Jackson can run amok (imagine that guy being tackled by Romanowski or Justin Smith, he wouldn't want to run again).
Here's hoping big power backs are back and that some white players find the way to take advantage of it.
