I counted 18 white's... 34 black...1 poly on the final 53 man roster.

While the offense may be one of the white friendliest starting 6 (not including Collie & Gonzales))...the defense offsets this...latest depth chart "starters" once again is coal-black. OnlyDT-Mitch King & Pat Angerer(3rd on depth chart for some reason?)are listed as back-up's who made the team;both happen to have played at Iowa...hmm. It's a shame Silva was injured.

The Colts only kept 4 WR's?? Blair White should be #5...what's up with that?? Is it not ok to have more white WR's on your roster than black?? Apparently not...

I thought Giguerre would make the team and Blair White as well. I guess keeping four white receivers on the roster would have brought up the same reaction from the media and fans that Bird had to deal with on the half white Indiana Pacers.

Its good to hear Mitch King did make the team. I hope he can make an impact this year.

Anthony Gonzalez suggested Monday that he hasn't been given a fair shot to earn his starting job back.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
Gonzalez was passed over last season by Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie
while he dealt with a knee injury. He admits that he has "no idea" what
his role in the offense will be. It's looking like No. 4 receiver and
punt returner, which obviously severely limits his fantasy prospects.

I totally agree with Gonzalez that he hasn't been given a fair chance to earn the starting spot back.

I am shocked? Not in the least. The sooner white players know they are treated unfairly more than not, and speak up about the injustices, the sooner they will stop being door mats and the sooner this caste nightmare will be over.

Glad to see the Colts dump Tony Ugoh, who was oohed and ahhed over by the media from the moment he was drafted even though he was clearly the weak link on the line, just like the "revered" sumo he replaced, Tarik Glenn, who was always moving before the snap andwas often beaten. But Weenieworld of course has to get some digs in at the Colts' White-dominated line, even though annually it is among the best in the league. See, Peyton Manning doesn't just make the line better, he makes it "far, far better than it really is."

Colts waived/injured LG Tony Ugoh. He's out for the year with what's believed to either be a dislocated or fractured toe. It's yet another blow to Peyton Manning's offensive line, which is in shambles with C Jeff Saturday coming back from knee surgery, ineffective RG Kyle DeVan still starting, and LT Charlie Johnson (foot) on the mend. Luckily, Manning annually makes Indy's line look far, far better than it really is.Edited by: Don Wassall

Colts waive former second-rounder Tony Ugoh

Posted on: September 8, 2010 6:27 pm
Edited on: September 8, 2010 6:35 pm

No need to worry about whether Tony Ugoh will be healthy enough to start in place of injured left tackle Charlie Johnson this Sunday. The Colts have waived the 2007 second-round pick, according to ESPN's Paul Kuharsky.

This marks a rare whiff on a high draft choice for Colts president Bill Polian. After Tarik Glenn suddenly retired in 2007, Polian traded his '08 first-round pick to move up and select Ugoh early in the second round. Ugoh started immediately and flashed positive signs at left tackle. However, he never responded well to injuries, which was a problem because the injury bug bit him on more than one occasion.

Ugoh lost his starting job last season. This past offseason, the Colts hoped to convert him to guard. However, injuries again limited his development.

Polian will take some criticism for this pick, but you could argue that it's literally the only high-round selection the football sage has botched since taking over the Colts in 1998.

With Ugoh gone, utility backup Charlie Johnson remains the starting left tackle. If Johnson isn't healthy, undrafted rookie Jeff Linkenbach will get the nod.

Defense preview: No looking back for defense

With a speedy defense that swarms to the football, the Indianapolis Colts' phrase of choice is "flying around." That might be particularly appropriate this season, considering that middle linebacker Gary Brackett says "the sky's the limit."

Eleven starters and most key reserves return. Safety Bob Sanders is back in full health. There's the sense the Colts defense that opens the season Sunday at Houston could be as deep and talented as any in recent memory.

Pierre Garcon is one of the worst WRs I've ever seen. The only reason he gets his meagher production is because he is targeted relentlessly. Manning continues to throw to him more often than even Wayne. He drops passes and simply doesn't catch many of the other throws. In a fair world, he would be very lucky to be the seldom-used 4th WR on the team.

Austin Collie, on the other hand, has the potential to be one of the very best receivers in the league. He produces more, with fewer opportunities, than any other WR I can think of. Sooner or later, they have to acknowledge reality and promote him to full time starter.

haha even rotoworld takes a crack at Sanders:

Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com passes along unconfirmed rumors that Bob Sanders elbow injury may be season ending.

This guy is Mr. Glass. Sanders missed 24 games over the previous two season due to injury and has only played in 14 games or more twice in his six-year career. Melvin Bullitt, who was filled in for Sanders last year, will step in at strong safety.

Bob Sanders is already hurt.

Apparently, Bob Sanders may need season ending surgery (again) for his injured elbow. At least the never-ending exaltation of this permanently injured midget could be mercifully prolonged for another year (again). His "big comeback"Â￾ ended in the 1st quarter of the 1st game.
Sanders may have just eclipsed former Bears safety Mike Brown for the "Most Injured Black Athlete"Â￾ world championship.

And yes, Austin Collie is a budding star. He plays like a faster, more athletic version of Larry Fitzgerald"¦although Fitzgerald may have even better hands than Collie.

<H2 =title property="dc:title">Monday Brunch: Pierre Garcon loses his way</H2>
By Scott Pianowski
"¢ Pierre Garcon(notes) didn't have a memorable opener, dropping 2-3 passes at Houston (depending on your grading) including one in the end zone. Meanwhile, Austin Collie(notes), Reggie Wayne(notes) and Dallas Clark(notes) combined for 28 catches. You don't lose a team's trust or a quarterback's trust from one bad game, but Peyton Manning(notes) was clearly steamed at Garcon on Sunday and made no attempt to hide it. The kid better get his Mojo back soon, because Manning isn't lacking for quality weapons.

Yeah Don...you &amp; I and several others posted nearly simultaneously Garcon's drops not to mention wrong route that was cut-off. It was easy to see Manning getting upset..yet he went his way several more times. Garcon could easily drop to #4 WR...

The Colts will have problems even making the playoffs if their coal-black defense does not step it up no matter how many weapons Manning has....

BTW Gonzales made a nice tight-rope grab on the side-lines that was called back saying outta bounds...it was close...but still a nice grab!

And why is Blair White not on the roster??? Is there an unwritten rule you are not allowed to have more white WR's(3) than black (2) on a roster?? I'm sure the affirmative action complaints would be rolling in!

So many team need capable WRs... Blair White is on the practice squad. Matt Jones and Kevin Curtis are home.
Mike Hass is where?

Attention NFL scouts and coaches: just because a WR is black, does not make him Jerry f'n Rice!
Do you idiots get this?

Most of your 'talented/athletic' blacks WRs SUCK!

Caste Football Looks at the 2010 Indianapolis Colts

Once again all of the Colts White starters are on the offensive side of the ball. The team is noted for its great offense and porous defense, but the demographics on defense always remain coal black. Even the White backups have been purged for this season except for newcomers Mitch King and Pat Angerer.

King was an unstoppable force at Iowa, but was not drafted by the NFL and was cut by Tennessee after they signed him as a free agent. King is 6-2 and 280 pounds and very athletic, but this does not fit the required NFL model for tackles of black only, morbidly obese non-athletes who can't penetrate but who "take up space." The Colts are one of the very few teams that don't load up on fatsos on either side of the ball, so maybe King will eventually be "allowed" to start, but we won't hold our breath waiting for that to happen.

Another Iowa graduate, LB Pat Angerer, was drafted in the second round in 2010. Angerer can play inside or outside but is probably best suited for the inside. In preseason games, Angerer stepped right in when incumbent MLB Gary Brackett was hurt and instantly performed better than Brackett, even making the defensive huddle calls. However, Brackett was signed to a long-term contract extension in the offseason, and is a "revered" fan favorite, which means he will have to be seriously injured, or his level of play drop so much that it is obvious to everyone, for Angerer to replace him. Indy's starting LOBL, Philip Wheeler, is awful, so Angerer may have a shot at playing there until the middle opens up for him. Angerer's a tackling machine in waiting, but the Colts have shown quite the aversion to starting White defensive players for the past decade or so.

The offensive side of the equation is about as good as it gets in the NFL from a demographic standpoint. QB Peyton Manning is an absolute master of his trade, and is well on the way to being the best quarterback ever, maybe the best football player ever, though for that to be acknowledged the Colts will need to win at least one more Super Bowl under his leadership. One thing for sure -- Manning will break all the career marks currently held by another Iron Man, Brett Favre, if he continues to stay healthy and hungry.

Manning is backed up by second year player Curtis Painter from Purdue. As his previous understudy, Jim Sorgi, can attest, backing up Peyton Manning is the easiest job in the NFL.

The Colts' offensive line is almost always one of the best, and again this season follows its time-honored formula of starting White men everywhere except left tackle, a position which, using that most peculiar NFL logic, is more and more deemed only capable of being manned by blacks. The anchor of the line remains C Jeff Saturday, who is almost as good at his job as Manning is at his. One of the reasons the Colts are so enjoyable to watch on offense is because the organization is smart enough to surround Manning with the kind of component parts he needs, and none is more important than the veteran Saturday. Tenth year man Ryan Diem is the starting right tackle; Kyle DeVan, in his second year out of Oregon State is the RG, and Jamey Richard, in his third season, is the LG.

Backup White o-linemen are tackle Jeff Linkenbach and center Mike Pollak, a second round draft pick out of Arizona State in '08.

Tight end Dallas Clark reached career highs in 2009 with 100 catches, 1,106 yards and 10 TDs, one of the very best seasons ever by a TE. Another positive of the Colts organization is that they use Clark as a receiving tight end and as a wideout, dispensing with the nonsense that White TEs must be great blockers in order to start. Clark, a former first round draft pick from Iowa, is 31, so enjoy him while he's still at his peak while you can.

Jacob Tamme, a very fast athlete from Kentucky, and rookie Brody Eldridge from Oklahoma, are two of the three backups behind Clark.

After the first regular season game of the 2010 season, it became obvious that second year WR Austin Collie is a far more polished and better receiver than Pierre Garcon, who remains a "project" with dubious hands and smarts. Collie had a terrific rookie season in '09 and also shone in the post-season. He is very capable of playing outside and not just in the slot, as his 73 yard catch and run TD in the season opener showed (yet again). Hopefully he'll replace Garcon as the second wideout.

Anthony Gonzalez, the former first round pick from Ohio State (and yes, he's one hundred percent of European heritage), was injured almost all of 2009 and was hurt again in the '10 opener. He had already been demoted to fourth on the depth chart, a demotion that he made his displeasure known about.

The Colts inexplicably kept just four wide receivers. The obvious fifth choice would have been Blair White, the free agent from Michigan State. White dominated the Big Ten his senior season, has hands of glue, big play ability, and 4.49 speed, and the future dentist is obviously no slouch in the brains department. In other words he has all the qualities NFL coaches dream about -- when a receiver is black that is. One such as Blair White finds himself undrafted and then put on the practice squad. But keep repeating, the NFL is colorblind, white and black football players are treated exactly the same, there's no agenda, there's no affirmative action when it comes to giving out scholarships and developing players. Keep repeating that, and keep living in a fantasy land. . .

NUMBER OF WHITE STARTERS: 6

NUMBER OF WHITE PLAYERS ON 53 MAN ROSTER: 18

I felt the Colts would keep Blair White because he was very talented. He first got snubbed by not getting drafted when he was originally expected to be a middle round pick. Then the Colts let him go.

I can't wait to see Collie continue to establish himself this year! Things have worked out good for him since he was drafted out of BYU, different then most white WR's.

Thanks, 22. I don't have the time to review all the teams anymore so it's nice to have others pitching in.

It's weird. I don't know Blair White, but last spring I was corresponding with someone who knows one of his representives -- he has the same agents as Big Ben, so they have some clout around the NFL. He signed with them because his friend at MSU, Javon Ringer, recommended they take on Blair.

Supposedly, about a month before the draft, one of his reps wasa little peeved that one of the ESPN guru's (Todd McGay) was ratingBlair too low -- 5th to 7th rounder, while the other (helmet head) had him pegged a bit higher (3rd round -- that made him happy). Turns out they were both wrong, as he went completely undrafted, which I'm sure is somethingWhite andhis agentsnever, everexpected. Ringer, by the way, was also a player that didn't go as high as he thought he would, but at least he was drafted and has been given a chance to play a lot behind Chris Johnson.

From what I was told, those close toWhite really did believe he was worthy of being picked fairly high, based on the fact that the Redskins used a 2nd rounder on a MSU WR that had virtually the same computer numbers -- size, weight, 40 time, vertical, ect a few years ago. Both turned heads in pre-draft workouts (check what Gil wrote about Blair last April), so why would anyoneeven think White could go undrafted?....Also, while both had similar workouts, that WR the Skins used a 2nd rounder on had only 6 career catches before his "breakout" junior year and reportedly had some off-field questions (academic issues?)that might've led him to leave school early. Contrast that to Blair, who had a great career and is reportedly a model student/citizen and it does seem very odd that he would not be selected at all. What makes this worse, is the guy on the Skins has largely been a bust, while White had some dominating pre-season games.

Back to his agents: If Big Ben wasn't so hated by the Rooney's and the DWF's in Pittsburgh, I wonder if he would have enough pull to get the Steelers to sign him off the Colts' Practice-squad? I'm sure Ben's agents would have asked him to try,if he was repected like Peyton Manning is Indy.Trent Edwards has the same agents and Buffalo would be a GREAT fit for Blair, but he's barely hanging on to his own starting spot, so I doubt Caste-whore Chan Gailey even cares about what he thinks.

**P.S: Just found his agent's client list....looks like they have a lot ex-California college players and a lot white WR's
