2018 NFL Week 12

Basic clock management skills at the end of games is now all but extinct in the NFL. Dumbed down league, dumbed down society. . .

Good to see Trey Quinn seeing a lot of action, when he was picked as Mr. Irrelevant I assumed he would be more relevant that most of them. He looked great running routes and catching at the combine he should’ve been a round 4-5 pick

It's still hard to believe Quinn lasted to the last pick of the 7th round, even though he's white and we expect whites to be drafted lower than they deserve.

What are these scouts looking at? How was it that I, an amateur, was able to look at video and see that he would be a quality receiver in the NFL. It was obvious to see.

Whoever the Redskin DB is who is covering Amari Cooper on Dallas is horrible. He just gave up a 90 yard TD. No speed or tackling ability at all.

There were three Redskins players in Cooper's vicinity when he caught the ball. It was an example of the poor defensive play we've come to expect from so many black defensive players.

AJ Klein had his first Interception of the season today! Klein has had a very solid season so far, yet is always on the end of criticism no matter how well he plays.

Right now, last night Brees is in the zone. He will be hard to beat a month from now. SB bound no doubt.

At the Pro Football Researchers Association Forum, they're always perplexed by the stupid things current players do. For example, a poster just wondered why with the concern over head injuries, players are always head-butting each other after insignificant plays.

They (some are published authors on pro football history) never draw the obvious conclusion. Or don't want to draw it.

Watched a lot of sports yesterday including bits of college basketball. Only football game I missed was Air Force.

But I mainly watched the NFL games.

I agree with the posts above that the Bears game was brutal. Don makes a good point about the Lions TE Luke Wilson. It seems the trend now is to find a fast (usually white ) TE and make him a key component of the offense. Not the Lions. They use Luke Wilson like a double afterthought. Opinions differ here but I have found the Lions to be one of the worst caste offenders for years now. Sure they have a back up RB in Zenner but he barely registers. They throw him in for a brief spell and nothing more.

Well the Cowboys game gave us a chance to watch a Three Stooges reel. EP and others pointed out the Redskins and their DB play above.Remember the "big concern" in preseason was that Troy Apke was a "problem spot?" So what does that make the Three Stooges who were all near Amari Cooper and stumbled and bumbled with a big slice of brain dead reactions when Cooper scored on a 90 yard TD. That was beyond horrific. In fact the Redskins DB play yesterday was gruesome. I think their main concern was shutting down the white guy ( Cole Beasley). It seems to me at times that black DBs let their guard down when a brother is up against them. Pisses me off to no end.

Of course the post game talk was centered around the big addition of "big play" Cooper and how he "changed" the Cowboys. From the media perspective only ESPN Analyst Louis Riddick has been able to point out this season the dreadful DB play in the NFL.

Lost in the shuffle is the continued stalwart play of defendersS Jeff Heath (I will put him up next to any safety in the league) and the next Urlacher like player in L. Vander Esch.

Two young gifted skill players are slowly emerging of late. The Redskins WR Trey Quinn, mentioned above, ( who we all knew was a good player) and the Saints TE Dan Arnold who led the Saints in receiving with a 4-45-1 stat line. Even the all black announcing crew mentioned Arnold's speed. The hope of course is that both of these players start to blossom in bigger ways. We can hope. It is important for young white skill players to emerge so that the well doesn't run dry. Things are pretty barren out there overall.

I didn't see DE Hendrickson but both LBs Klein and Anzalone made their presence felt. Anzalone is becoming a game changer even in a back up role. For the second straight game all everything Taysom Hill didn't make any real big plays but he still showed his toughness during a couple of hard nosed runs. One of my favorite NFL players.

The caste flavored Falcons looked lost in space at times and of course they can't tackle. Nothing new there in this "new improved" version of the NFL.

Rodney Harrison complimented white players throughout the Saints game. He lacks polish but he was making some good points last night.

I generally like Rodney Harrison, and Tony Dungy too. The ubiquitous Mike Tirico is one of those annoying presences who will continue to plague us for the next 20 years.

The DB play is truly horrendous much of the time. Most of these clowns refuse to look around and track the ball even when the receiver they're covering is slowing down and obviously getting ready to try and make a catch. Do they simply refuse to accept coaching, or have the coaches given up even trying to get them to listen? Probably the former; it's a lot like kickoffs, where some player (a black one 98% of the time) can be counted on to block someone in the back on many of the runbacks.

I'm still waiting for the first article decrying the lack of good safeties and cornerbacks in the league, in fact at any black-dominated position. Only quarterback -- in the midst of a prolonged golden era thanks to the many great White ones playing -- is ritually denounced for a supposed lack of talent. It's really an extension of the rules of society in general, where one has to tread extremely carefully when criticizing any black person or anything that's black dominated.

Ball hog Newton fails to pick up the first down on 4th and 1. Commentators immediately blame White lineman..

McCaffrey got two carries in Seahawks ten but got stuffed on the second one. Still, the game is young, he already has 6 carries and two catches in the first quarter

Great Slowfoot #70 waddled in front of C-Mac then next play he puts it on the ground

McCaffrey charged for a fumble on a poor handoff from Newton on a zone-read play. the key to a zone-read, aside from obviously executing the handoff, is to have the quarterback correctly read the defensive end. Newton has done a poor job of this in the early going today, thus the poor average per carry for McCaffrey. Seattle is selling out inside to stop McCaffrey, but Newton isn’t making them pay by keeping the ball and running to the edge.

Mayfield on fire today.

McCaffrey with 99 total yards at halftime.

Eraserhead with two ints so far. They were both off deflections but bad passes none the less.

I was doing research for my fantasy team this week because I needed a QB because my regular QB, Jared Goff, has a bye. According to Yahoo Sports, Eraserhead had the highest projected point total for the week for all the available QBs. More than Andy Dalton and several other veterans. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Lamar Jackson 9-18, 2INT
Derek Carr 9-24 ...:copas:

that's why elite QB got more TV ratings
