What a fight. Way to go Fury!
That beatdown, after that "I'm black ya'll" walkout, simply perfect.
To answer you, they describe Wilder as an "American." In the eyes of the media, it's good whenever they can describe a negative as "American."What a beating! What will the media do now?
This time he kept moving forward and Wilder had no clue how to fight moving backwards. Brilliant move.
Both Klitschko's had some of the highest knockout ratios but everyone said the division was dead even though Vitali was up on the scorecards against Lennox Lewis who everyone agrees was one of the better fighters. When Wilder started knocking out tomato cans all of a sudden the division has relevance. He's a powerful puncher with little skill and got popular after the "til this day" speech/meme that spread about racial stuffSweeeeeet! Wilder has gone further and lasted longer than I ever thought he would but I knew Fury was the superior talent. It sounds like Fury just took him apart.
We'll see if the media says anything about Wilder being "exposed," a term they are fond of using when a high profile white boxer loses big.
ESPN did a piece of Wilder about how his right cross was among the best ever. They mentioned Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Mike Tyson "and the great heavyweights of the seventies and eighties." Totally left Vlad Klitscho out, who had as quick and powerful right hand as any heavy in history.
Take that BSPN>
