I pointed out to some boastful SEC DWFs that the SEC is also 0-2 against the ACC and 0-1 against C-USA. It stopped their bragging cold!

It looks like Edsall is going to coach Maryland. Perhaps Frey and Williams will get more playing time next year.

Looking forward to the Stanford/VT Orange Bowl tonight. Ran into a Stanford alum while vacationing here in South Florida. He said Stanford sold out their allotment of tickets. I know VT will have more fans in the stadium but that's a good sign. We both agreed that it is too bad that Gerhart couldn't have been back for this years team. When I told him I was a Stanford fan "due to the makeup of their team" and that I simply couldn't root for SEC teams, although I am from the South, he understood with little explanatory conversation.

I'm looking forward to this game too, northwinds. I hope Stanford destroys Blacksburg! I'd like to see Tyler Gaffney get some carries too! You know, Stanford has 3 other White RBs on their roster. Freshman Matt Walter (track champ in high school), and Sophomores Andrew Stutz and Michael Spanos. Besides Owen Marecic, their other two FBs are White, Freshman Lee Ward and Sophomore Geoff Meinken.

What the hell was that idiot afflete lineman thinking?! Bat the ball down! That's the first time I've ever seen a completion for negative yards to a lineman for a safety!

Danny Coale-burner hasbeen looking good alreadyfor VA Tech (2 short catches), although the "incredibly" accurate (sic) black quarterback missed him when he was running wide open down the sideline for a HUGE gain.

meanwhile, Stanford's elite athlete Owen Marecic has made big plays as both a fullback (with a couple of big blocks) and at linebacker (a sack on the supposedly un-sackable black quarterback). just imagine what this "blue collar" "gym rat," who starts on both sides of the ball for the #4-ranked team in the nation, could do if he had some talent.

the first big mistake of the game comes from an afflete for Stanford who fields a punt inside his own 5 yard line. i thought the blacks at Stanfordwere smart ... anyway, the poor field position ultimately results in a safety. ouch.

I think I saw a second white WR on the field for VA Tech. I looked at their depth chart, and I think it might be Austin Fuller. He's second on the depth chart for the Orange Bowl Game behind Boykin.

what a wild play by VA Tech's black quarterback! i thought he stepped out of bounds, but regardless it counts as a touchdown pass. he looked like a greased eel escaping from the Stanford pressure on that play.

this is shaping up to be an exciting ball game. go Stanford!

JC, your sentence about Marecic is hilarious!

It is also a great indictment of the insane caste system.

Virginia Tech should've gotten a PI on that. LB Skov just leveled WR Austin Fuller, and nothing.

Wow, VA Tech with a "Snow Plow". How very un-ACC-like.

Not to mention two white WRs, one of which starts, and one who gets playing time. Don't forget three white starters on defense, DE Drager, LB Tyler, and LB Gouveia-Winslow.Edited by: Jack Lambert

the two White linebackers for VA Tech are flying all over the field, especially Tyler (who, if i recall the lineups correctly, is just a freshman).

Stanford's all-afflete secondary is having a hard time covering Danny Coale-burner. he just drew a holding penalty, was interfered with on another play (by a linebacker -but it was missed by the officials), and was WIDE open down the sideline for a HUGE play but was missed by his qb. it's just a matter of time before he makes a big play tonight.

Was that the play where Skov smoked him? I think that was their other white WR, Austin Fuller.

The Goo Goo Dolls?
What, Candlebox wasn't available?

Let me go grab a Zima and my Doom II floppies and we'll do this thing right. Anybody want to play some Magic: The Gathering while we wait for the second half?

Geez.
