Anyone here familiar with a team giving up a TD to get the ball back with more time on the clock?

Packers vs. Broncos in the Superbowl, though it didn't work.

Yeah, I did consider those options, but basically the Bears were just playing to get a few extra yards, with conservative rushes, so the likelihood of a penalty/turnover was a lot less than in normal situations, as they weren't playing for a TD.

i didn't see the Packers-Bears game, but i did see the stat line. i am curious ... why did Green Bay have so few running plays?

Kuhn led them in both attempts and yards but only ran the ball 6 times, albeit for an impressive average.

Moronic player confronts a fan, then resorts to the time-honored racial slur defense.  Last week it was Brandon Jacobs hurling his helmet into the crowd.

Spokesman Greg Aiello tells The Associated Press the league is "in the process of reviewing all the facts."

Milwaukee's WITI-TV aired video footage in which Collins is seen yelling at a fan as he left the field. Collins then appears to throw his mouthpiece into the stands. According to the station's report, Collins said the fan spit on him and used a racial slur. WITI says Collins apologized for "losing his cool."

Collins had a rough game in some ways. With the game tied at 17-17, Collins picked off Chicago quarterback but the play was nullified by a penalty. And on an earlier drive, Collins got called for a late hit on after a 15-yard reception.http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/football/nfl/09/28/packers.collins.ap/index.html?eref=sihp

So, we're supposed to believe that a drunk white Bears fan, after cheering for his 75% black team, yells a racial slur at Collins and spits on him from the stands, all while in the midst of a crowd of people of various races, security guards and cops. Child, please. Edited by: icsept

I was a little annoyed with the supa affelets causing the Packers to lose. But when I awoke this morning I found myself still pissed about the game. I realized that it was not so much that GB lost but something more serious in terms of the brain washing of America and its hispanc citizens legal and not legal.

Did any of you catch the numerous commercials catering to Hispanics, this being the "national Hispanic Month"? I believe it was a Bank commerical. In its attempt to gain more customers threw some BS pledge and so on, in it, it had an image of Che Guvera! If anyone knows, this guy was a mass murder of the highest order during the communist revolution in Cuba.

Having this murderer in a major American company broadcasted to millions of viewers is akin to having one of Hitler's henchmen in it as well, say, Himmer. OUTRAGEOUS!!!

Having Che Guevara on an ad by a private corporation is so inherently ridiculous, its a great example of pc gone mad. Guevara was against private business, he wanted the state to take over private business, he was inherently against the very nature of whatever company it was using him in an ad. Its also offensive and patronizing that whoever came up with this ad just automatically assumes that Che Guevara is some hero in the hispanic community, why, because he was Argentine and spoke Spanish?
That reminds me of seeing little cartoon figures of the Beatles rock band as part of one of those corporate Christmas celebrations. How can you have the Beatles be part of even a watered down, neutered Christmas celebration when one of their songs is about how great it would be if there was no religion.

This thread has over 9,000 views! Are the feats of Peyton Hillis and Austin Collie bringing more people to CF?

Actually, John Lannan (oops, John *Lennon*)* wrote "Imagine" about 18 months after the Beatles' effective breakup. But point taken nevertheless.

*John Lannan was the losing pitcher for WAS in the Phillies' latest NL East clincher two nights ago. Being a lifelong (sort of) Fab Four aficionado, I can never hear Lannan's name without thinking of Paul, George, and Ringo (not to mention Stu and Pete) as well.

Che (half-Irish, half-Basque) imagery reflects the attitudes of the sort of white people who go into advertising and who manage advertising budgets at corporations. They have little idea what normal white people think and no clue as to what Hispanics, of any race, think.

A recent Ikea print ad illustrates this. Back cover shows black woman in upscale kitchen. Copy reads, 'The Sanchez's enjoy the finer things.' (Or something insipid like that.) The inside cover shows Mr. Sanchez with his black wife. Mr. Sanchez is white.

White Hispanics fitting the Ikea target demographic, middle to upper middle class, do not marry blacks. Unless properly trained in the SWPL method they don't even like the idea of marrying blacks. But the 'artistic' types who create ad copy like this very much like the idea.
