Man, the Hass situation is so messed up. He's just rotting away on the bench. At least he's got a roster spot though, I reckon.

i don't get it either. Garrett Mills situation baffles me as well, the guy is such a great receiver he could EASILY lead Vikings with catches, yards and TDs. he's Chris Cooley waiting to happen, but for some reason Vikings claimed him NOT to give him a shot... wtf!

I saw Garrett Mills play in the 2005 Liberty Bowl, and he has great hands and decent speed. He's a record setter too. The way these guys are "aged" on the bench is just unreal. We complain about our players being old but heck, the system has made a lot of them that way. Many don't get the opportunity to start or contribute significantly until they are old. That's why guys like Brian Leonard are so awesome to see playing a lot in their rookie season.

it's going to be a tough game for Brian Leonard. Kelly Gregg is killing him...
smiley18.gif

Kevin Curtis just caught a 75 yard TD!!!

Kevin Walter had 2 catches for 60 yards (45 and 15) on Texans opening drive.Edited by: backrow

Man, first the black tackle Alex Barron jumps offside inside the 10, the Wilkins misses the FG. St. Louis can't get any breaks.

Gus throwing 2 INTs already ain't a good sign either.

smiley18.gif

Stop the presses! Dan Dinkdork actually said a Vince Young INT throw was "amateurish." Of course, a few plays back, he said Ben Hartsock was "too big to tackle" after he broke the initial tackle and ran for about 12 more yards. Edited by: Colonel_Reb

check this out:

Bengals LT Levi Jones was benched in the first half Sunday.

Jones can't be healthy. He was absolutely destroyed by Chiefs DE Jared Allen, who rang up three sacks against him within the first 17 minutes. Scott Kooistra came in at left guard and Andrew Whitworth shifted to the blind side.

of course Jared Allen can't be a premiere pass rusher, what's with him being white and all, hence the only possible explanation is that mr overrated Levi Jones is not healthy...

Chris Cooley is having a great day, 97 yards and 1 TD in first half

110 yards for KC at the half. He and Cooley are 1 and 2 in receiving on the day! Walter isn't far behind.

Just watching the updates on gamecast, and Travis Minor just got all the carries on the last drive. I hope Leonard can get back in and get some decent yardage on some plays.

yeah Leonard got his wind knocked out of him earlier. he was back in to finish the drive off. unfortunately so far Minor has looked better than Brian, being able to get two runs over 10 yards.
let's hope Brian can get a break and at least score a TD.

btw this is from live NFL stats:

Receiving Yards
1 K. Curtis, PHI, 121
2 C. Cooley, WAS, 101
3 K. Walter, HOU, 98

Anybody watching the Skins - Packers? Is it just me or are they trying to prop up Jason Campbell already? He threw an INT and they announced that he had thrown 90-some passes without an INT, 5th longest active streak in the NFL.

5th longest? How far down the list do we have to go to prop up a black quarterback? I dunno.. is that a big deal or not? Your thoughts?

Kelly Gregg got mad props today, they called him extremely underrated, all muscle, unblockable, great technician and one of the best tackles in the NFL.
They also praised Jarrett Johnson (this kid is so quick off the ball, makes plays all over the place and more!)

if anyone doubted Kevin Walter, tune in to Houston game... he has 8 catches for 129 yards, including several big catches for 3rd downs and one for 4 down.

David Anderson has two catches, including a suberb clutch grab on a third and long.Edited by: backrow

Kevin Walter is still leading the ESPN receiving board with 160 yards on 12 catches!

How long has it been since an NFL team's top 3 receivers were white?

Owen Daniels ended up with 5 for 79 and David Anderson had 3 for 33!
smiley32.gif

BTW, Matt Jones had 3 for 18.

Bo Scaife ended up with 3 for 45, and Ben Hartsock had the 16 yard catch. Edited by: Colonel_Reb

Good week for all the ignored talent in the NFL that just happens to have pale skin.

That was funny. I saw the game too and laughed when I heard that stat. Then I flipped the channel andheard Dierdorf gushing over a 15 yard pass thrown by Vince Young. Dan said that he stepped into the pocket and tossed a perfect spiral and took a hit from a lineman. Oh, wow!He made a routine play, but you'd think he did something incredible. Fortunately the Titans lost or Vince would have been given credit for leading his team to victory, despite having no TD'S, 1 INT, and 1 fumble.

I don't know if Walter had a single fan in the country outside of this site (and his family lol) until now. What a great day for him. Mad props and all that!

I heard Dinkdork talking about FB Casey Cramer when Young mis-handed off to one of his black backs. They showed Cramer at the start of the play moving out to block and he said "Cramer hasn't had a carry all year" and then proceeded to say he didn't know what happened in the exchange between Young and the other back. I am thinking, what did Cramer have to do with any of that fumble?Edited by: Colonel_Reb

Don't expect it to get better for Hass anytime soon either. Muhammad has had 2 days this year with 44 yards recieving. That may seem paltry to most fans, but the Bears aren't use to successful widerecievers. Berrian averaging around 68 yards a game, Moose has had a couple touchdowns and Devin Hester got his one big catch for a touchdown, to the Bears and most of their fans that is successful. "We got da Weaponsssssss dare pal, Ron Turner jussss needssss ta be more agresssssive. Go Bearssssssssssssssssss." BTW that was my drunk friend Ray. Hass will continue rotting on the Bench, the Bears will keep losing these kinds of games and the team and fans won't know what hit them until we are eliminated down the stretch and the fans are once again complaining our Wide Recievers disappeared in some key game that we needed to win to stay alive. it was Cramer's fault, obviously. there's only so many whites on Titans offense that can be blamed for Young's miscues...

Nice drunken Bear fan quote there BearBacker. I guess you're right, it just makes no sense that these teams would sacrifice so much just to keep white players on the bench.

backrow, I think Dorf on football has to say something bad about whites every time he can. I hated him on MNF and I hate him now.

Welker scores again!

The talking head shills on Comcast are now speculating that Adam Archuleta has lost his starting job at Safety, as if our secondary wasn't bad enough with Danieal "I can't cover anyone" Manning out there. It is always Archuleta's fault that the Bears secondary plays bad in the eyes of the fans and the media.
