I know who I would rather trust about the stoppage and it's the guy who fought at the world level and took a few stoppage losses like the one Wilder took. Wilder while coherent wasn't able to stand without wobbling left or right if he missed on a punch, it would have taken a near miracle win to comeback and Fury is too smart to gas out, Fury would have just toyed with Wilder until he got the inevitable count to 1000 knock out.Mark Brelend a former welterweight champ in Wilder's corner threw in the towel rightfully so. However, Jay Deas goes on record saying it was the wrong call. Come next big fight, one of these guys will be gone. I respect Breland's call to stop the fight. Why be ruined in one fight, when you can fight another day and for big money.
I don't like that type of conditioning (weight training) that causes an athlete/fighter to have that "ripped" physique.
Wilder was a skinny 201 pound amateur at 6'7", he turned pro hovering around 220 and the weight gain was pure muscle which is unlikely because boxing training doesn't really build much muscle because of the aerobic aspect of the sport. He's talked loudly about the various PED scandals in the heavyweight division but his own brother has failed a PED test, so it's not a stretch that he would have inside knowledge of his PED routine. That's a result of drugs and genetics. Ripped is just low bodyfat with some dehydration. It's nearly impossible to get that look naturally without losing a ton of muscle. Without drugs, Wilder would be built like a basketball player no matter how much lifting he does. His frame just isn't made to carry a lot of mass. He would probably struggle to top 205 lbs lean without pinning. I was a little worried for Fury at over 270, but it looked like it was good weight.
Supposedly he has gotten elocution lessons, what did he sound like before these lessons...Amazing how Shannon is able to succeed in television with his ebonic laded speech. But its Amerika 2.0 and all standards have dropped like a sack of potatoes.
Yes, guys built like underwear models aren't country strong like Fury, similar to RG III looking like a Calvin Klein model isn't a formula for durability.
That’s what I’m talkin’ bout!!!!!Who needs football? We have the heavyweight championship of the world!
Yes, I am relaxed and quite content. Watched several YouTube channels. Even the elite black fighters are giving Fury his due. He should reign at least another 3 years if he keeps his head straight and trains hard between 260-270 lbs. No heavyweight fighter can beat him now.Am I the only one who is still basking in the awesome victory of Tyson Fury? I’m gonna be a long time enjoying this!
