I think it's a combination of things...their awful draft picks over the past few years finally coming home to roost; Edelman's loss (proving he's more than just a Belichick "plug-and-play" receiver) who had established tremendous chemistry with Brady, always on the same page mentally (which will/can never be that way with a receiver like Dorsett); Amendola (who's somewhat a "poor man's" Edelman) but has the same chemistry with Brady, injured; and not using their best workhouse and dynamic back, Burkhead. Burkhead is the type that gets better the more he plays. He would usually tote the ball 20 to 30+ times a game while at Nebraska along with catching it out of the backfield. After Burkhead ripped off that 15-yard run, I thought they would finally ride him to victory, but they yanked him. That's not the right thing to do. I think the whole "running back by committee" thing is being overdone these days. NE looked schizo on offense last night...really bizarre.
