Mark Brelend a former welterweight champ in Wilder's corner threw in the towel rightfully so. However, Jay Deas goes on record saying it was the wrong call. Come next big fight, one of these guys will be gone. I respect Breland's call to stop the fight. Why be ruined in one fight, when you can fight another day and for big money.
I know who I would rather trust about the stoppage and it's the guy who fought at the world level and took a few stoppage losses like the one Wilder took. Wilder while coherent wasn't able to stand without wobbling left or right if he missed on a punch, it would have taken a near miracle win to comeback and Fury is too smart to gas out, Fury would have just toyed with Wilder until he got the inevitable count to 1000 knock out.

That said Breland will probably be sacked for this, but Wilder will be coherent enough to sack Breland, if Wilder went out on shield maybe he wouldn't be.

As for the fight I thought this strategy was crazy but Fury is a boxing master who does things that no giant less Vitali has ever had the co-ordination to do. There really isn't anything on the surface that you could spot at combine test that would make Fury the better athlete than most of his opponents but he has such great intangibles that can't be calculated. This was another lesson on why boxing has it's own unique formula for greatness.

PS, as various posters have stated Wilder can't take a punch, his BMI and bird legs dictate it. He has a BMI of heavyweights from the Patterson era and earlier and only got away with this because of his extreme height and levers. The minute he fought a guy who was more skilled and naturally stronger it was over. The third fight which should be unnecessary should play out the same less some freaky bomb from Wilder landing. Wilder has too many prospect type flaws that can't be undone in 6 months.

Even if his team decided to pass on the rematch he doesn't have the time to rebuild himself as he will be 35 in the fall, it would take at least 2 years for him to learn a new style(if possible).

At the end of the day, Fury is just a smarter guy than Wilder. Fury learned from the first encounter and made the necessary adjustments. Wilder did not.

It's like we have learned with Lomachenko, brains do matter in boxing if you use them.

What a great guy. How can anyone not love this guy? He even sings after his victories and he loves his wife and family. :)

I don't really follow boxing but I'm extremely glad Fury won!

I don't like that type of conditioning (weight training) that causes an athlete/fighter to have that "ripped" physique. It's fragile. That body punch by Fury showed it for all to see. It was very obvious that Fury was the better conditioned of the two.

That's a result of drugs and genetics. Ripped is just low bodyfat with some dehydration. It's nearly impossible to get that look naturally without losing a ton of muscle. Without drugs, Wilder would be built like a basketball player no matter how much lifting he does. His frame just isn't made to carry a lot of mass. He would probably struggle to top 205 lbs lean without pinning. I was a little worried for Fury at over 270, but it looked like it was good weight.

Wilder was a skinny 201 pound amateur at 6'7", he turned pro hovering around 220 and the weight gain was pure muscle which is unlikely because boxing training doesn't really build much muscle because of the aerobic aspect of the sport. He's talked loudly about the various PED scandals in the heavyweight division but his own brother has failed a PED test, so it's not a stretch that he would have inside knowledge of his PED routine.

Yes, guys built like underwear models aren't country strong like Fury, similar to RG III looking like a Calvin Klein model isn't a formula for durability. Even Gimp Bayliss talked about an Elephant stampeding a lion but I would say Wilder was more like cheetah getting squashed by an elephant...

Amazing how Shannon is able to succeed in television with his ebonic laded speech. But its Amerika 2.0 and all standards have dropped like a sack of potatoes.

Supposedly he has gotten elocution lessons, what did he sound like before these lessons...

Most underwear models are on gear, and many of them have had cosmetic work done like pec implants.

Look at Wilder's ankles, knees, and wrists. He doesn't have the frame to carry that much muscle. Same is true of RGIII. Fury just carries a bit of fat right in the middle. He probably just feels better being allowed to eat in training camp. He looked like he was in very good condition. Fury has skinny lower legs, which is just genetics. He doesn't have narrow joints. His frame is huge. Also, blacks always look more muscular because darker skin shows muscle better.

There are plenty of formidable guys who are in "ripped" condition. Watch Penn State and Iowa wrestle for lots of examples.

I'm surprised the fight is available to see so soon. Fury's build reminds me of Gerry Cooney. But from the neck up totally different animal. No fragility in Fury.

A similar beating to Roberto Duran vs Davey Moore. Duran was considered on his way down and Moore on his way up. Duran pulled the upset and by the end of the fight Moore was ruined.

The body shot knockdown (rare with heavyweights) was almost comical. While Fury is pursuing a panicky Wilder you can almost see a light bulb go off in Fury's head. "Ooooh, ribs!" A Rocky movie wind-up and bang Wilder is skidding on his ass.

And to top is off Fury has a nice tenor.

I've seen quite a bit of various ped claims about Fury which is to be expected. They don't want a big tall white guy that can float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. I think there is a bit of fear right now as there is probably nobody who can beat Fury when he properly prepares for a fight. People should be questioning Anthony Joshua as he is the one who, at least in my opinion, is on some of the good stuff .

I've read that Wilder is blaming his black power outfit for losing lol. Said it was too heavy walking out with and wore him out . Excellent conditioning there if that were the case. He just keeps coming up with excuses after he said no excuses

Wilder fired Breland and says the suit he wears to Raiduhs games fatigued him. that is just one of his excuses. LOL

That was a brutal beatdown! Tyson Fury switched Trainers/Kronk Gym; and did EXACTLY what he said he was going to do!
.......Fury stalked Wilder from the get go! Wilder was not the same after the 3rd Round Ear shot knock down; he looked wobbly/drunk the rest of the fight. I like Fury's punishing jab too!

Wilder is losing some respect (even with MSM) with the excuses.

Am I the only one who is still basking in the awesome victory of Tyson Fury? I’m gonna be a long time enjoying this!

Yes, I am relaxed and quite content. Watched several YouTube channels. Even the elite black fighters are giving Fury his due. He should reign at least another 3 years if he keeps his head straight and trains hard between 260-270 lbs. No heavyweight fighter can beat him now.

Larry Merchant "Great Black Hope"

Larry Merchant calls Deontay the last "great black hope", starting at 12:10, maybe he is referring to American black heavyweights as this statement would be incorrect with AJ's existence, either way this can't end well for him as he seems to be speaking here a diametrically opposite narrative to what most Jewish commentators push.
