Danny Woodhead is an athletic football player and excellent RB. He's probably better than many, if not most of the black RB's in the black NFL. But, he's a talented white RB in a very black league. He has to go. I just hope UFL is smart enough to play him.

Comparing how Woodhead would perform, I think he's like a smaller Felix Jones. Heck he might even perform like a smaller DeAngelo Williams if given a chance- he's that good!

Caste Football Looks at the 2010 New York Jets

The Jets are notable mainly in that at times they start two White safeties -- an embarrassing throwback situation necessitated by the failure of FS Brodney Pool to stay healthy. Otherwise they are a typical Ryan-coached team, heavy on the pepper, light on the salt.

To be fair, Rex Ryan isn't the all-out Caste zealot his daddy Buddy was. Buddy was fielding teams with 20 black starters back in the early '90s when he coached the Arizona Cardinals, the blackest team ever at the time. Those teams stunk and that was Buddy's last head coaching job. But now his legacy lives on in the form of his reputed "charismatic" son.

The Jets have 5 White starters and 15 altogether on their 53 man roster. The starting number was increased by one when Kris Jenkins was lost for the season (again) in the opener against Baltimore, meaning that for now at least, Matt Kroul becomes that extreme rarity for the Caste NFL -- a starting White nose tackle.

In the Jets' 3-4 defense, fourth year man Mike Devito out of Maine plays quite a bit at right end. Like every other White d-end in the league -- just about every White defensive player for that matter -- Devito is consistent and productive when he plays. The banishment of Whites down to not much more than 10 percent of defensive starting jobs is just as outrageous as their total elimination from the running back position. White defensive players are just as athletic as their black counterparts, and are headier -- better at understanding defensive schemes and offensive formations and thus better at being in position to make plays. But the NFL lives by the motto, "Once something goes black, it never goes back."

Starting strong safety Jim Leonhard gets better every season. He underwent the "junkyard dog" treatment so many White non-quarterbacks have to go through -- undrafted despite a record setting college career at Wisconsin, waived and moved around before finally getting a chance with Baltimore and unexpectedly "overachieving." Now Leonhard's one of the better safeties in the league. But even with that background, Leonhard at least eventually got an opportunity, something few other capable White safeties can say.

Eric Smith is the on-again off-again starter at free safety. The hard hitter from Michigan State is now in his fifth NFL season.

On offense the pickings are sparse. Quarterback Mark Sanchez is of Mexican descent, but looks to be primarily of European background, as are many "hispanics," who are often referred to as a distinct race when in reality they are usually a mixture of North American Indian and European background, ranging from entirely Indian to entirely White. Argentina, for example, has a far higher White population than the United States. There is also Negro admixture among "hispanics," but it is rare in many Central and South American countries. Sanchez is in his second year as a starter, but the Jets offense looked anemic at best in the 2010 preseason and regular season opener.

The ageless Mark Brunell backs up Sanchez, along with Kellen Clemens. Clemens, New York's second round draft pick in 2006 out of Oregon, might be good enough to be a starter for the Jets or another team, but other than several games on a lousy '07 Jets team, hasn't received enough of an opportunity.

Center Nick Mangold, a first round pick out of Ohio State, is perhaps the best at his position in the league, a rock on the line. Second year man Matt Slauson is starting at left guard.

C Robert Turner is the only backup White lineman.

Ben Hartsock is the second string tight end. He is more of a blocker than a receiver. Matt Mulligan (like Diveto also from Maine) is the third stringer.

No longer on the team is RB Danny Woodhead, the record-setting tailback from Chadron State (the same school Don Beebe attended). At 5-8 and 190 pounds, Woodhead is on the small size for a running back, but there are plenty of black RBs the same size and smaller who are given opportunities in the NFL. Woodhead has great speed and elusiveness, and can receive and block well. But in two seasons with the Jets, Woodhead had just 11 rushes and 8 receptions, and was continually waived and moved to and from the practice squad, culminating in him being cut yet again after the first game of the 2010 regular season, even though Shonn Greene had struggled mightily, Ladainian Tomlinson is at the very end of his career, and 2010 draft pick Joe McKnight was about as lousy as one can imagine.

When I read that Woodhead was cut, seemingly inexplicably, my take on the Jets' reasoning was as follows. Shonn Greene is clearly struggling big time in the role given to him. Tomlinson, though looking pretty decent in the pre-season, is clearly near the end and could run out of gas completely as the season wears on. McKnight has been a big-time bust, though he will be given at least three more years to "get it." The Jets were looking at a potential situation where Woodhead would be the obvious choice to be given a much expanded role out of necessity, thus he was cut before that embarrassing situation had a chance to manifest itself. The NFL hasn't had a White scatback getting significant carries since. . . when, the 1960s or '70s?

Many DWFs will read my analysis and think it's absurd, but it only shows how utterly blind they are to the locker room racial dynamics the league has inculcated and rewarded over an extended period of time. When not a single White man is allowed to be a featured runner for decades on end, how much more obvious can the institutionalized discrimination be? Especially when players like Justin Fargas, Robert Smith, and Nick Goings -- who are overwhelmingly White but considered "black" in the U.S. -- are used as starting tailbacks? How do they explain that the NFL had White stars at every position for 30 years after it initially integrated but for 25 years and counting Whites have been shut out at certain positions? They can't, because they don't know how to think for themselves and have nothing but contempt for those that challenge the reigning orthodoxy. But alas, this has always been human nature and it applies to everything, not just sports.

13 of Ryan's 17 assistant coaches are White.

"The NFL hasn't had a white scatback getting significant carries since...when, the 1960s or 70s?"

Off the top of my head, I would say Dickie Post, who was with San Diego from 1967-70. Post was listed at 5-9, 190. He led the AFL in rushing in 1969, but his knees soon gave out. The NFL Network rated Dickie Post ( you can find it on youtube) the #9 elusive RB of all time.

Aside from a scattered few practice squad call ups Dino Hall might be the last guy besides Woodhead to get any significant amount of games played in the NFL. Hall was a similar height to Woodhead but was much slimmer at about 165 pounds. He was a utility back for the Browns in the early 80's. Edited by: white is right

Hall only had 27 career rushes and 11 receptions, barely more than Woodhead. That doesn't qualify as "significant carries."

Actually, around the time Dino Hall played (latter 70's/early 80's), there seemed to be a whole bunch of Italian scatbacks that played in the league for a brief time. There was Dick Vermeil's nephew, Louie Giamona, who I think led the nation in rushing his senior year in college in the mid-70's (Utah State?). It didn't matter that Louie's uncle was a pro coach, as he was still relegated to the unfair status of white special teams teams mascot. We all know Dickie V. is a bit of a Caste whore. He's not as bad as some, but I'm sure RB and WR were off limits to him as far as white starters were concerned. Heck, as good as Ricky Proehl was for him, he could never elevate above #3 WR, being scrubs like Eddie Kennison, ect.

I don't rememberLouie in college, but I know Alex Smith of Indiana told SI in 1995 he knew Louie was the last white to lead the NCAA in rushing and he wanted to end the 20-something year drought. Not sure if Smith, who left school early and was treated far worse than Woodhead, met that goal, but he had a monster junior year, before he made his ill-fated early leap to the NFL.

Other scatbacks with Italian names were Nick Giaquinto, Tommy Vigirito and Rich Diana, who made a run at the Heisman Trophy from a Ivy League school -- something actor Ed Marinaro also did in the early 1970's. Matter of fact, Dino Hall sounds sort of Italian?

Dickie Post led the AFL in rushing in 1969, the AFL's last year before the merger. This would qualify as significant.

Braylon Edwards arrested for DUI. But of course, he'll be fine, and allowed to start. Unlike that "criminal" Matt Jones who has been drummed out of the league for drinking a beer on a golf course.......

<DIV class=art_img_sm_txt>Trouble-prone Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards was busted for drunken driving Tuesday morning near the Lincoln Tunnel with a blood alcohol reading of twice the legal limit, police said.

Edwards, 27, was stopped while driving erratically in a Range Rover with heavily tinted windows at 34th St. and 12th Ave. at 5:13 a.m., according to cops.

Edwards, who was riding with two men and a woman in his vehicle, blew .16 on a Breathalyzer test of blood-alcohol content, police sources said. The legal limit is .08.

"There appeared to be excessively tinted windows," said Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne. "They approached, they could smell alcohol."

Cops said the bearded receiver was cooperative after his arrest by members of the Surface Transportation Enforcement Division. He was awaiting arraignment in Manhattan Tuesday afternoon.

Edwards, according to one source, told the officers that "he was fine and had two drinks or so."

Edwards could face a maximum fine of $50,000 from the NFL if convicted of a DWI.

One of his Jets teammates said he was "not surprised" by the arrest, while others said it showed Edwards' lack of regard for the team.

The one-time Pro Bowler began Monday evening at a Manhattan charity event hosted by fellow Jets receiver Jericho Cotchery.

He was photographed playing poker at the fundraiser with two drinks in front of him at Hudson Terrace, an exclusive rooftop venue on W. 46th St.

Cotchery, speaking Tuesday on his regular WFAN-AM spot, said his event was finished by 9:30 p.m. - nearly eight hours before Edwards' arrest.

"It's important for us to support him as teammates," Cotchery said, adding that he planned to contact Edwards later Tuesday.

Edwards was traded from the Cleveland Browns to the Jets last year, just two days after he was accused of punching a friend of NBA star LeBron James outside a Cleveland nightclub.

Edwards pleaded to aggravated disorderly conduct in return for probation, a suspended jail term and a $1,000 fine. James dismissed Edwards' attack as "childish."

While with the Browns, Edwards wore out his welcome by criticizing the team's play-calling and arguing with teammates.

Edwards, who caught a touchdown in the Jets' win Sunday over the New England Patriots, was flagged for taunting after the score - a mistake that kept Coach Rex Ryan from giving him a game ball.

"We are very disappointed in Braylon's actions this morning," said a statement from Jets general manager general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

"The Player Protect program is in place for our organization to prevent this situation. Braylon is aware of this program and showed poor judgment."

The Player Protect program provides car service to players who are out partying.

The statement continued, "We are reviewing the information with the league and will impose the appropriate disciplinary measures."

In a recent blog post at GQ.com, Edwards wrote, "You can easily get caught up doing too much 'New York' - but you've got to manage it, understand your reason for being here."

What's interesting about many of these poor slobs is when they start getting into messes, it escalates and they're not in control of things.
For example, Edwards got that taunting penalty in the game and unbelievably tried his dam*dest to get another one later in the game, but didn't succeed because of the timely intervention of a team mate.
Now this. They're not in control of these things it seems. Once the idiocy gets on a roll, it's hard to stop it.

Looks like D'brickashaw Ferguson and Vernon Gholston were with him

Two teammates were in vehicle with Braylon Edwards
Posted by Mike Florio on September 21, 2010 4:36 PM ET
It was reported earlier today that Jets receiver Braylon Edwards had a passenger in his car when arrested early this morning for DUI. As it turns out, he had two. As it also turns out, they play for the Jets.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson and defensive end Vernon Gholston were in the vehicle with Edwards.

It's unknown whether and to what extent they were intoxicated. In many cases, when the driver of a car is at 0.16 percent blood alcohol concentration, the other folks in the car who aren't driving are even more messed up.

I thought when you had a biblical beard it made you wise like King Solomon... I just heard Mortensen talk about the program the NFL has about situations where a player gets over the limit at a bar/tavern. The club will call a cab service/car pickup service for the player and the club picks up the tab. How dumb do you have to be, to get popped for a DUI?

Years ago I was in a situation like this. I went to a tavern with buddies celebrating a guys birthday and I had about 3 to 4 drinks they both had about 6 to 7 drinks I even waited for a short bit at a 24 hour coffee shop and I'm certain I was over the limit I was lucky I was never popped for a DUI. I was even going to leave the car at the tavern and take public transportation home but my buddies were too lazy to take it home at 2am. So I got roped into driving home. Edited by: white is right

It's hilarious that the NFL has to have a "Player Protect" program offering a free limo service for its drunk affletes. And the players don't even use it. The same article went on to say that the Jets fronted half of Antonio Cromartie's million dollar salary so he could catch up on child support. Grown men millionaires with 5th grade intellect.

They really are 'tards. With the kind of money they make they shouldn't drive anywhere, hire a limo to take you everywhere, play video games or text your ho's while the driver shuttles you around. It's just that simple. But these guys are idiots. Let them get what they deserve.

In the face of some wild internet rumors, Mike Florio of
Profootballtalk.com shoots down the notion that Braylon Edwards will be
released.

<div ="s_pNewsTextMain"> Edwards is in the
doghouse, but he's not losing his job. The Jets are too afraid of the
NFLPA that they aren't even deactivating him for this week, let along
cutting him.

Where was the Players Association in supporting Matt Jones? Oh that's right, white players don't count.

Tell me about it Thrashen. Since I live in Jersey every time I watch the news and they do the sports this idiot is on tv. He has no problem spending half his paycheck on seasons tickets, beer, and overpriced food. Then he hops around like a lunatic during the games. From his last name you can tell he's Italian. What a sorry excuse for a human being.

I don't know what's worse, this idiot or the Hoggettes or whatever you call them.
