Hey guys, AMAZING day for our guys! I decided to enjoy it without posting here- as often times posting about the CS turns me pessimistic.
I saw on Sport's Center they only showed one Hillis run. Interestingly it wasn't his 48 yard run, it was the 25(?) yard one where he trucks over the afrolete. One of the two anchormen said something like "well he's not fast, but he can run with some punch and power!".
I think more fans will wake up, as the PTB fight tooth and nail to keep the RB position coal black and start noticing the farce BSPN H.S rankings and such- because it's becoming more glaringly obvious to people with any intelligence. And more fans will notice how white players can't get compliments, but only backhanded ones. These white coward media pundits are afraid of seeming pro white. Yep, they might even get accused of preferring white athletes for speaking the truth.
Now here's the probably bad news, even if we get more white offensive skill players, the NFL will try to balance it out to close to the 30% white demographic (for team chemistry, media and fan relation purposes? etc.) with more black QBs and o-lineman and maybe whitewashing more white safeties. A half white team (or a team with 11 white starters) would really bother any afroletes on that team- if they happen to be racist- and the Marxist media. But hey I'd take that trade off for sure.
Van_Slyke, I think you are talking about the thread where I posted all the mainstream media articles that mentioned discrimination against white RBs. I think one of the things I mentioned, was how in the year when Alstott ran for over 900 yards, he averaged over 4 YPC- which is the league average (in that weak TB offense- that was pretty impressive) and Warrick Dunn only averaged 2.8 YPC that year. It would have been nice if "Saint" Dungy would have given him more carries this year (with a FB blocking for him- to increase his YPC) to eclipse 1,000 yards- as he deserved it this year when Dunn was struggling for some reason (nagging injury?). Most years the Alsott/ Dunn rushing attack- seemed to be a nice combo and fair balance though. I posted some articles on record setting white H.S tailbacks- who went un-recruited- and a couple articles on Brian Leonard and Jesse Lumsden too.
