Wow! Dallas hammering Minnesota at the half 62-43. Dirk only 6 points!

Love and Pekovic having a pretty good half.

Love 17/5/3

Pekovic 10/2

Crazy! Minnesota has come back to tie Dallas 81-81, end of 3!

Love 12 3rd quarter points, Rubio 11 assists. Should be a great 4th quarter!

Love 29/9/4 through 3!

You spoke too soon my friend. Remember they have the MVP Kevin Love & Company. The Timberwolves have battled back to tie the game at 81 a piece going into the 4th quarter. What has Love done you ask? All he has done is score 29 points while pulling down 9 boards and 3 assists. Wow is this guy special. Come on Twolves. Let's get a win and that would be three in a row!

Sorry C.S. I just noticed you beat me to the post. What a game so far.

No problem brother! I figured you were watching. Yes, great game and this is what Love needs to do to become an all-time great player. Yes, pulling hard for the T'Wolves!

Dirk is having a good game too for the Mavs. I noticed that Kevin Love is perfecting one of Dirks long time moves. The step back shot. Love even does it from three point range which is almost unheard of. His passing too in incredible and he is taking charges out there. The guy is just an incredible all around player. Come on Minnesota. Bring it home.

That was a disappointing loss, 100-98, to have come back from 19 points down, take the lead, only to lose by 2! Minnesota's is going to have to find a way to win more games, quickly!

Love 36/11/4
Pekovic 18/10
Rubio 13 ast./ 9 rebs.

Dirk 16/5/3

Oh well, New Orleans beat Portland.

That was a very tough loss. The Minnesota Timberwolves have not won a game in a long time if not all year that was decided by under 4 points. They also for the 5th time in a row failed to get above 500. This has to be driving the coach and the team nuts. I will say one thing though. How was that not a foul on Kevin Love? The crowd knew it. The announcers knew it and I saw it. No doubt about it. Love should have been shooting free throws to send the game to overtime.

It took the 2nd best game of Shawn Marions Career for the Mavs to win. Who would have thought that would happen at 35 yeasr of age? Minnesota has had some really bad luck and Budinger and Turiaf are still a few weeks away from playing. Hope they can bounce back on Wed Night against the Pelicans. Another superb game by Love ruined with an devastating close loss.

Love is now second in the league in scoring with 26.5 points per game after another monster 36 point game. I don't expect him to surpass Durant, who is a full two ppg ahead but it would be awesome if he could at least maintain second place till the end of the season.

I don't know wa33, less than a month ago Love was 6th in scoring at 23.7, so that's almost a 3 point raise. If Durant slips and Love can keep scoring, you never know. It would be quite an accomplishment though, even if he finishes 1st in rebounding and 2nd in scoring. There's only a select few in that category also.

on a side note....

Dragic, PHX. 26/8 last night.

Trust me on one thing. Don't ever underestimate Kevin Love. People did it with Larry Bird and he went to the NBA Finals five times winning three ringss. Kevin Love is capable of winning the scoring and rebounding title. He knows that for this team to win, he has to be at his best every night. The only thing that can stop Kevin Love would be another freak injury. He is that good. Look at at the season he had 2 years ago where he was a monster all season long. My point is that he has a great chance to win the scoring title. When Chase comes back, it should free up even more shots inside the paint. One last thing. While it would be incredible to see Love win the scoring/rebounding title, I would trade that for a deep playoff run! On second thought, why not get greedy. I want both titles and the playoffs!

Kevin Love is one of those people whom Blacks simply CANNOT shuck and jive and deny away giving him his due credit.

He's a baller, plain and simple, and among the best of the best. Haters are going to hate, but they'll just have to watch Love fly.

T'Wolves and Pelicans tonight. Rubio may be trying to respond to his critics for not scoring enough, he has 4 points in the 1st 3 minutes.

Rubio 10 1st half points. 3 for 5 from the floor and 5 assists. Minnesota needs this kind of production from him every night!

David Lee having a big night for Golden State, 24/11/2 through 3 quarters, as the Warriors are whipping Miami, 93-80. However, Lee does have 4 PF's. Don't know how much he'll play in the fourth.

Lee, 32/14/3 in Golden States win over Miami, 123-114!

Could be another big night for some white players....

Hayward, Dragic, Plumlee playing well early. Hayward 18 first half points for Utah!

David Lee is such a breath of fresh air. Here we have a legitimate, BEASTLY superstar who can arguably be called one of the premier five players in the entire league (I'd say even top 3), and he seems like a nice, down-to-earth, clean cut guy.

Being a superstar millionaire I'm not expecting him to be a boy scout, but at least he's not some tattooed idiot like that Birdman on Miami or countless Black players.

Lee would be a refreshing sea change even if he were BLACK; the fact that he's White makes him all the more special.

He's an example to lots of White kids that there's really no physical reason why they should not take up the game of basketball, if only for fun and fitness. We all know that politics and Black crybabies will rig the pitch so that the NBA will always be a "Black" sport.

David Lee is a legit All-Star. He's averaging 18.5 points and almost 10 rebounds a game. As much as we like Kevin Love and the insane numbers he puts up every night, I find Lee's stats more impressive because he plays alongside another All-Star in Stephen Curry who averages 23.5 per game, not to mention some of the other scorers on that team. Love is pretty much a one man show in MIN, and only Pekovic seems to bring it every night on a consistent basis. If only Rubio could become that guy and average 15-17 ppg, MIN would be right in the middle of the playoff race.

Well said GM and foobar.

Last nights top performances.......

Lee, 32/14/3

Belinelli, SA. 32/5

Hayward, 22/4

Dragic, 33/7/3 stls.
Plumlee, 12 rebs.

Fredette, 15 points/5 boards in 16:39, he continues to play well in the few minutes he gets!

Hawes, 10/7, he's been struggling somewhat, I'm not sure if it's a nagging knee injury, but he's not performing the way he did earlier in the year. Hoping he gets back to his form. He could be another Lee!

Again, well said foobar75. Golden State also has Andrew Bogut averaging over 10 boards a game and yes Curry is going to get his.

Minnesota has of course, Love 26/13, Pekovic 17/9 and not to laud Kevin Martin, but he's averaging almost 20, (19.9) for Minnesota. I think Love does have some help, but as you said, Rubio has to become a consistent scoring threat for Minnesota to be a formidable playoff opponent!

Right GiovaniMarcon! I remember hearing about Lee in high school, schooling brotha's in St. Louis and winning slam dunk contests! Duke was heavily recruiting him, but lost out to Florida.

You're welcome foobar75. It's kind of exciting to see so many white players doing so well. It's really got me more interested in the NBA. I haven't really paid attention since the 80's. I hope we can get more in the NBA next year out of college.

Going into tonight's action.... scoring and rebounding leaders.

Rebounding....

1. Love, MN. 13.9. The Man, the MVP!
5. Vucevic, OR. 11.4, Great young player. Hopefully he can develop his offense as he seasons!
8. Bogut, GS. 10.7, rebounding machine
11. Lee, GS. 10.0, AVG. a double/double
15. P. Gasol, LAL. 9.4
16. Plumlee. PHX. 9.1, another good young player surprising many, had a career game 17/16 couple of nights ago.
17. Gortat, WAS. 9.0
17. Hawes, PHI. 9.0, needs to be a more consistent scorer to get to Lee's level.
17. Pekovic, MN. 9.0, a beast, really helps Love.
31. Valanciunas, TO. 8.0
37. Koufos, MEM. 7.1
37. M. Gasol, MEM. 7.1, still injured.

Scoring.....

3. Love, MN. 25.9
12. Nowitzki, DAL. 21.6
18. Anderson, NO. 20.4, slipping a little, need him to keep stepping up,
27. Dragic, PHX. 18.4, top 12 in assists also
28. Lee, GS. 18.3, should be an all star again!
33. Pekovic, MN. 17.4, beginning to help Love out with scoring.
34. Parsons, HOU. 17.3, really needs to be a 20 point a night player?
41. Hayward, UT. 16.4, see Parsons description?
45. M. Gasol, MEM. 16.0, injured
46. Redick, LAC. 15.8, injured
51. Hawes, PHI. 15.0, should be avg. a double/double and an all star.
53. P. Gasol, LAL. 14.7

Big night of action tonight. Let's hope our guys perform well!!!!!!
\

I haven't updated the stat leaders in about a week. Not much has changed as far as our guys in the top 40-50.

Love is now no. 2 in scoring, but everything is about the same, however, Spencer Hawes continues to drop scoring wise and I'm a little concerned he has a knee problem. He started out so strong! He has dropped out of the top 50 in scoring, 14 points/game, but remains at no. 21 in rebounding at 8.8.

We have 11 guys in the top 50 scoring leaders, with Mark Gasol and J.J. Redick still injured.

We have 12 guys in the top 40 in rebounding! That's 23 white players in the top 90, with ties, or so in scoring and rebounding. I'm still astonished by this, but quite pleased.

Many of these guys in action tonight, I'll keep up with most of the games, if I don't fall asleep. Maybe the west coast guys can update the Utah/LA game tonight!
