    Football Equipment Thread

If anyone wondered what sort of helmet TE Chris Cooley of the Redskins is wearing, according to his blog it's a prototype version of a new Revolution. Really peculiar looking, but I'm sure very confortable. (Pictures are huge, so I'm just going to link them.) Picture 1 Picture 2

    White Cornerbacks

Hey, the Eagles drafted LB Andy Studebaker out of Wheaton, and he made their practice squad after being moved from DE! Maybe Wheaton was put on the map. He would probably need a cool YouTube video like Studebaker had, first and foremost! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEG_-bQd5cI

    McNabb nonsense....

A game manager is a quarterback who plays a game without making any mistakes, but not necessarily being a huge playmaker. Quarterbacks like Brad Johnson and Brain Griese are examples. Solid performers who won't lose the game for you with a costly gamble. However, this term is now generally...

    NFL Week 3 2008

Nah, Eric ran right into him. I think the magnitude of the interception just got the better of him!

    Vince Young

I was also surprised at how relentless Hoge has been of late. He was a major opponent of Young coming out of Texas, thatr much I remember. Aside from this, he's been a typical Caste analyst. He's at least consistent. It's funny to see the other talking heads on ESPN get all uncomfortable and...

Eric Weddle has a nice diving interception tonight against the Jets.

Jacob Hester sighting. Gets one carry into the line to end the half. Great.

    Sumo Watch

Like you said, arguably. They really floundered against the Eagles, who held Marion Barber to 30 rushing yards. Granted, they do a good job of protecting Romo for the most part, but I adamantly disagree with your run-blocking assertion. Against a good defense, they struggled.

    Sumo Watch

Deadlift, you can always take solace in the fact that these teams that hoard sumos will be, for the most part, perennial bottom-feeders in the NFL. Small solace, but some teams stick to the proven formula of white offensive linemen. These teams are usually some of the better teams in the league...

    Jim Leonhard

http://www.baltimoreravens.com/News/Articles/2008/09/Notes_- _Leonhard_a_Busy_Man.aspx An unusual show of trust in a white DB. I was surprised, especailly by the kick returning part. Leonhard stepped up admirably, and very well may be starting depending on the health of Dawan Landry. Good...

    First Varsity Game

Hey, good luck this season! I had a blast playing high school football, despite being one of only a few whites on the team. From one DB to another, make sure you keep the play in front of you and make good form tackles. No matter how fast someone is, you can beat them with more intelligent...

    NFL Week 3 2008

Not sure of the stats, but Eagles MLB Stewart Bradley had a whale of a game. I'm not exaggerating when I say I can see him as a future Pro-Bowler. Anyone here who's seen him play might agree. AJ Hawk is an absolute machine. It seems he's making every open-field tackle tonight for the Pack...

I like that analogy. We're fighting a war here.

    NFL Week 3 2008

The Eagles defensive line ran roughshod over the Steelers. Something in the neighborhood of 7, possibly 8 sacks on the day. It was good to see Dave Tollefson on the field for the Giants today. He was, after all, the rightful backup to Osi Umenyiora. Gave a solid effort. Dan Klecko also saw...

    The Garbage on TV

Just go with Law & Order, in my opinion. Not much playing around there. Special Victims Unit is a personal favorite of mine. While not totally flawless, Detective Stabler is a good role model and character.
