I'm a fan of the Ravens D. They seem to be pretty fair, for NFL standards, towards white guys.

Offensive lineman Marshall Yanda may be back in starting lineup now, as he was in last nights game. That would give Ravens six total white starters (counting only two on defense, though Bannan and Kruger are in the rotation as well).

Predictably, the latest issue of Sports Illustrated has an article on sumo O-lineman Michael Oher, since the sappy movie "Blindside", is based on his story. It's chock-full of praise for this guy, and although a decent lineman, was absolutely abysmal in the game against Pittsburgh last night, playing with heavy feet all night, completely unable to contain any kind of speed rush.

Kruger is playing only because Terrell Suggs is injured. He's been a healthy scratch most of the season. I'm hoping he replaces Trevor Pryce next season, but he may have to serve a longer racial apprenticeship, even as a second round draft pick.

Dawan Landry has done nothing to deserve this job, he misses tackles, coverages, and drops INTs.

Yes referendum, Collinsworthless said that Yanda had overtaken Chris Chester as the starter at RG.

Another one of the league's many sweethearts. Suggs was charged with aggravated assault while a "student" at Arizona State, but, as happens so oftenwith affletes, was later acquitted.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said the league would look into the restraining order recently filed against Terrell Suggs. In a complaint filed by his alleged fiancee, Suggs is accused of throwing a soap dispenser at her, hitting her in the chest, and pouring bleach over her and her young son. There will be a District Court hearing on the matter this Friday.

Suggs is also one of the ugliest black "male" affletes I've ever seen. He looks like an upright walking fruit bat with growths all over his pudgy face. Naturally, I'm sure every female of every race is in love with him....I can't figure out why ($$$)?

Perhaps Rasheed Wallace or Tyrone Hill from the NBA have him beat in the monster-look-alike department, haha.

I'd would've never guessed an afflete of Suggs' talent wasn't in top shape over the last few years. Another afflete who has a very dedicated work ethic, and certainly deserved to be overpaid like he is right now. Suggs should use all of that money and go get a face surgery.

From Rotoworld"
Terrell Suggs has rarely been in top shape over the last few years, according to the Carroll County Times.

Suggs signed a six-year, $62.5 million contract last July and showed up a few pounds overweight for training camp. He picked up just 4.5 sacks in 2009 while dealing with heel and knee injuries, but coach Jim Harbaugh defended Suggs's work ehtic and said he expects the talented pass rusher to be with the team for the entire offseason program.

This could be good news for Joe Flacco and the Raven's offense. Walter should keep killer Stallworth out of the lineup. Walter would also be on a contending team with a good white QB in Flacco.

From Rotoworld:
Ravens beat writer Jamison Hensley reiterates that there is "strong talk" linking free agent Kevin Walter to the Ravens as the open market approaches.

It's notable that both of the Ravens' top two reporters -- Hensley and Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times -- are picking up very positive vibes about Walter. Baltimore currently appears the clear-cut favorite to sign him.

Here's an article on how the Ravens have drafted one bust at wide receiver after another. Needless to say they've all been black except for Brandon Stokley, who's had a pretty good career, especially considering he was underutilized for most of it, and is still playing and contributing. Excerpt:

A review of the Ravens' draft history at wide receiver yields little more than a succession of what-ifs. Starting with Jermaine Lewis in their debut 1996 season, the Ravens have selected 15 wide receivers. Only one â€" Lewis, a fifth-round pick â€" went to the Pro Bowl, and he went twice as a return specialist, not as a receiver.

You have to wonder when the NFL owners will ever learn. Year after year after year they draft bust after bust after bust...after spending millions and millions of dollars. Obviously, they don't believe in or have ever heard of "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". Just more proof of the unstated affirmative action policy of the NFL.

This may not be the ideal thread to post this, but following up on the Ravens and their "bad luck" drafting black wide receivers, there's this article on how LSU "churns out" one NFL disappointment after another, again almost all of them black. In the case of white LSU players, Jacob Hester has not been given a chance at tailback, and Craig Steltz was immediately earmarked as White Special Teams Demon material. In other words, black LSU players are routinely ticketed for stardom by the scouts, while white LSU players are downgraded and misused.

Excerpt: LSU has produced 35 NFL draft picks since 2003, but there are more stories of failure than success. Of those 35 players, nine of whom were first-round picks, only one has been selected for a Pro Bowl: Indianapolis running back Joseph Addai's appearance as a reserve in 2007. The handful of successes are overshadowed by players such as Oakland's JaMarcus Russell and Dorsey â€" who have shown little evidence that, at least in their current situations, they'll live up to their draft-day hype.

The NFL's rabid affirmative action policies are the common thread in trying to understand why so many high draft choices underachieve. Full article: http://www.thenewstribune.com/2010/04/17/1152063/lsu-churns-out-nfl-players-but.html#ixzz0lQDKd8Xx

Don, in my opinion the only reason Russell was hyped up so much coming out of college is because he was the best black quarterback. That's not saying much as almost all black quarterbacks are busts. The league tries to keep some black quarterbacks and Russell was their guy that season. No one wants to constantly here the constant whining about the lack of black qb's so some are allowed to slip through the cracks.

Haloti Ngata has immense strength, and his arms/shoulders are huge, but his problem is all the bone-headed "personal fouls" he commits.

Ngata is big, but he looks well-proportioned. I can't really compare him to any Afro-American.

Most of the Afro-Americans are very fat like Terrence Cody, Andre Smiff, Glenn Dorsey, Trent Williams and the list goes on-and-on. There are fat Polynesians, of course, but Haloti Ngata doesn't look fat to me. I have no problem admitting that the Tongans can produce a few freaks like Ngata, but there aren't many of them.

Deadlift, I believe a Polynesian man held the max bench press world record for some time- although I believe he was finally overtaken by a white man recently. Whites have consistently been the top squatters of massive weights though. I would say that after Slavic and Nordic peoples, Polynesians are the world's next strongest people and maybe just as strong. You have to consider that the Polynesian population is much lower than the Caucasian one. From my experience Celtic peoples measure up to the aforementioned groups in leg strength, but lag behind slightly in upper body strength. Mongolians are also very strong, but tend to be smaller than the aforementioned groups. Notice all these peoples other than the Polynesians are from the North. I think scientifically- there is something to this (natural selection).Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

I don't remember seeing any Polynesian holding a bench press record. As far as now Scot Mendelson holds it.

It may have actually been a while ago. I'm 30 now- I recall I was told this by a friend senior year of H.S. My friend who was big into weightlifting had stated at the time that some Samoan guy broke the bench press record by a decent amount, but that he looked like he was on the juice. I think I remember checking about 10 years ago- in the early online days and some guy with a Somoan sounding name was listed with some bench record. I thought it was the max record, but I could be wrong.

And to correct a typo- all the other lands are in the north, but of course Polynesian islands are not.

Edited to add: I think some white guy with the last name Miller held the squat record- overtaking a guy with a Russian/Slavic name. There is a Youtube video of him squatting a ridiculous 1360 or 1380 (can't remember which) lbs. It was so heavy- the bar he used was bending!

Supposedly a typical chimpanzee can carry something 5 times it's weight a short distance, so this guy- he's bigger- might be as strong as a chimp. This Miller guy looked to be a 300 pounder.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

The Ravens (appropriate nickname for black birds) signed a bunch of UDFA's, but only a couple of token white guys. Mike McLaughlin, the outstanding MLB for Boston College is one of them. Of course, since the Ravens don't play white guys at LB, they are converting him to a FB!! No joke. The other is John Fletcher, DE out of Wyoming. Although UDFA's, especially white UDFA's are generally training camp fodder for the superior affletes to beat on, Fletcher has prototypical size for a 3-4 DE, with outstanding white man strength and excellent quickness. In a fair world, he would easily have been drafted fairly high, and have no trouble locking up a starting spot.

I mentioned that Mclaughlin will be playing fullback in one of my earlier posts. I don't think I can ever remember a black linebacker being switched to fullback.
