Harbaugh looks to be wanting to prove himself to the PTB now that he's in the NFL and with the program.
Here's the blurb about Jones:
The 49ers drafted sixth-round S Colin Jones with the idea that he'd be a special teams standout.
"There's a guy that I cannot wait to watch run down on a kickoff, full throttle, running his 4.3," coach Jim Harbaugh said. The 49ers now have seven safeties on the roster, so Jones will have to open some eyes in camp to stick.
LB Alex Wujciak, Maryland
The buzz: He started for three years for the Terps and always seemed to be around the ball, finishing his career with 381 tackles. He had four career interceptions, returning two for touchdowns, and nine pass breakups to go with 17 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and a blocked kick. His lack of athleticism was a problem for NFL scouts.
Man, that line-backing unit would be a heck of a good one. Bellore, Herzlich, Lutrus and Wujciak all seem to lack athleticism (read black skin) according to Rivals. What a surprise. These guys will have a tough path ahead going the UDFA route. We'll be fortunate if even 1 of them makes it and has a successful career and that is a shame.JReb1 said:Here's a look at what would be a pretty solid starting 24 made up of guys who were not drafted.http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1217518
The Fridge and Guy Mcintyre(he played guard). Obviously both were more gimmick fullbacks. Also I think Warren Sapp lined up as fullback for some gadget plays in Tampa near the end of his run there. His agility also reminded me of Eric Peterman who was screwed, he didn't have the hands of Maehl, he was more of a body catcher, but there are tons of receivers in the NFL with worse. Cobb who we were just talking about in the Jordy thread, is 188 pounds at 5'11
The UFL is looking to snatch up some of these undrafted players with the lockout, the draft is tonight. I wouldn't blame them if they went and played, the season would be over in October. We don't even know if there will NFL games by October. So I say, go get the experience and they still have the same chance of getting a real chance in the NFL once the season is done.

I respect your views, and appreciate the work you put into your posts. However, as a dreaded "conspiracy theorist," I don't believe that 30% figure is coincidental. The law of averages would dictate that a team or two, over the past twenty years, would have strayed into the forbidden zone of 30 or more whites on their roster.
But then again, I tend to see most everything as a conspiracy.
