So, knowing that starting lineups fluctuate from week to week, you researched every game for every team in the 1990s and didn't find a single time in which a team started less than 4 Whites, is that what you're telling me?

I researched every single season. No I didn't research every single game. That would be ridiculous. Regardless there were four white starters a season unless white players were injured for several games.

<div>You also wrote here that you researched every team for each year of the '90s.</div>

I was referring to the Cowboys which we were discussing.

No, I made a statement that several teams in the 90s, contrary to your assertion, started less than 4 whites, including among others the Cowboys, Cardinals, and Steelers. You actually agreed at one point, writing, "During a majority of the 90's the Cowboys had at least four white starters but as you stated a few seasons did have three white starters."

Don't waste my time anymore on this.

Undrafted free agent Frank Zombo is now starting.

Even though Jones appeared to take most of the first-team reps in jogthroughs, McCarthy said Frank Zombo is the starter at ROLB right now. "It is something we have talked about here since I have arrived. You have to be available and you need to be accountable, and Brad is going through an injury situation right now. I'm not sure if he is healthy enough to play Sunday, so we're going to play the prepared players. We're going to play the experienced players. I felt as a staff, particularly the last two weeks, that we have been way too up-and-down during the course of the week of trying to prepare players based on their health situation, and waiting on a certain number of individuals to get healthy by the end of the week. So it is something that I actually addressed in the team meeting today, and I don't know if that is why you are asking the question, but it was addressed today, the ability to prepare and play the prepared player over going back and forth all week. Frank Zombo is the starting outside linebacker today."

Don beat me to it. I'm really excited about Zombo, he has great young mentor in Clay Matthews and having Kevin Greene has his LB coach leads me to believe Zombo will be a stud for a long time.

and AJ HAwk seems to be playing more after barely seeing the field in week 1!

Rogers made an idiotic statement after the Detroit game denigrating the power running game they used to beat Detroit. It seems he wants to use the spread which for a QB is understandable but he used the term "best players on the field" which means Hall and Kuhn ought to punch him in the face. As for Hawk playing he is getting time because Chillar is injured.

More bad news for the Packers: http://espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=11325

News: Updating earlier reports, Finley, who will have arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, will miss anywhere from 3-6 weeks, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.
Spin: The news here -- and it's direct from the paper's Green Bay beat writer -- is that Finley could miss longer than the three weeks initially reported. With Donald Lee also hurting, Andrew Quarless figures to see an expanded role in the team's offense and could be an interesting sleeper in the coming weeks.

He had a very good chance of having a 1,000 yard season. I'm thinking.. Chase Coffman was considerably more productive in the Big 12 than Finley, what could he do with Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball?

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Packers are pessimistic about Clay Matthews' (hamstring) status for Week 6.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
Coach Mike McCarthy thus far has only said that Matthews has not yet
been ruled out, while the Green Bay Press-Gazette's Rob Demovsky is on
record as predicting Matthews will miss 1-2 weeks. Check back for
updates on Matthews' status. Obviously it would be a big loss for a
Packers and a major gain for the Dolphins if the NFL's sacks leader is
unable to suit up.

I was hoping Clay would have a shot at the single season sack record but missing any amount of games puts a huge dent in that opportunity.

Finley's injury could mean more playing time for Miami (OH) TE Tom Crabtree, as he will become the backup to Donald Lee.

Crabtree played a lot during the pre-season (he was the heavily tattooed guy). He was only an average player in college, so it's surprising that he made an NFL roster while more dominant white TE's did not.

when we will see Brett Swain as more than a White Special Teams Demon?

he dominated when given playing time during the preseason, yet apparently he's not even an afterthought ... and don't get me started on Jordy's lack of involvement in the offense. *puke*

Rotoworld gives credit to Clay Matthews.

Packers OLB Clay Matthews (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Week 6.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
Matthews will be worked out before Sunday's matchup with Miami, but the
Packers are pessimistic about his chances of playing. Green Bay's
defense went in the tank after Matthews' third-quarter hamstring injury
in Week 5. The Packers forced the Skins to punt on 7-of-8 possessions
prior to Matthews' absence. Washington went on a 13-0 run to win the
game afterwards.

Matthews picked up a sack yesterday and still leads the NFL in sacks with 9.5. Umenyiora is next with 8 sacks. It would be nice if Matthews can hold on to his lead in the sack department until the season ends. He still has a shot at the single season sack record which would be 22.5.

The two whitest teams in the NFL are having excellent seasons. May they meet in the Super Bowl.

From rotoworld, this is rich:

Packers WR James Jones is begging for more consistent opportunities in the Packers' passing game going forward.
Even better, he went third person on us. "James Jones could play better, yes," Jones said. "But James Jones believes to be up, you need opportunities. I can't throw the ball to myself. I can't do that." If James Jones would stop dropping easy passes, Aaron Rodgers would target him more consistently. With Donald Driver (quad) out this week, he should get his wish.

Another 365lb sumo yet no in shape white defensive tackles are capable of playing. They may as well bring back sumos who have been retired for 10 years already.

Packers started 11 whites last night. This is the first time since I've been aware of the caste racism in the NFL (around 2005) that I have seen an NFL team with a half white starting lineup.

Not to mention a white tailback and starting receiver.

Technically, James Jones was the other starter at receiver along with Jennings. Nelson was the third receiver but was on the field almost every play. Jackson is also the technical starter at tailback.

It was obvious again last night that both Jones and Nelson have surpassed Donald "Hands of Stone" Driver and the Packers should diplomatically demote Driver when he's healthy as they have a better offense without him.
