All in all, a pretty good week (I know there's one more game, but I have zero interest in tomorrow's coal bowl). The Vikings, with 21 Whites on their 53-man roster, close it out with a win. McCaffrey's great day being against Pete's Plantation was particularly satisfying.
Ryan Tannehill and Andrew Luck (two fast QBs who could be great dual threats if they were used that way) both performed well in their game.
Philip Rivers was 28 of 29 for 259 yards, 3 TDs, completely pwning the coal-black Cardinals and their "chosen" QB Rosenstein, who finished with Lamar Jackson-type numbers.
Baker Mayfield went 19 for 26, 258 yards, 4 TDs. Clearly the best rookie QB this year, although the Browns are so boneheaded stupid that I think their selection of Mayfield at #1 was pure luck.

Ed Podolak is best known for the Dolphins-Chiefs 1971 playoff game. He had 17-85 rushing, 8-110 receiving, and returned three kickoffs for 154. But he didn't have 100 rushing and receiving. Jan Stenerud missed a close FG after Podolak's long kick return at the end of regulation. The Dolphins won in the second overtime.
John David Crow was a possibility in his early years with the Cardinals but when I checked Pro Football Reference, Crow never had over 100 both rushing and receiving in the same game.

Beware of a team that has slid into a castehole. You know how every year they add words to the dictionary?
Castehole: an NFL team that was fairly good ( but never Super Bowl contenders) for a while but is now terrible. Markers include a black run locker room and a roster with very few white players and only replenishes with more black players. The Giants can relate.
Step right up Raiders and Cardinals to name two. There are of course teams that are caste heavy and have sucked for ages like the Jets and Lions.
Now it seems the Jags are entering into that twilight castehole phase after only one year of mini glory. The black athletic wonders on the Jags defense just got undressed by a raw athletic country young player in Josh Allen who everyone thought wouldn't be able to "handle" the NFL. Mind you Allen had to do it with one of the worst supporting casts on offense in the league.
What to do if you notice your team is sloping towards a castehole? Get some skilled white players and quick. A good example is the Steelers. Heading to castehole hell they added stud edge TJ Watt, two solid white TEs and snuck in a solid KR/PR/WR in Ryan Switzer. Now they are a contender instead of a pretender. Albeit that loss against Denver yesterday was worse than pathetic. Big Ben throws for like a thousand yards but the meatheads turned the ball over several times with the worst being some unknown dweeb TE Grimble fumbling the ball out of the end zone right before scoring. No wonder Tomlin looked like he was going to shoot someone after the game.
I think the Bengals are finally going to have to make a HC change. They can recover because they aren't completely knee deep in castehole hell but enough is enough. Time for new blood and a new approach including getting rid of the criminals on the team.
Carolina is failing Luke Kuechly and CM the two key components of their team. Not even going to blame Cam. The front office and the coaching staff have failed to bring in NFL caliber WRs. The defense beyond Kuechly is wretched. The DBs are so bad they should be shipped off to the CFL or the unemployment line. I feel especially sorry for Kuechly. He plays his heart out there every week and they saddle him with a bunch of losers. How many times late in games have their DBs allowed receivers to get behind them.? Hell that is taught in DB grade school. For CM to get better recognition Carolina needs to win.
I guess the media death watch for Tom Brady has to be delayed. Give me a break. He looked like his usual brilliant self as they sleepwalked past the hapless Jets. I can only watch just one early game every Sunday and it is the Pats if they play an early game. Edelman looks like he is getting his legs back. He was stellar with a 4-84-1 stat line. Even Chris Hogan nabbed two passes for over 40 yards. No more dink and dunk stuff to him please.
Finally the Packers. Would it had killed the Packers to have drafted a smart on the same page as the QB type of white WR to help Aaron Rodgers? At least Adam Thielen's tremendous performance last night took the edge off of the week. Note. Most important defensive play of the entire game? S Harrison Smith darting in and stopping a fourth and one.

Ok, so two white players accomplished the feat, but McCaffrey is the only one to go 100-100 in the Super Bowl Era.
I read that Christian is only the 3rd player since 2010 to have 100-100 in the same game...

I caught a couple minutes - Watson clearly fumbled after a long run but the refs did not rule it a fumble nor overturn it after replay. Another example of Houston being lucky rather than good.

Burkehead is a versatile RB who, if healthy, could’ve easily eclipsed 1000 yards from scrimmage last year and this year. But that’s the problem, he can’t stay healthy.
It’s extremely unfortunate because him ending up in NE was a best case scenario. This is the one team in the NFL that has consistently given white WRs and RBs an opportunity to play and utilize their skills. Burkehead has had a few good games, underutilized in others, and then pretty much hurt the rest of the time. Unless he can come thru with a strong showing these last 5 games plus the postseason, I’m not sure the Pats keep him next year.

he did have 18 carries to begin the season, got over 60 yards but only caught 1 pass. it would take a miracle and two long plays for him to get a shot at 100/100. I'd be happy just seeing him used a lot for now.

Glutton for punishment and bored out of my mind I watched most of the game last night. Maybe I caught them on a good night and I know their schedule has been weak but I can't dismiss Houston out of hand.
They lack the bells and whistles of other top contenders like the Chiefs, Steelers and Patriots but something tells me they will not be an easy out come playoff time. I have never been able to get a proper read on their QB Watson and am still not sure. At times he flashes Wentz like talent and at other times he looks pedestrian. He is moving better than earlier in the year where he looked slow and out of sorts coming off an ACL injury. Their offense is predictably caste. Their TE Ryan Griffith is used more as a blocker but he knows what to do if they do throw him a pass which is once in a while. One of those turtle offenses but might just be enough.
That is because they have a sound defense. Although let me rephrase that. Their DBs are the usual NFL shoddy type and last night they gave up a long TD bouncing off one another. The LB core doesn't look special. But their front four is ominous. And the ring leader is JJ Watt who played DE last night. Their best player by a country mile Watt looks like some big kid playing against a small pee wee team. At one point the Titans foolishly tried to block him with a TE. Watt swatted him away like a fly. Watt also as most know has not been 100% for a few years now but looks like he is getting back to top form. He swallows up everything in his path. If he stays healthy other teams won't be able to stop him from disrupting their offenses.
It would be hard to get anymore caste than the Titans a boring team if there ever was one. I have never liked their run first QB Mariota. He dinked and dunked apart from a couple of long passes all night long giving out the impression that he is proficient. The media has always liked Mariota but I just don't get it. His defense often keeps games close. If he had to actually win a game by himself forget it. I didn't like him in college and I still don't like him. He also gets sacked a lot for a mobile QB. What is it that he does well other than run the ball?

Last night, JJ “The Nordic Beast” Watt had 9 tackles, a FF, and 1.5 sacks.
He now has 45 tackles and 11.5 sacks on the season. I noted that he looked like he was “finished” early in the year and I’m happy to have been dead wrong in that declaration!

I was channel surfing last night and watched a few minutes of a CFL game. Ellingson who at 6'3" 197 lbs. with 4.4 speed ( prototypical NFL numbers) has been a star. I looked back on his resume and saw that he was cut by a few NFL teams. They love to pull out the old chopping block when it comes to white wide receivers.
With his success record is it that big of a stretch to think he could become a steady in the NFL? I guess so. And when you consider so many NFL black WRs basically free lance it when running patterns and often can't catch the ball when they are open, it really burns to see a player like Ellingson toil in the relative anonymity of the CFL.

SL, the CFL is huge in Canada, all the Yank teams/scouts know every player in the CFL so it is not toiling in relative anonymity, sure it is not the NFL but it is far better than playing in Europe. Although I do get pissed off at all the scrub affletes and crap black coaches in the CFL. Ellingson is 30 and most likely wont get another shot at the NFL which is a crying shame. He constantly makes the negro dbs in the CFL look like pylons made of cement lol

I read yesterday that a Greg Ellingson was fined by the CFL for not giving an adequate breath sample at a police check station in Canada. I really don't how much breathe it takes in Canada but here in the U.S.A. you blow until you just about get dizzy headed.
