I bet for many years we'll hear: "Why did it take so long for teams to draft standout LBs Jason Phillips and Scott McKillop?

All they do is make plays, you know.

Im rooting for the Colts. I like them now, and would love them if they figured out how to play that white safety they have more often.

The Vikings and Giants I don't think have drafted a single white this year.

At least Ben Leber and Chad Greenway should still be starting for them.

Go texans! Cushing, Barwin, and Casey. In addition to Kevin Walter and David Anderson already at receiver. Maybe they'll even pick up one of our running backs late in the draft. They will definatly be a team to root for in 2009.

The Bears are becoming one of the uber-caste teams in the league right now, down to where Jacksonville is.

I think the Eagles are going to take a run at Caste Team of the Year this season. Curtis is no longer a starter. Celek's job is in jeopardy. Runyan is gone, replaced by a sumo. I only see two whites as locks for starting positions, MLB Stewart Bradley and OG Todd Herremans. Maybe Celek to make three.

It's going to be an ugly year.

Curtis is no longer a starter? Who is replacing him?

Two sumos in Jamon Meredith and Duke Robinson have just gone off the board to Green Bay and Carolina. Yeah, that sucks that Curtis won't be a starter anymore. The Eagles, Bears, Jaguars, Steelers,(depending on the who wins the O-Line,) and Cardinals will all be in contention for this "award."

Maclin will probably take Curtis' spot.

The Birds drafted Jeremy Maclin in the first round to "add explosiveness" that they "didn't possess from their starters last season".

I think we all know what that's Caste-speak for.

Funny thing is that Curtis is faster than Maclin. What a bunch of crap!!

The Patriots continue to add to their affletes this draft by taking Louisville OG George Bussey.

Also the Steelers have once again screwed up their picks.

If they want to draft blacks, maybe actually some good ones. Nate Davis finally goes to the 49ers. USC kicker David Buehler goes to the 'boys. The Cardinals can't refrain from taking a sumo bust, taking LSU guard Herman Johnson.

Curtis ran a 4.35 40 at his pro day and received over 1100 yards in 2007, being injured in 2008. Ya, Maclin will "add" explosieness Curtis obviouslyy lacks.Edited by: StarWars

The Dolphins picked John Nalbone, a 6-4 white TE out of Monmouth. He looks pretty athletic.

Also, I second the "Patriots suck at drafting" sentiment. They only drafted two whites, both OL. Despite their super-white offense, their defense will now only start Bruschi and maybe Mike Wright, depending on which overrated loser is injured (Jarvis Green or Richard Seymour).

It seems like this happens with the Pats every draft...but the young blacks they draft always fail to make an impact (especially 2nd round WR Chad Jackson).

Cowboys already have a pretty good kicker in Nick Folk so kinda suprised they would draft another one(David Buehler).

Third WR drafted by the Dolphins, assuming Pat White will primarily be a wideout. I'm assuming bad news for Greg Camarillo.

New caste football forum member here.
Camarillo is very popular with Dolphin fans here. He was our best WR before he got hurt last year.
Glad to see Hartline with Miami. Overrated Ted Ginn tends to get berated by Dolphin fans and local media primarily because he 1.) can't catch and more importantly, 2.) is gutless.

Not that ecstatic with Miami's '09 draft. Pat White is a bit of a surprise from the usual conservative Parcells. But the wildcat does work and White will likely be excellent in this formation either with the ball or a decoy.
Guys like Eric Crouch and Scott Frost would have destroyed the league if they were allowed to run the Wildcat.

I would love to see Stafford succeed, but the Lions are a black hole of ineptitude on many levels (whatever happened to Teddy Lehmann?)

Cushing, McCillop and Clay Matthews are going to be fantastic pros.

Nate Swift will be a f/a and likely a victim of the caste system. Similar to Kircus and Mike Hass.
Perhaps he can stay healthy and in shape after he gets cut the last week of camp and then sign after a gifted afflete gets hurt after 5 games and make a splash.

Do you guys think Hester will get a real chance to run with the ball this year in Diego?

Packers picked TJ Lang, a White lineman, they seem to be going mostly White this year

Ravens have gotten 2 White defensive players, too bad they picked Michael Oher

Yes, Ravens drafting some Whites is a big surprise. They tend to be one of the darker NFL teams.
Lang should be a solid pro, but the Packers picking Quinn Johnson was a step backwards.
Q. Johnson can smack you, but he can't catch, nor run with the ball. Moose Johnson he is not!

Hester won't get a chance unless all the black tailbacks get injured. And even if he responds with a hundred yard game he'll immediately go back to his "proper racial role" once a black TB is healthy. He looks totally screwed, just like Brian Leonard who was drafted the year before him.

Lehman's career was derailed by injuries as he started as a rookie and had a big year.

Given the way Camarillo was given a chance last year, Hartline was drafted by one of the best possible teams.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the boards, Beach goer! Nice first post too.

I'm glad that Camarillo has become a "fan favorite" in Miami. It's always refreshing to hear that white players are not always treated with the animosity only reserved for...well, white players.

When it comes to Jacob Hester, the probability of him getting more than a token short-yardage carry is small. The Bolts drafted Gartrell Johnson this year, and Hester was basically just a blocking fullback after his productive preseason. Simply put, I wouldn't hold out hope

Again, thanks for joining the board!

Sanchez was just asked the obligatory questions about being an hispanic quarterback, and Trey Wingo
smiley8.gif
also made sure to get a dig in at Leinart, which Sanchez not so subtlely agreed with.
