Despite it being a supposedly thin draft class I am willing to bet that next week when we tally up the White percentage it still falls between 20-23%. This excuse is just baked in so when NFL teams draft no name, unproductive, random blacks and a few years from now when many of the players failed to make it in the league they can just go back and say it was a bad draft class. No NFL team would dare deviate and draft overlooked, productive White athletes that tested out well would they? Based off my list if the NFL wanted to stop focusing on the melanin talent pool there are around 100 White athletes that could be selected based on college production and athletic testing.

Sadly I’m guessing 20% this year, QB heavy, not much for skill positions
 
Mark Schlereth joined Whitlock and he had some very un-caste things to say about Mendoza at 1hr 33 minute mark. He praised Mendoza for playing on time and that’s what wins games, he criticized obsession over 40 times and the combine in general over good football players. Schlereth roasted kyler murray for wanting to look good but not win. And around the 1:45 mark he defends Brock purdy and fairly criticizes lamar jackson for his poor playoff performances.
 
I believe this is going to be a very Black draft. I don't see but 9 or 10 white players going in the first 3 rounds. I pray I am wrong, but I keep looking at the projections, and it doesn't look like more than that. I don't mind being proved wrong.
 
Great work @Leonardfan and everyone else putting in the work leading up to the draft. I feel pretty informed, just reading what you guys post. Don’t need to rot my brain reading articles from draft-eunuchs that are spending 90% or more of their time hyping up affletes.

The QB preview was especially excellent! Thanks.

This is very reason why i make the Summer "WR" ; "RB" & "DB" threads annually.
Then Fun to keep up them during the season Weekly Stat lines too.
The Football previews (hard work) y'all do (you organize) is icing on the cake!

How many White DBs get Drafted?? Is FOUR the ceiling since 2000?? Cant remember any more than that.

Have seen DB Dillion Theineman go as High as #18 in one of the latest Mocks
(CF was on em early Freshman AA @ Purdue))

Would be nice to see Navy RB Eli Heidenriech go by Round 4/5 ; he has made some incredible catches WR like ; yet a solid All-purpose Back
Would think Dean Connors worth a look in Later Rounds

Chase Roberts has the making of a big time WR if he can stay healhty.
Kaden Wetjen (Tim Dwight 2.0) could be an NFL ALL PRO Kick/Punt Returner!!

Kinda crazy to think the NBA Draft will likely be Whiter than the NFL Draft

I heard Thieneman to the Vikings, to replace the retired Harrison Smith. Nick Wright says “thanks to Cooper DeJean.” Calls DeJean a super athletic White safety.

Regarding the NBA Draft being better, it could be trending that way after the last 2 and if your mock predictions come true. That 2023 draft however was the equivalent of the infamous 2015 NFL draft. Anti-White to the core.

25: 27%

24: 26%*

Lol of course bc dejean couldn’t be a super athletic cornerback! Even though he unarguably is one of the best athletes playing cb in the league. And here’s one for the lurkers- quinyon mitchell 2024 ras= 9.79; cooper dejean ras= 9.85

I'll put the over/under at 15 for the first three rounds.

I do think Dunker and Rutledge may end up being first rounders. They have been forgotten about by the media despite their strong careers and all their draft circuit work (Senior Bowl/Combine/Pro Day).

Schlereth was as bad as they get for a long time, perhaps second only to Aunt Crissie but there was always a lot of competition for that "honor." I had noticed him being less doctrinaire Caste in recent years, like booth announcers in general. Glad to see him continuing to "come around" a bit.

Just about every mock draft has Dillon replacing the "retiring" Harrison Smith, but Harry S. has not formally retired. He's debating whether to return or not. And, according to this article, the Vikings would welcome him back after a strong 2025 season.

If Smith does not retire and the Vikings select D.T., how will D.T. be assigned #22?

Going back to the early 2000's, Vikings have handed their (very rare) top caliber, White starting safeties #22. I assume this is due to NFL legend Paul Krause wearing #22 for almost 2 decades? Will Dillon be offered #22 so soon after Smith retires, if he retires?

N. Wright is correct Dillon T. should thank DeJean if he goes in round 1. Who knows, Dillon is already being touted as a potential slot CB. If he "flashes" at slot CB, might even be moved to outside CB thanks to Cooper and (and Moss) paving the way?

The idea that 1st Team All-Pro CB Cooper DeJean was selected fairly deep into round 2 is still troubling to me. Even Wright's fellow Lonsman (Mel K. Jr.) projected DeJean as a top 10 to 15 pick. However, Mel kosher-ized his "steep fall" by claiming it was justified due to injury -- which only caused him to miss 2 games and Cooper was healed well before the draft :smilie-devil:

Leo, as far as Schlereth is concerned, I had a few older teachers claim they remember exactly where they were the moment (President) JFK was assassinated.

Anyhow, I will never forget where I was, while listening to ESPN radio, the moment Mark Schlereth proclaimed Greg Robinson had the potential to be the best OT in NFL history :buitre::copas::emule:

Yes that was some good info on the draft Leonardfan. Appreciate that you put in the work. And you know your stuff.

I bought my annual draft mag. I usually get two but I think I'll limit it to one this year.

One thing that did catch my eye is a lunch pailer (I'm pretty sure) college tackle that got moved to guard in the pros. He's been doing so well that there is talk of moving him back to left tackle. Don't think that happens very often. If it does happen.
 
Gruden’s QB camp is up on YouTube. Ty Simpson, Sawyer Robertson and Carson Beck are the White QBs interviewed this year.
 
Gruden shared a sleepers/steals video. All the players mentioned were upsiders.

Your gift of recall is second to none! Have to wonder if Schlereth was just drinking the caste kool-aid at BSPN being a company goy to get his shekels.
 
Anyone have any predraft predictions, questions or observations?

A few from me:

Will John Lynch actually draft a White defensive player?

How many teams will draft multiple White athletes? How many will draft none?

I believe the second tier of QBs will be drafted in the following order: Nuss, Allar, Payton, Beck

Thieneman, Taaffe and Wisniewski all have the chance to get drafted - 3 White DBs drafted would be a plus.

Will the trends of White TEs going to teams with black QBs continue, same for the top tier White OL.
