2026 NFL Draft

Also the CFL. It has been historically dark but AJO is a bonafide star, fresh off a title run. Zander Horvath was barely used but when he was he exploded. I bet we see more of him this next year.
Both those CFL backs should be rotational pieces in a NFL RB room.. Keep me posted on when those guys play! Will make an effort to watch CFL like never before!

I’m really impressed by Sam Scott and Andrew Burnette. Blazing 40 times for bigger backs!

With little over a week to go before the draft in Pittsburgh, some media outlets are already throwing out absurd numbers like 700,000 are expected to attend. Actually, given that Goodell, Eisen & Co. repeatedly claimed 600,000, at least 20 times the actual number, were at little Green Bay last year (metro population roughly 330,000), I'm hoping for the one million mark to be claimed for this year's Caste spectacle.

If 700,000 people are going to be smashed together in a small section of downtown Pittsburgh over a three day period, how come 40% of hotel rooms in Allegheny County (Pittsburgh) are still vacant? From an article:

Perry Ivery, the board chair of Visit Pittsburgh and general manager of the 167-room Oaklander Hotel, shared the latest data, which was as of April 1, with KDKA. It showed nearly 60% of the county's roughly 19,000 hotel rooms have been booked for the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the draft.

So less than 12,000 hotel rooms have been booked so far. I guess most of the 700,000 have decided to pitch a tent along one of the three rivers, in order to commune with nature and the brigades of homeless people.

I thoroughly enjoy your observations and criticisms of the draft attendance lies over the years that are pushed during the draft broadcast. With the draft being held in Pittsburgh you are going to a have a field day exposing and calling out the NFL lies! Looking forward to it. I always felt the draft should have remained in New York City as it was prior to the league deciding to make it into a traveling circus spectacle. All of this of course for more shekels in the NFL's pocket. It's just another example of how watered down the sport has become along with the ridiculous international games, the NFL stretching out it's schedule to the point where at one point last season there was a game on everyday but Tuesday on top of the constant rule changes that occur every year.

Don, these are some of your most entertaining posts (of which you have many).

For fun let’s do some math. Let’s say the DWFs are going to share hotel rooms to the tune of 4 per booking (probably generous). 4x12,000=48,000. It’s 72,000 if they go “Mexican” and cram 6 fatsos to a room. Then let’s say an equal number come from Pittsburgh or a driving distance not requiring lodging. We’re only at 100,000 so where are the extra 600k lügenpresse?

These supposed totals are comically fake when you even scratch the surface of what’s possible. And beyond the numbers, just think logically about the appeal of attending the event. Out of all the most hardcore sports and NFL fans I know IRL, I don’t know a single one who’s ever attended the NFL Draft. Not even when it was in NYC. It’s a super boring event for the most part, and is more consumable on TV, where you can have it on in the background while doing something else.

I went through 4 recently released 7 round mock drafts and to no one's surprise the number of White athletes selected in each was 62. 59, 62, 60. Well it may be a small surprise as it's a slight uptick in projections but nothing that will move the needle.

Noticeable trends:

I have seen QB Garrett Nussmeier mocked to the Steelers in several of the mock drafts along with Carson Beck. For some reason the "experts" seem to have forgotten that Will Howard is on the roster and all reports indicate they are high on him. Meanwhile only one mock draft had Cleveland selecting a QB when they have one of the worst QB groups in the league. The reason is obvious the "experts" don't dare mock a challenger to Sanders. Bryce Young and Jordan Love apparently have nothing to worry about either.

I do worry that Ty Simpson is being setup to be this year's White goy in the green room. The Jets and Cardinals both have obvious needs at the position and while I have seen him projected to land at one of those teams (mostly in round 2) I still feel that the league will pull a Howard, Ewers or Leonard type stunt with him.

The two black TEs getting all the pre-draft hyped are both woefully overrated and incapable of being even average blocking TEs. My prediction is they are selected lower than their current projections. Also, many of the WRs being hyped up will bust. This isn't a prediction but just a matter of fact.

This year has a double digit number of White LB prospects in the draft but I just see the same 6-7 names recycled through the mock drafts.

What is your take on Eli Heidenreich? He is tagged as a “Day 3 prospect” here but also compares to CMac.

SP, I articulated my take on Eli in post #230. The idea that some draft nerd is "complimenting" him for being a "Day 3 Prospect" is a total joke, when you consider his college output (stats), coupled with his durability and athletic gifts -- size, speed, ect. I would say the same regarding Dean Connors -- both clearly belong in the Top 3 rounds. Considering the Caste system, I would assume Pare, Jones and Tecza should all be happy being dubbed "Day 3 Prospects", as it appears all 3 will be undrafted.

Nice job by Leonardfan. I honestly thought Simpson should've returned to college for an extra year -- even if it meant transferring from Alabama. Whites should never leave school early believing they will be treated fairly in these vehemently anti-White, jewish run leagues (NFL and NBA in particular) -- unless they are "clear-cut" first round caliber. That said, I would hope some team like the Rams would pick him (round 1) up as a future starter. Going to Arizona will likely be a "train-wreck". Jets option, just as bad?

Considering what I typed above, regarding Whites not jumping early, nice to see that Heinecke caught a break. The idea that he was being denied an extra year based on playing a total of 15 minutes of college lacrosse back in 2021 is a total farce. Particularly considering the amount of players that have been granted 6th and 7th seasons of college. Miami (Fla) had a backup (non-prosoect), White TE that was like 25 and in his 7th year, recently?

Heinecke's "issue", in addition to being White, is the NFL has pegged him as a "tweener'. Awesome athlete, who can terrorize QB's, but is deemed undersized for being a Bryce Paup type. Mel Kosher Jr. once had him pegged as a 4th round type, which is encouraging. But he really needs another year to improve his overall skills (has only started one year) and become more of a standard middle linebacker/coverage LB type --- example Carson Schwesinger.

P.S: I only caught about 5 minutes of "football talk" in total this week. Perky Kay Adams was talking with Georgia Tech's other "athletic freak" Haynes King. She broached the lefty "Taysome Hill" subject, which is a very legit question -- he could be a 1,000 yard halfback. King was not really entusiastic about that, he wants to be 100% focused on quarterback, but said he could defer a bit.
