Could be an interesting AFC now with Cinncy failing in the most self-loathing way and loses to their nemesis that won't die (Pitt) when they should have put some distance between them and the Bell-less Crawford's (at home to make the loss even worse).

Josh "Relapse" Gordon was average last night and is clearly out-of-sync with Brady. When TB12 needed plays, it wasn't Gordon, White, or Michel...it was his trio of white superstars (Gronk Edelman, Hogan) that won the game. I'm especially happy for Chris Hogan, whose fantastic, 4th quarter catch will hopefully ignite his otherwise-forgettable season.

After a 97-yard effort, Gronkowski is now back on pace for 1,000 yards. He was either blocking or double covered for most of the night, so his yardage total even more impressive. This was one of the only plays in which he had single coverage...

Despite how black and boring they've looked thus far, I still have high hopes for the Pats this season. I think by the end of the year, Michel will be injured and Burkhead will return from IR. One of their black OL (Mason, Brown, Cannon) will be on IR and replaced by Croston or Karras. John Simon will become a heavily-rotated defender. LB Calvin Munson (currently on the PS) could be called up to the active roster should any injuries to their godawful defense occur. Gronk will get his 1,000-yard season. It may sound highly optimistic, but it seemingly happens every year to this team.

Unlike Wilson, Mahomes prefers to stand in the pocket and does a good job of going through his reads. That's the biggest knock on black QB's is that they can't process the whole field from the pocket. Seattle likes to roll Wilson out so that he only has to read 1/2 the field. Most other blacks, Watson, Kizer, Smiff, Tynog, etc. focus in on one or two options and if they aren't there, will take off. Only throwing at that point if they see a schoolyard downfield play or a dink to a RB/receiver who is within 10 yards.

Being subjected to the Chiefs every week, since I live in the KC area, Mahomes looks to be a potentially good QB. He comports himself like a white QB, interviews like a white QB, he just happens to be fantasy caramel colored with Sideshow Bob hair. The media slobbering will continue unabated, but there isn't a large pool of black/semi-black QBs out there that play like mobile white guys.

I concur with you on Mahomes. Not a fan of his, but I don't put him in the same category as Watson (who really was an AA quota...very inconsistent in college and interception-prone), et al. Mahomes' White genes is what allows him to stand in the pocket, read a defense and make (mostly) good decisions and have success. He has just enough White blood to negate the instinct to "tuck and run it" at the first sign of trouble.

Doug Williams was another pure black that was a decent QB with a vertical threat that would stand in the pocket and be able to read defenses well. I think some of it also comes down to black culture disintegrating from the early to late 80's where it became cool to be dumb and hood and when getting good grades in school became "acting White".

Most now (and for the last few decades) have trouble stringing together more than one sentence, at best, and are barely intelligible in spoken English. I guess this is considered "woke", somehow. I remember watching some interviews with black players from the early 80's and before and many of them were well-spoken and gentlemanly. That's frowned upon by them now.

I suspect that the number of black NFL QBs will rise over the next five to ten years. With QBs it is usually best to wait a good three years or so to properly evaluate. Eric Mangini has cautioned against the hype surrounding Mahomes. And we have to keep in mind the sports media loves to hype hoping to increase interest. And of course certain black players get the royal treatment. For now the queer club has put their love behind Mahomes and Barkley. With other black candidates waiting in the wings if they falter.

Remember the pre draft buzz about WR DJ Chark? What a dazzling athlete they said despite his OK but not great career at LSU. He has what a few catches so far for overrated Jacksonville. Being a productive WR takes more than a fast 40 time. But grown men continue to drool when black athletes run fast 40 times.

Now if black QBs are going to become more common my bigger concern is that the NFL becomes more balanced with more white RBs and WRs who are utilized and not ignored.

But something happened in Dallas that was interesting. The announcers were referencing a statement by Cole Beasley suggesting that they (WRs) have been open. Now we know black players like Antonio Brown act like pouting infants when they don't get their designated targets. Did Beasley go up to Prescott and tell him throw me the GD ball? And if he did good for him. It is one thing to be petulant and selfish and not serve the team. It is another to ask for the ball when you know it will help the team win.

I think as we move forward it is essential white WRs stop acting like timid backseat travelers and get in the face of black QBs telling them point blank you are not going to ignore me!

Trent Taylor (back injury) is inactive for MNF. George Kittle is active but was limited all week in practice with a knee issue. Hopefully he's in good enough shape to show a national TV audience how good he is. He was second just behind Kelce in receiving yards by a tight end going into this weekend's games, and was 20th overall in the league.

I'll also be rooting for C. J. Beathard to have a good game as he's one of those White QBs automatically dismissed with a sneer by mindless DWFs.

The most recent wave is Sewerwater, Jameez, Mariota, Deshaun, Deshone (not going to forget his historically bad year), Brissett, Eraserhead and Mahomes. Their has also been an uptick in the UDFA black quarterbacks littering rosters. QBs that do not have the requisite arm strength or accuracy to threaten more than half the field. Alot of these QBs have ranged from very bad to average. I thought after the 2012 season the league was going to go all in on the black quarterbacks but the league corrected itself in terms of defending the zone read and that killed the careers of the Toucan and Gremlin. Scam had his one good MVP season but as a passing QB has been underwhelming. I'd argue Mariota is also struggling after early success. Watson is a turnover machine, Brissett is somehow hyped up, Deshone got a second chance in Green Bay but let's hope they correct that mistake and Jameez is an average to at times above average QB (no real difference between him and Ryan Fitzpatrick to be honest). Mahomes (punchable face and all) is probably the most competent of the quotas and will replace Russell Wilson as the token black QB of the NFL. Undoubtedly Lamar Jackson is going to get hype and alot of built in excuses - the NFL, weenie analysts and DWFs all want him to succeed. He won't though because he can't throw. The hype behind the Ohio St. black quarterback is growing - have yet to hear any criticism around him even though he has played in a very qb friendly system at Ohio St that has produced two NFL non-factors - Cardale Jones (who all the experts had pegged as a surefire first rounder after a 4 game run) and JT Barrett.

You will also continue to see black QBs get compared favorably to white QBs - this is a trend I have noticed in the past 4-5 years. However no white player will be compared to a good black player.

Don has called this the golden age of QBs which it certainly is. I do feel that the league has become way too pass happy and the rules have essentially allowed for what baseball termed the juiced ball. They want points on the board at the expense of defense. We are seeing alot of great QBs with only single digits left in terms of seasons to play - Brady and Brees could both be gone in a year or two. The media is pushing Eli Manning out this year. Big Ben and Rivers both remain elite but are well in their 30s. Flacco is going to be jettisoned at some point for a black quarterback. Ryan and Rodgers probably have a good 5 seasons left in them.

The black quarterbacks actually seem to be getting worse over time, so the strategy is to pack them in as backups for life and pray for injuries. While Brady, Brees, Big Ben, and Rivers are near the end, with Flacco close behind; Rodgers, Ryan, and Dalton still have some years left, and a new generation is being launched before our very eyes with Goff, Cousins, Wentz, Trubisky, and even Mayfield. Alex Smith will keep going for a bit, as will Foles. Carr might break through with a more diverse team around him. They have been trying to black the QB position for over 40 years. It's still just Doug Williams and Russell Wilson winning the ultimate prize. There's not a black quarterback in the NFL right now as good as McNabb or Warren Moon. Everybody knows, including the DWF's. The bagel boys will keep on trying, but QB isn't going to get much blacker. Even in pee wee and flag leagues for little kids, the QB has to know the plays and stay cool. QB bees rayciss, like any other job where brains are required. They've tried to dumb down the game, and introduce every possible advantage. As long as the QB has to touch the ball on every play, and the forward pass is legal, QB is white. They can't think and they can't throw. Period.
