Bengals Vs Ravens. Bengals up 7-0 early, scored on an Andy Dalton TD pass. After a Joe Flacco INT. Sam Hubbard already with some early pressure!

I was surprised when Hubbard lasted until the third round in the draft. I don't know why. I shouldn't have been.

The Bengals got themselves a bargain.

No doubt. 1st Rd talent.

Another Dalton TD to Green. Bengals up 14-0. Baltimore wishes they could play Buffalo every week.

Fej (who forced another fumble), Hubbard, Vigil and Glasgow definitely make the Bengals defense worth supporting. Funny how Marvin Lewis is fairer to white players on defense than the vast majrority of white coaches are.

Dalton playing great today. Remembering how he would’ve been MVP a few years ago before he got hurt - could he rediscover that level of form this season?

I bet Flacco loves being pulled off the field for Eraserhead and his gimmick plays.

Absolutely. Troy Aikman actually remarked on this a couple of times during the game and expressed surprise that Flacco is tolerating it, especially when they make him split out wide and line up at receiver. Aikman also said that they were trying to make him do the same his last year in Dallas so they could design a couple of "packages" for Anthony Wright to come into the game, but he refused to participate. He said "I wasn't having any of that", but then explained that "things were different then". Not much. It's too bad Flacco doesn't tell John "Special Rules For black quarterbacks" Harbaugh to kiss off !!!!

Another positive to note is that the Ravens play 3 white TE's and split the snaps between them pretty fairly. Maxx Williams caught 3 balls for 32 yds, Nick Boyle caught 2 for 26, and 2nd rd pick Mark Andrews caught 3 for 17 yds and 1 TD!

I watched the entire game last night and on the Bengal's side some positives and negatives.

First the bad stuff. WR/KR/PR Alex Erickson did not get to lineup on offense. Erickson for now is strictly a return/mascot specialist.

Instead the Bengals have decided to force feed this WR Ross character until the well is completely dry. Ross did nothing last night except he did manage to drop an easy pass. All about potential with him is the buzzword but looking at Ross and the Raven's fellow speedster John Brown I noticed how slight they seem. You never see small slight white speedsters anywhere in the NFL and seldom in college too. Yes these guys are fast in the 40 yard dash but they are built like baseball shortstops.

The other negative is S Fejedelem was once again relegated to special teams and saw only a few mostly late snaps on defense.

QB Andy Dalton in my mind is the most underrated QB in the league.

LB Nick Vigil doesn't start but he saw a lot of third down action so they must like his mobility. He managed to make a slew of tackles last night.

And I have been a long time big fan of DE Sam Hubbard #94 and he was terrific last night. He finished with 5 tackles, one sack and two TFLs. He does not start but saw plenty of action and even lined up as a LB and DT at times. Very versatile. A first round talent that slid because of his 40 time. But he is plenty athletic. He killed the agility, quickness and strength drills and has explosive legs evidenced by a high vertical. But most important he is a real football player. Not one of those "looks good in individual workout types" who couldn't tackle a dummy.

I thought Clayton F was out on the field quite a bit, maybe I am wrong since I only caught bits of the first half. Shadow you are correct about the "looks" bit, which kind of makes me think the NFL is overrun with twinky types.

Vigil has been a three down starter the past two seasons, and looks to have upped his game after getting some (undeserved) flak following last year when he missed some games due to injury. He's been a tackling machine the first two games from his outside backer position with 17 solos already.

Agree with you about Dalton and Hubbard. Hubbard looks like a beast already, a steal for sure in the third round.

There was a nice sprinkling of White defensive players on the field last night by NFL standards. It was one of the "whiter" contests we'll see this year with White QBs, White TEs and majority White o-linemen to go along with the defensive players.

Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera said the goal for Christian McCaffrey this week was to enhance his workload by getting him the ball 15-20 carries and 6-10 receptions against the Falcons. I'm not doing much today because of the weather, so I'm staying positive and look forward to watching the game today!
Also, the Patriots will be on at the 4:30 game.
Is Burkhead out today?

Burkhead should play but we won't know for sure until he clears pregame warm-ups.

Ron Jowarski had a similar situation in Philly with Randall Cunningham. I never can understand why coaches do this beyond direct snaps as everybody knows after Slash and other gadget play guys what's going to happen.

Jackson could end up flattened like the proverbial Saturday morning cartoon character.

Same old, same old. McCaffrey gets one carry on opening drive......mostly used as a decoy........wide open on 3rd and 3........Scam throws to an afroletes who drops the ball

I said I would be positive and I still am, but I agree McCaffrey clearly wide open and Newton seems to just refuse to look CM's way most of the time. Two defenders on the intended receiver and the throw wasn't very accurate either.

Interesting call by the Falcons. Ryan leading them down the field and then let an athlete run the QB position and Kuechley makes a great play and tackle in the backfield. Holding Atlanta to a FG.

Vikings score - their 2016 1st round pick scores his first NFL TD. Took him 3 years! #blackprivilege

Steelers look like trash. DWFs can't blame Matakevich. Mulatto Mahomes is the media's non-white qb savior for this season.

Tip for Harrison follow Weddle's lead and cover up your white skin. Adams jukes two athletes for a td and they pan to 22
