Edelman has somehow already re-injured his perpetually injured right foot, and now this.

Patriots waived/injured WR T.J. Moe. Moe's injury was not disclosed. An undrafted rookie out of Missouri, Moe could "redshirt" the 2013 season and return to compete for a job in 2014.

Don,

Despite initial reports, Edelman didn’t actually re-injure his foot in any offseason practice session; he supposedly had a “clean up procedure” from his December surgery that required a walking boot…

Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was still wearing a walking boot on his right foot tonight at Tom Brady's charity event at Harvard. Edelman underwent a clean-up procedure earlier in the offseason workout program, and it was unclear in early May if he had a chance to return to the field in time for minicamp June 11-13. Since Edelman is still wearing the boot, that is obviously still up in the air. Edelman's absence from the last two weeks of organized team activities means Brady's seven leading receivers from 2012 have not been on the field. Wes Welker departed for the Broncos, Brandon Lloyd was released, Danny Woodhead signed with the Chargers, Deion Branch is still a free agent, and Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez and Edelman are recovering from surgeries.

Either way, his once-promising career has been rife with all kinds of injuries, starting with breaking his forearm during his rookie season. I’ve been following New England quite closely for many years, reading countless articles, especially during the season. Edelman’s name has been listed on the “Did No Participate in Practice” list for at least 60% of practice sessions since 2009. It’s really no wonder why he was re-signed for the league minimum. I’ve read that he’ll return before training camp, but I’m worried that one of the many non-white receivers signed and drafted during the “Great Offseason De-Whitening Program” will steal his roster spot. Hawkins, Jenkins, Jones, Boyce and Dobkins don’t return punts (Edelman’s primary contribution for many seasons), however, recently signed RB, Leon Washington, does.

With the unfortunate loss of Moe, New England currently has 87 players signed to their active roster, 36 of which are white (or around 42%). Despite a slight drop in white players (Welker, Woodhead, Trevor Scott, etc), this is around nearly the exact same percentage as the 2012 offseason following the draft.

The Broncos will feature a more white-friendly offense; however, they will field two sumo OT’s while New England’s OL will again start 5 whites.

Hey, Tim Tebow is now a New England Patriot! I hope the young man gets a fair shot to make the roster and run a few plays in games, even if they are trick/gadget plays.

Backrow already mentioned this in the Tim Tebow thread…

Collie worked out for the Patriots Tuesday, shortly before the start of the team's minicamp and the beginning of the Tim Tebow era, a person informed of the workout told USA TODAY Sports.

The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the Patriots don't comment publicly on workouts, said no signing was imminent and Collie might have another workout with another team later this week.

With addition of Tebow and LB A.J. Edds, New England currently has 89 out of 90 possible roster spots filled for mini-camp. Assuming he is signed, Collie would be competing against the likes of Donald Jones, Lavelle Hawkins, Michael Jenkins, and three black rookies (Thompkins, Dobson, and Boyce). Of course, Amendola and Edelman could also be competition if New England commits the same crime as Indianapolis…that is, wasting the uncoverable Austin Collie in the slot when he’s obviously a flanker or split end.

New England has an atrocious record when drafting wide receivers, so hopefully the three rookie Negroes “wash out” in the same embarrassing manner as Bethel Johnson (2003 draft), P.K. Sam (2004 draft), Chad Jackson (2006 draft), Brandon Tate (2009 draft), and Taylor Price (2010 draft)…

Interestingly enough, the only two WR's drafted by New England in the Belichick era to have any offensive impact is Julian Edelman (a 7[SUP]th[/SUP] round throwaway pick in 2009) and Deion Branch (2003).

well speaking of receivers, Amendola and Brady are developing great chemistry. They said Brady was very animated when they both saw the same thing with the coverage on a route, im assuming an option route.

It would be a big stretch to think Bellicheck would bring in Collie to play outside receiver. He has had trouble filling that spot since Moss left and that is because they don't want to put a White guy there. I do think we will see Amendola play both inside and outside, probably more slot though.

The media wants people to be sick of Tebow, its been almost non stop coverage on ESPN since the news broke. People are sick of hearing about Tebow and its driving viewers away, yet they still talk about it. Why talk about something that drives away viewers? yeah no agenda there.

I am hoping AJ Edds can stay healthy, he was really promising coming out, a linebacker that can cover like a safety and he can also play tight end.

It's the best Tebow could possibly hope for. I mean what other team would give him any chance at all? Even if another team did, they'd just make a joke out of him like the Jets did.

I saw Belichek's press conference and appreciated the way he just gave short answers to the Tebow acquisition. This is the type of protection from the media Tim needs. After a few days of this treatment the media should get a clue.

It appears more and more likely that Aaron Hernandez murdered, or was at least involved in the murder of Negro, Odin Lloyd…

odin.jpg

CAPTION: Negro Killed by Puerto Rican Millionare

Hernandez was tampering with surveillance equipment and a cell phone, had his mansion professionally cleaned hours prior to it being searched by police, he rented the SUV in which Lloyd’s dead body was found, and was seen with Lloyd (at a strip club, of course) the night he died. Also, earlier in the week, he was accused of shooting a different man named Alex Bradley in the face back in February (while driving home from a strip club).

I always knew that the ambiguously-raced Hernandez was repeatedly in trouble for Marijuana while at Florida (which is why he wasn’t a 1[SUP]st[/SUP] round pick), but by all accounts, he’s been trouble-free since being drafted. I had a hunch that this buffoon was frequenting strip clubs, given his perma-inane “touchdown dance routine” in which he would mime the act of tossing money at a stripper…

aaron-hernandez-make-it-rain-o.gif

CAPTION: Role Model

If he’s incarcerated in the near future, it could mean a much larger offensive role for TE Jake Ballard, TE Zach Sudfeld, as well as more touches for Amendola and/or Julian Edelman (assuming he makes the squad). The absence of Hernandez could really help to suppress New England’s off-season goals of de-whitening their high-octane offensive attack...

CAPTION: Roster Hopeful, Zack Sudfeld, Could Now Make Squad

*Note -- “Südfeld” means “South Field” in German

Assuming he’s actually guilty…how ironic that New England decided to bestow such a massive contract to this murderous thug and not perennial team MVP, Wes Welker?

I hear there are other shooting incidents involving Hernandez that never made the news. Guys favorite hobby is shooting people.

Well at least this will overshadow "Tebowmania" and Tim can fly under the radar and continue to improve.

Of course not. Now the media is speculating that Tebow will move to tight end. This was even linked on Drudge.

http://connecticut.cbslocal.com/2013/06/20/will-tebow-be-the-patriots-tight-end-this-season/

While I'd like to see Tebow make the team and get some playing time, I'd rather him stay at QB. They could use him in "wildcat-esqe" sets or line him up at tail back for tough yards or goal line. The Pats should be fine at tight end, assuming Jake Ballard is fully healthy. Let's not forget he was excellent for the Giants 2 years ago. Also, Sudfeld seems to have alot of potential as a pass catcher.

As for Hernandez, I hear the prisons are always looking for tight ends but it's rumored that he'd be immediately moved to wide receiver. Couldn't resist....

If in fact Hernandez was involved in this killing, I wonder if there was a racial aspect to it. The victim was black, as was, I believe, the guy who is suing Hernandez for a shooting incident earlier in the year. I read somewhere that Hernandez is half Italian half Puerto Rican, wonder if thats true.

Well, yes, Hernandez is half Italian/half Puerto Rican (mestizo) underneath all of his tatoos, but you can be sure that he'll be a "white" guy if this goes to trial, ala Zimmerman.

I think the whole Tebow to tight end thing is wishful thinking by the MSM. It would take a year to get him adjusted how to block adequately. I mean most college tight ends can't even block that well coming into the league, and even the ones who blocked in college struggle at times. It would probably take a little while to run good/great routes. I am sure he could do okay his first year there but nothing major, which is why it would make more sense to have Jake Ballard as the starter.

Now Tebow could be used in a role similar to Hernandez. Hernandez has lined up at a bunch of different spots. I think they said he took over 100 snaps at runningback (perhaps they meant fullback and halfback). I know he didn't get that many carries, so most of it was pass blocking and running routes. He did have a couple of nice runs, and I remember thinking on one of them, had that been Woodhead with that kind of blocking it would have been a highlight reel td.

I could see them lining hi up at a few different spots , running some of the basic things like just sneaking out into the flat lined up at halfback or fb. Also think that McDaniels will use him in a wildcat role like he did his first year. With Bellicheck I wouldn't be surprised if they put him at linebacker for some packages. I mean he is a qb, I am sure he could diagnose plays and react at linebacker.

Yes it takes time to figure out how to get low and drive a huge end or Lawrence Taylor type linebacker. I do recall a few big runs from Hernandez on end around runs. But I think Hernandez is a shade quicker than Tebow. Tebow could in theory do more heavy lifting in the trenches than Hernandez as Hernandez is really built like a longer slot receiver that the CFL has featured since the death of CFL tight end. As for the legal problems of Hernandez I think he is up Sh**s Creek without the proverbial paddle. If it's just obstruction charges for a homicide he might do a short stint in prison, but for murder his career would be over. Even a protracted legal limbo could destroy his career.

I never considered Hernadez as "White"...always as a latino thug. Now, his untermensch hoodlum status is being (further) proven. Hopefully, this affords White players more reps/passes on offense.

I don't think Hernandez is quicker than Tebow, Tebow ran faster in the 3 cone drill and about the same shuttle time (Tebow was .01 quicker), Tebow had a faster 10 yard split, by a tenth of a second. Aaron had a 4.64 at his pro day which is similar to Tebow's 4.7 at the combine. I think Tebow looked slower last year because of the weight they asked him to gain. It looked like he gained mostly fat and I think that might have changed some people's memories on his speed. It looked like his burst was gone. That and the fact that I am pretty sure he was taught to avoid contact as much as possible when he was under John Fox in Denver and looked like he was heading toward the sideline once he got the first down, giving defenders an easier chance to catch up, although in the redzone itwas a different story. I remember the 40 yard qb draw his first year, he looked pretty quick there. His time under McDaniels is when he looked the quickest and fastest in the NFL.

as for Hernandez? didn't Marvin Harrison shoot someone and kill them? seems like the media stopped covering that quickly. Of course there is Ray Lewis. Dante Stallworth definitely killed someone drunk driving as well as Leonard Little. I know the circumstances are different but I don't know if it would ruin his career. Maybe it depends on if they consider him White or hispanic :). They are trying to get as many hispanic players in the league as possible, like Victor Cruz. Even though he is black, they make sure to play that commercial with his hispanic looking mother, and his hispanic looking grandmother, who have an accent and definetely are hispanic. Also, he has the salsa dance.

Speaking of drills...check out who has the All-Time Patriots Records for Fastest in the "Box/X-Drill: & "L Drill"...none other than Danny Woodhead(5.97 & 4.18 respectively)...also WR's Julian Edelman( X-Drill=5.86) & Wes Welker(L-Drill=4.13)...to the far right record board

Well done Twenty Two. Of course all one needs to do to see how quick those guys are is simply watch them play. Still its always nice to have official data to shove in the faces of DWFs, and black supremacists.

I was thinking more along the lines that his muscles get soft because of a protracted trial, appeals and maybe jail time and he hits the football field X years down the road and he is shot. Heranandez's game is based more on speed and quickness more than power and that is the first to go with age and inactivity. PS some times guys look faster because of stride length or turnover. Hernandez has a long strider type of running style.

It's official, Aaron Hernandez is now an ex-Patriot. They released him shortly after his arrest this morning:

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...n-t-waste-time-releasing-aaron-143800707.html

Great news!

Just last summer, New England bestowed an enormous contract (5 years, $40 million, with a $12.5 million signing bonus) upon this murderous, strip club-frequenting worm, yet the NFL’s most productive receiver and team MVP, Wes Welker, was allowed to sign with a conference rival for the difference of $2 million in annual salary…

CAPTION: Thug Behavior Helps Bob Krafty Get His “Just Deserts”

It turns out that Alexander Bradley, the “friend” that Hernandez shot in the face back in February (when the two got in an argument whilst returning from a strip club), is a convicted drug dealer…

Alexander-Bradley-after.jpg

CAPTION: Alex Bradley, Hernandez’s First "Kopfschuss" Victim

Since Brady was constantly peppering Hernandez with targets (which never seemed to connect)…his release could only mean more touches for Rob Gronkowski (assuming he’s ever healthy), Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman, Jake Ballard, and Zach Sudfeld. With Hernandez now Persona Non Grata, the loss of Woodhead and Welker from the whitest offense in 30 years might not sting as much as I originally thought.

Projected Offensive Starters (9 Whites): QB Brady, RB Ridley, WR Jenkins, WR Amendola, LT Solder, LG Mankins, C Wendell, RG Connolly, RT Vollmer, TE Gronkowski, TE Ballard...

tlumacki_patriotspractice_sports207.r.jpg

CAPTION: Ballard Looks to Re-Bound After Breakout 2011 Campaign

Meanwhile, the Bob Sanders-esque WR, Julian Edelman, has allegedly shed his walking boot and is running short routes...

Edelman, who re-injured his right foot this offseason, was out of his walking boot and doing some short, slow routes on the filed at Gillette Stadium after practice on Tuesday afternoon. He caught passes from a member of the Patriots’ training staff while another staffer swatted a towel at him as he attempted to catch the ball.

He did a good job concentrating on the passes and even gave a slight jog to catch up to a few balls that were thrown out a little wide. Just being out of the protective boot and doing some short routes is a positive sign for Edelman and the Patriots offense, even if it’s only a small step in his recovery process.

Just heard that Hernandez' legal team's area of expertise is murder.
