Getting back on track. Goran Dragic and the Suns are killing the Pacers. The game is at the half and Goran "the dragon" Dragic has 21 points and 4 assist at halftime. Wow is this kid great!

Trivia for the board. Other than Nash and now Dragic, when was the last time a white nba point guard averaged over 20 points per game for a season?

This sucks. They left Dragic and Pekovic among others off the all star team. What a slap in the face. The Suns would be nothing without the kid. He deserves better. We here at this board know both of these guys are as good as any of the guys playing in the game and they should be there.

Pete Maravich averaged over 20 points per game 8 times including the last time during the 78/79 season where he averaged 22.6.

He led the league in scoring during the 76/77 season with 31.1/game.

He is the greatest creative scorer of all-time!

Mark Price was close. He averaged 19.6 in 89/90.

I'm liking all this vintage Suns talk. Back when I was a huge NBA fan in the 90s, Thunder Dan was one of my favorite players. When it came to shooting 3s, he literally had no range, he could launch it from anywhere. Had excellent leaping ability and defensive skills to complement the rest of his game.

Back to the present, I think Dragic will get in because Kobe is out, so they'll need another guard. Lee was snubbed clearly, but as I said in an earlier post, the West is loaded with quality front court players, so someone was going to lose out. Same with Parsons and Pekovic. These guys easily get in if they're playing in the sorry East.

I think Goran Dragic is my new favorite player. I wish Rubio would start playing like this kid.

All of us are loving what Goran Dragic is doing, but he is no kid by NBA standards. He'll be 28 in October and has been in the league 6 years. He didn't start averaging in double figures until he was 25 and is avg. 4.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds for his career. This, his 6th year has seen him really break out at 19.9 points and 6.1 assists.

I know it's easy to get impatient with Rubio. He is still just 23 and despite a sub-par season offense wise, he is avg. 10 points/game, 7.8 assists, 4.2 rebs., and 2.4 steals over his career.

Rubio leads the league in steals at 2.6/game and dishing out over 8 assists/game, to go along with 4.6 rebounds/game, second among all point guards!

I may be making excuses for Rubio, but I'm still willing to give him a couple more years. It seems the only thing lacking in his game is scoring. He only needs to bump that about 5/6 points a game and he'd be fine.
It seems easy enough Ricky, now go get it done!

I hear ya. I think with Dragic a huge part of it was just getting the playing time.

And I wouldn't be sweating Rubio if the 'Wolves were winning more games. That's the real problem!

What's even more impressive about the Suns is that they played 4 games in 5 nights and they kicked Indianas butt twice. Indy had the best record in the whole league and Phx blew them out twice. Dragic is too good to be denied. Similar to Nash, he is more of a late bloomer. He just needed a team to believe in him. He may be 28 but I can see him playing at this level for at least another 4-5 years. He had a two hand dunk on a fast break last night running at top speed and it did it so easily. Great athlete and a fine basketbal player.

I'm excited to see some more people posting. It's hard with the nba but it's whiter than it's been in a long time. Maybe slowly we are
making a little progress. I would love to see more teams have the courage to do what Minnesota is doing Even having more teams with two starters like Golden State, Phoenix, Houston and others.

So tonight is another huge game for Minnesota. They are a game above 500. They need to get some separation. NO GOING BACK TO MEDIOCRITY! They have to be a better than average team. That starts but winning again tonight. Winning is contagious. It's an attitude and a swagger. It's confidence knowing you can win the close games. Feed it to Love early and often. They also need to get some other guys to step it up. Gonna be another tough game but they are at home. Come on guys. Get it done. WE need the win. Go Twolves!!

Bucks are horrible this year. Good news is Wolters has been playing very good ball. He had 8pts 9assists and 5 boards. His weaknesses are defense and free throw shooting. Still waiting for him to take his offensive game to next level. But his performance tonight impressed me. He didn't commit any turnovers!

Wolters has alot of potential. He should be in the league for a long time.

The Twolves are winning by 1 point at the end of the 3rd quarter against the Grizzlies. They battled back from a 15 point deficit thanks
to Kevin Loves 24 points and 11 rebounds. One quarter to go. Come on Minnesota.

Thanks for the report on Wolters cdb15. Ilyasova plays well at times also, had 27 points the other evening.

Wow, after being down 50-37 at the half the T'Wolves have stormed back to take a 67-66 lead over Memphis after 3 quarters.

Love had only 6 points in the first half, scored 18 in the third, 24/12/2 after 3. Despite being 2 for 7 from the floor, Rubio is playing great. He has 6 points, 8 assists, and 3 boards, and a steal. All he need s to do is shoot better to be a great PG. I sure hope he improves that part of his game!

You know it buddy. It would be fun if we could all watch the games at a sports bar someday. Maybe someday a trip to vegas. Haha.

Dirk is really taking his game up to another level this last month. The guy looks young. It's hard to believe he is that old. Keep it up Dirk.

Come on Wolves. Bring it home. Feed Love often. Then repeat until you get the win! I'm proud of the fight in this team. Especially with
one of their two best players out hurt!

I'm up for that along with as many CF brothers as possible. Would love to see it happen one day!

We will make it happen someday. Summer time in vegas either this year or next. Fall would be great too with football & basketball. Watching a few games at a sportsbook and making some money of our teams. Haha.

Well the Friday Night Jinx cursed the Twolves again. They can't win on Friday Nights. I swear it's been around 5 of the last 6 Fridays they have lost. All games that they could and should win. This one hurts. With Pek they win this game easily but they let it get away. Damn it.

Yeah, Barea came in a provided a spark off the Bench, but I couldn't understand Rubio sitting the entire 4th quarter. He was playing really well. Another big night for the MVP, Love, 28/16/2! I think they have Atlanta tomorrow night, Hoping they get back above .500. We need Denver to lose again tonight.

Dirk 25 with 9:50 left. Mavs losing to the Kings 87-82.

David Lee not starting tonight for the Warriors. Not sure why. Anyone know? I know he was snubbed out of the All-Star game, that stinks!

Nowitzki, 30/4/2, with 3 minutes left. Mavs winning 98-94.

IF that ever were to happen, and IF I were able to go, fair warning: I'm probably going drink too much, and make fun of DWFs to the point of being a little bit obnoxious. I hope y'all have my back. LOL

But seriously, I almost can't imagine how much fun that would be. If I win the lottery ..... it's happening!

We gotcha Awake in America! I'm holding you to that lottery play. You'd better let us know!

Looks like Dirk will follow-up his 38 point 17 board performance, with 34/5/2 tonight and a Dallas win!

WL, I'm starting to come around a little at a time with Nowitzki. If he keeps this up for another 4-5 years, who knows, Look out Mr. Jordan for 3rd on the scoring list!!!!

Long live King Dirk Nowitzki. I told you he found the fountain of youth or something. The man can flat our play ball. He is amazing and has not lost any desire to play at the highest level even after all of these years. Incredible back to back games for the Dirkmeister. (Must be the Becks Beer)to have me making up more nicknames. Haha.

Denver looks like they are gonna lose. Big sigh of relief for Minnesota. Fredette needs to be freed. Let the man out of Suckramento! Lol.:becky:

Minnesota is up by 6 at the half on the road in Atlanta. Kevin Love as usual has been superb with 15 points and 12 boards so far! Hopefully they can finish it tonight and get back to their winning ways.

After 3, they got down by 11, but now are within 5, with Shved scoring 8 points. Yes, Love is having another fine game with 22/16. He's already played 31 minutes and is out of the game. Don't know if they can come all the way back without him.

Kyle Korver having a good game with 19 points and extending his consecutive streak of hitting at least 1 3 pointer to around 112 straight games!
