Finally Olynyk has a break out game. He looked so good in summer league.

Minnesota cannot win on friday nights. It's the friday night jinx. Every single week. I don't get it. They missed a million three pointers and free throws tonight. It cost them the game. I still say though that there biggest weakness is a lack of any true shot blocker. They miss that so much from last season. Give me those three guys to block shots combined with a healthy team and you have a winner. Minnesota scores the 2nd most points of any nba team yet they struggle to win. Go get some shot blockers.

Great games by many of our guys. Especially Ginobli and Dragic. Manu like Dirk just continues to play at a high level. He is such a great player.
Speaking of Dirk Nowitzki. He is very close to 26000 points for his career now. The guy is amazing. I've said it many times. If he can hit 30,000 career points, he will be one of the greatest scorers ever. His ability to still put the ball in the basket both inside and outside is amazing. The guy just gets it done. I used to watch Tom Chambers and it was hard to see him struggle as he got older. It was the same with Larry Bird. I keep waiting to see it happen to Dirk but he is still strong. He is an all star. His performances night after night leave me in awe. Long live King Dirk Nowitzki!

Yes WL, he's already scored 852 points in 40 games. With another 808 points and 42 games left, he can avg. 19.2/game and pass Oscar Robertson for 10th all-time. Can't wait to see him get there and beyond, hopefully top 4 or 5!

Going into a light evening in the NBA, here are the leaders in scoring and rebounding. Minnesota at Utah 9 P.M.

Scoring....

4. Love, MN. 25.1
14. Nowitzki, DA. 21.1
17. Anderson, NO. 19.8
20. Dragic, PHX. 19.4
21. Lee, GS. 19.2
25. Pekovic, MN. 18.3
34. Parsons, HOU. 17.1
34. Hayward, UT. 17.1
40. Redick, LAC. 16.4
40. P. Gasol, LAL. 16.4

10 white players still in the top 40 in scoring with another 3 or 4 who should be there including M. Gasol and Hawes who are really underachieving in scoring right now. Orlando's Vucevic should be a bigger threat in the future!

Rebounding....

2. Love, MN. 13.0
8. Vucevic, OR. 11.0
10. Bogut, GS. 10.3
11. P. Gasol, LAL 10.0
13. Lee, GS. 9.9
16. Pekovic, MN. 9.2
21. Hawes, PHI. 8.9
22. Plumlee, PH. 8.7
22. Gortat, WA. 8.7
26. Valanciunas, TO. 8.5

10 in the top 26, however, there's a significant drop off after that into the 40's and 50's somewhat due to injury, but we need Koufos, M. Gasol, Kanter, etc. to step up down the stretch.

Still 20 players in the top 66 in scoring and rebounding! That's 30%! Wow! Just think if they would actually let white players be on a fair court! We would be at; at least 50% or more!

Hopefully, some of these college players JC and JL and the other CFers updating the college thread will continue the breakthrough
of white players making an impact in the NBA!

I love the White WR Revolution thread, but how about the White NBA Revolution!

T-wolves with a win tonight against the Jazz. Admittedly, not a good team, but they need every win they can get. What was most impressive was the balanced scoring, with all 5 starters in double figures. This is what MIN needs instead of great games by Kevin Love only to lose each time. Solid game by Gordon Hayward, he's now at 17ppg.

One comment on the All-Star game, I feel like we have 4 legit All-Stars (Love, Nowitzki, Lee, and Dragic), plus borderline in Chandler Parsons. I'm afraid Lee and Parsons will become victims of a loaded West with many great front-court players and barely miss out. I think they only pick 7. And Dragic will most likely get screwed in the backcourt selections.

I was glad to see Minnesota win again too. That is two wins in a row. They are off till Friday. They need to get a long winning streak to get back into the playoff race. Great to see Gordon Hayward back and he didn't look rusty at all. This kid is going to be another all star for the Jazz in the next few years.

The Suns are in the playoff race as of right now. They have some more good news. Alex Len who they drafted number 5 in the first round is finally healthy. He has played 7 consecutive games now and has no pain finally in either of his ankles. He is only 20 but he has both ankles operated on in the off season. It's been an up and down rookie year as he hasn't been able to practice and he has rarely played due to injuries. Well he finally has a clean bill of health. Expect this guy to start putting up some solid numbers as he gets more comfortable with the offense. He has such a huge wing span and he is very athletic being a former gymnast. Another guy to keep a close eye on over the next several years. He could become another Kirelenko type once he develops.

With 5 minutes to go in the Twolves vs Warriors game, Pek and Love both have over 20 points and David Lee has 23. The game is tied at 107 a piece. What a game. Rooting for Minnesota to pull this one out on the road.

Yes they did it! Finally Minnesota wins a close game on the road by 1 point! Amazing game. Kevin Love had 26 points and 14 rebounds. Kevin Martin hit the game winner. Almost every player on both teams shot the ball great. What a high scoring game. This is the 3rd win in a row for Minnesota and it gets them back to 500 for the season. They have to play Portland and Chicago next so it only gets tougher from here but this win can do so much for their confidence. What a game. Bring on the Trailblazers tommorow night. Hoping for another epic win.

I was watching the hilites of Mirza Teletovic. Man can this kid play. he scored 34 points tonight with 24 coming in one quarter. He has the ability to create his own shot. Great to see some new guys from overseas coming in and putting on a show. Brooklyn has been of fire since the start of the year. They might be the hottest team in the nba. Anyways, I will have to watch this kid play a little more.

Watching the Twolves vs the Blazers. It's 10-10 early in the first quarter. This would be a huge win for Minnesota if they can pull it off. Portland is already won as many games this year as all of last season and they are extemley hard to beat let alone on their home floor. Minnesota is going for it's 4th win in a row and an opportunity to finally get above 500 for the first time in months. Gonna be a dog fight.

I was watching some of the Phoenix game. Dragic scored 15 points in 14 minutes. He is taking after Jimmer. A point a minute. Good to see the Suns really lighting it up. They are a fun team to watch with 2 starters and 1 guy off the bench.

Minnesota is playing. I'm not going to say anything except wish them good luck. I feel like I'm jinxing them from rooting for them so hard. Lol.

Great to have you back carolina speed. I agree Plumlee is really exceeding expecatations. Indiana let him go and Phoenix is most likely going to the playoffs because of the trade. Plumlee is such a high flyer. He has to be one of the most athletic big men in the nba. He should get into the Nba slam dunk contest. He could win it. The kid as Dick Vitale says is a high riser. He athletecism is amazing!

Timberwolves won, they're now back to .500.

Goran Dragic 24/4/7
Miles Plumlee 14/13
Spencer Hawes 18/9
Jonas Valanciunas 20/13
Greivis Vasquez 12 points
Kevin Love 31/8
Chase Budinger 12/4
Mike Dunleavy 10 points
J.J Redick 14 points
Ersan Ilyasova 16/8
Kyle Krover 14 points
Gordan Hayward 12/6/6
Enes Kanter 16 points

It should be noted that Jimmer actually got some decent playing time, a little over 19 minutes. It'd be great if he could average 20+ for a team other than the Kings.

I looked at the WC standings, and wow, it is stacked for sure. Unless one or more of the teams currently on the top 8 suffer a meltdown in the next 2 months, it'll be awfully difficult for MIN to get in. I don't think 48 wins will do it, 50 might be needed for that 7th/8th spot.

Of course the T-Wolves have no one but themselves to blame for losing all those close games and digging themselves into an early hole. Otherwise, they'd be sitting comfortably in the 6-8th position. It's not over though, but the time to make a run is now. At 22-22, there's no reason they can't go 27-11 or 28-10 the rest of the way, provided they don't lose anymore of these close games.
