Yeah McLaughlin will be playing fullback and the same sh*t happened to Korey Hall who was one hell of a LB at Boise State.

Also, Ryan D'Imperio out of Rutgers will be the new backfield battering ram for the Vikings.

It looks like sumo Terrance Cody may take some playing time away from Kelly Gregg. From Rotoworld:

Ravens agreed to terms with rookie NT Terrence Cody, the No. 57 overall
pick, on a four-year, $3.385 million contract.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain"> A run-stopping mammoth from Alabama, Cody
will compete for snaps with longtime starting nose tackle Kelly Gregg.
Gregg is coming off an excellent year, but has dealt with recent knee
problems and is entering his age-34 season. If Cody comes along as
quickly as his outstanding spring performances indicated, he could turn
it into a timeshare by midseason.

And Mr. Cody was going to challenge Kelly Greg for snaps? If sumo Cody actually challenged him for snaps, then this site is a black supremacy site.

Good news for fat sumo Terrance Cody fans! He managed to "pass" the conditioning test to become an official Ravens training camp participant! From reading the article, it seems that the "conditioning test" consists of running 25 yards up and back (50 total), resting for over a minute, then running it again, resting again, and then running a third time, for a TOTAL of 150 yards, with over 2 minutes of rest in-between.

If this is indeed the "test", then it is inconceivable how a supposed top-tier "athlete" could possibly fail it. I could easily run it now, at my "advanced" age without bothering to do the resting, and hardly be breathing hard.

We had to run a mandatory 3 300 yard shuttle when I was in HS. 50 yards and back 3 times and you had to finish in under a minute if you were a skill position. Mt. Cody should be able to do this, it's a pretty easy drill..

That's both comical and so pathetic at the same time. Physical strength requirements for the military, police and firemen were lowered for affirmative action reasons to pander to feminists and manginas, but the NFL's affirmative action pandering has them beat. It may take a few more exploding hearts, ala Korey Stringer, before attention is focused on the league's infatuation with morbidly obese "athletes." It could be an interesting battle -- the U.S.'s ever growing Nanny State vs. the NFL's extremist pro-black affirmative action policies.

Thats ridiculous to think Cody will be sharing snaps with Gregg. The only thing Cody can do is take up space. Gregg had 63 tackles and 3 sacks last year, which is great for a NT. The guy can constantly take on triple teams.

Heres an old piece on Gregg

"Brooks has actually arranged a DVD of 15 Gregg highlights. Gregg is
the only NFL nose tackle who plays a pure-zero gap, lining up directly
over the center on every down. All-Pros such as San Diego's Jamal
Williams and New England's Richard Seymour usually shade right or left.
But watching film, it's clear why Ray Lewis calls Gregg "my partner": The
nose tackle absorbs blockers and wrangles them any way he wants, giving
Lewis a lane to the ball.

On the 15th play Brooks says, "This is
why he's great." Against Cincinnati last November, Gregg shot into three
blockers totaling 845 pounds: center Eric Ghiaciuc, left guard Eric
Steinbach and tight end Reggie Kelly. Gregg's stocky build helped him
put the trio on their heels. His legs didn't give, not with meaty calves
that rise from his ankles like martini glasses. And his hands were
under the offensive linemen's pads so he could maneuver. Gregg broke
through the triple-team and caught tailback Rudi Johnson's ankles for a
short gain. "That's as incredible a play as I've ever seen," says
Brooks."

And why again are 400 pound lard asses like Cody the "prototype" for NT but not Gregg, who can do more than take up space, is very athletic, a guy that dropped all the way to the 6th round but still wound up performing like a 1st rounder? They claimed "height" was a reason. Sure.

It's great to know that Suggs saw fit to actually do some workouts and condition himself somewhat. Good thing he isn't white, or he would've lost his starting job sometime last year.

A year after reporting to training camp at 283 pounds, Ravens DE Terrell Suggs showed up in the mid-260s Wednesday.

The Ravens should breathe a sigh of relief after Suggs, for a second straight offseason, skipped almost all of spring practice. A strong bet for a rebound campaign, we like Suggs to finish as a top-five IDP DL this season.

God, that "drill" could easily be completed by female kindergartens (probably several times over). Judging by the drastic amount of "professional athletes" on the sidelines utilizing oxygen tanks"¦I'm sure "Mt. Bloaty" wasn't the only Afro-Millionaire too pampered by the system to get into decent shape.

I couldn't imagine how exhausted a typical NFL player would be if they were ever asked to play offense, defense, and special teams (like I, and most players did on my high school and college football teams).

This is what someone posted, about the timing of it

"The test is timed.

The team takes the player's 40 yard dash time, then adds 10 seconds
to it. So Cody would have had to run the shuttle, 50 yards in total, in
15.6 seconds. 70 second rest, then he does it again. 70 second rest,
then one last time. You either pass or fail based on the above."

Everybody was saying "well they have to do it in a certain amount of time, he isn't known to be a speedster" Well turns out they go by your 40 time, which he almost ran a 6 second 40 yard dash. He got 10 extra seconds for 10 added yards. This drill seems pretty damn easy. A professional athlete should definitely be able to do it. An average joe should be able to do it, but looking at most dwfs with their beer guts I guess not. Maybe that is why they have a soft spot for big tubs of lard that have no business playing the game.

Wow. So all told, you have roughly 45 seconds to cover 150 yards, not including the exorbitant rest time between "sprints". Damn, I knew I should have dipped myself in black ink and eaten 10 pizzas a day while I was in college! I'd be a wealthy football player able to hang out at strip clubs "making it rain"

It's cool he used the term "dwfs." Guess it was one of us who wrote it.

That AP article also states that Fat Boy failed the conditioning test the first time he took it.

Guess that's kind of like putting up a 9 on the Wonderlic, like so many of the league's affirmative action players do. And the pandering quotes from John Harbaugh and Jarrett Johnson in the article are pathetic. World's great athletes, lol, more like world's greatest affirmative action experiment.Edited by: Don Wassall

The $100 million dollar man, Albert Haynesworth, is even less fit than Cody, flunking the Redskins' "conditioning test." Let's see, he's the gentleman who stomped on the head of a Cowboys player during a game, was signed to a $100 million contract by Dan Snyder, just received a $21 million bonus in the spring, but became "disgruntled" because Washington changed from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4 during the offseason, and can't even pass a conditioning test that most grandmothers could with a little bit of training. What a league, what a country!

Domonique Foxworth tears ACL, out for year

Posted on: July 30, 2010 10:58 am
Edited on: July 30, 2010 11:18 am

The Ravens already thin secondary took a(nother) major hit on Friday morning, as the team learned that Domonique Foxworth will miss the entire season after tearing his ACL.

CBS Ravens' Rapid Reporter Jon Gallo noted that Foxworth was absent from practice this morning, and now Twitter is flooded with the news (initiating from Aaron Wilson of the Cook County Times ) that Foxworth will miss the year.

Wilson mentioned that he was "contemplating his medical options" after a Thursday injury the injury in non-contact drills on Wednesday generated an initial diagnosis of a torn ACL.

It's a tremendous blow for the team's biggest weakness, and it probably means that you'll see the Ravens attempt to sign a free agent for depth, make a trade, cave to Ed Reed's contract demands, or potentially install me as a starting cornerback for the season opener.

Follow CBS Sports NFL on Twitter (and stay tuned to our Baltimore Rapid Reports ) for more information on Foxworth's situation.

-- Will Brinson

Update: John Harbaugh has confirmed that Foxworth will miss the entire season and called the injury "unfortunate."
