2017 NFL Draft

With most of our impactful WRs in the NFL either in their in their late 20s to early 30s this year may see us make some positive gains. This is probably the deepest white WR draft I can remember. Granted alot of things need to go our way between now and draft time (player health, senior bowl/east west shrine game invites, combine invites) but the depth overall allows me slight optimism as compared to years past.

Cooper Kupp
Ryan Switzer
Trent Taylor
Jordan Westerkamp
Drew Morgan
Thomas Sperbeck
Brandon Reily
River Cracraft
Gehrig Dieter
Tanner Gentry
Jake Mauldhart

So what is it looking like for McCaffrey? I'm glad in his last game he showed he's fully back. Where would he be projected to go?
Does it look like he may not declare?

I agree there is some depth here but the usual landmines as well. Morgan is doubtful due to long term injury issues and the bottom half of the list have no NFL buzz--it seems you listed the players in order of chances because Kupp and Switzer are the top two. Taylor, who is having a very productive season probably pulled ahead of Westerkamp who has had an erratic season due to injuries, play calling and mediocre QB play. Sperbeck has the production while Reilly has the speed and athleticism. Any of the above must run a quality 40 yard dash time. It is imperative. Anything in the 4.4 range, even a 4.49 most likely gets the first four drafted. The question is can the top four run a sub 4.5 40 yard dash? It would be a miracle if four white wide receivers are drafted but I give a 33% chance of three being drafted, two being drafted or one being drafted. I'll split the difference and say two get drafted but I am hoping for four no question about it.

I'm still seeing him projected in bottom half of first round in a lot of the mock drafts I've read lately. I think he should declare as long as he finishes season strong. No reason to come back next year and risk injury. He already got screwed out of Heisman once and I doubt Stanford has enough in them to be championship contender next year.

A few years ago Tavon Austin was drafted in the top ten by the Rams. The Rams even traded up to get Austin.

McCaffrey is a far better prospect than Austin. Austin was taken in the top ten so McCaffrey deserves to be.

Of course, since the NFL is so anti-white, this is unlikely to occur.

Definitely agree with you there, talent wise he should be top 10 but realistically racist NFL doesn't see it that way. I want him to go first round but less concerned how high he goes. Ideally I'd like to see him up with a white friendly Team like the Packers, Patriots, or Broncos.

bad teams normally aren't white friendly, so McCaffrey is going late in the first round, I don't think Patriots (Belichick) will let him drop to the second day. His stats is still impressive though this season his team is really bad on the both sides. Who say Kevin Hogan is "too mediocre"? He's not the star-like QB, but still get a job in NFL, if you check this Stanford O and that is 100% awful. People might say McCaffrey isn't productive than last year, but we have to confess this Stanford having only 1 weapon - McCaffrey, so he's still impressive.

Cooper Kupp's stock is rising, thanks to 2017 Draft isn't a year for WR crop, he's really good and might have the chance to go 2nd round. How long there's no white WR went to 1-2 round draft since Jordy Nelson (08) ?

Real bad news for Chad Kelly:

The Clarion Ledger's Hugh Kellenberger reports that Ole Miss redshirt senior QB Chad Kelly will miss the remainder of the 2016 season with a torn ACL and lateral meniscus in his right knee.

Kellenberger relays that Kelly suffered the severe knee injury during Saturday's win over Georgia Southern. The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder had completed 16-of-23 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown prior to going down injured. Redshirt freshman quarterback Jason Pellegrin came on after Kelly's exit. Pellegrin is likely to start in Swag's place for the remainder of the season (as it were). HC Hugh Freeze is hoping to preserve the redshirt of super-freshman Shea Patterson. As for Kelly, the quarterback will now commence his rehab in the hopes to be in fighting form ahead of the April draft.

The Chad Kelly ACL injury is a pretty big deal IMO. He is going to have to miss the Senior Bowl, Combine and probably his pro day. He may hold a workout late in the process - probably April but by that point without all the other places to showcase his talent and the injury his stock has probably dropped by quite a bit.

Yeah, I don't care how high or low McCaffrey gets drafted, I just want him to go to a team that will:

a) let him play and

b) allow him to develop

It's funny how every 4 or 5 years we have a good White running back come out of college, yet he always manages to get drafted to a team that is already set at the position. for example:

Who drafted Brian Leonard? The Rams, who already had Steven Jackson.
Who drafted Jacob Hester? The Chargers, who already had LaDanian Tomlinson.
Who drafted Toby Gerhart? The Vikings, who already had Adrian Peterson.
Who drafted Tyler Gaffney? The Panthers, who at the time had both Deangelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart.
Who drafted Rex Burkhead? The Bengals, who drafted Giovanni Bernard in the 2nd round of the same draft, and who earlier in the offseason gave a contract to Benjarvis Green Ellis, coming off a career year.

So who will take McCaffrey? Probably Pittsburgh with Bell or the Cowboys who have Elliott; rest assured it'll be some team with absolutely no need to draft a running back...

I think Kittle might be a riser during the process. Pretty remarkable the wr pool is deeper than the te pool this draft cycle. It's still early though and things can change.

Anti white media and scouts are doing their best to hype up this year's crop of black TE's.. This ass clown Eric Galko has 8 of the top 10 TEs as black. Butt and Price are the only honkeys fortunate to grace this afflete jock sniffers list.

I think Scott Orndorff has had a really good senior season and should have caught scouts attention with his dominant performance over Clemson yesterday.

If he declares Mason Rudolph is this year's "out of nowhere" top QB prospect. He had no preseason recognition which carried into the first half of this college football season. As the beloved black quarterbacks that were supposed to make up this "amazing" class have shown their true colors Mason Rudolph has been consistently excellent while playing for a big time program yet still flying under the radar.

Cracraft is done for the year with an ACL injury. It will more than likely be the end of the line for him unfortunately as a white skill position player getting a chance at the next level after suffering a devastating injury never happens.
