Actually, this is a good win for us at Caste Football. Young Vick Vince " wins" a few games and the Titans keep him at the helm. Meanwhile, the white hating team languishes at the bottom of their division (this is a recurrent scenario for the Titans under Young Vick Vince.)

So I'm not too disappointed in the loss. It serves the Texans right for not throwing more to their white receivers, instead of just when they needed to convert. And incidentally, the Texans may want to blitz Young Vince Vick the next time they play the Titans, since not doing so last night contributed to the loss.

Gruden, Tirico, and Jawarski further illustrated their unyielding adoration for all things African. Their schoolgirl crushes on every single black player was borderline psychopathic"¦.and on national TV. I don't think a single negative comment was made the entire evening. Contrast that with Uncle Chris CollinsWorthless and his serpent tongue.

Those dead-heads were too busy spewing random praise to even mention how wimpy Texan's RB Chris Brown was running. He might just possess the slowest burst since Corey Dillon. He makes Joseph Addai look like an all-star. Na, who am I kidding, Brown is a black man, and thus he cannot possibly be slow or unathletic (unlike Peyton Hillis, Brock Forsey, Danny Woodhead, Luke Staley, Jacob Hester, etc).

I can only imagine what Gruden's family (a couple of young kids and a wife) think about his new "job"Â￾ as a professional African watergirl. How humiliating. I guess those three twits are merely trying to breathe life into a "product"Â￾ that would otherwise be boring.

Also, what was the point of showing the stock footage of Vince Young running the 40-yard dash while shirtless and in spandex shorts? It's not like his 40 time was all that amazing or anything. Were the women DWFs supposed to be impressed by his wimpy, skinny physic? I suppose it was merely a small portion of the Cultural Replacement Dinner Theater"¦.the show that is never-ending, and is not permitted to deviate from the script, come hell or high water.Edited by: Thrashen

They were also mad whenever Young didn't have something go his way. For example, take Bulman "tripping" Young as he tried scrambling out of the pocket once again. It wasn't called, and Tirrico was livid. In between the next 2-3 plays, he talks about the missed call, saying "how could they miss that one?" Also, whenever ever Young got sacked or hit, I could just see these three ladies in the booth grimacing every time, hoping their hero wasn't hurt.

Here's an interesting bit from Tuesday Morning Quarterback at ESPN.com:

Everybody's saying the Flaming Thumbtacks are back because of Vince
Young; TMQ readers are clued in to the real reason: Brett Kern. Let's
be realistic -- Young still has a lot to learn about the passing game.
Monday night he threw 22 times for a net of 116 yards, which is modest
at best. The "MNF" announcers were praising Young's passes so lavishly,
it was as if an NFL quarterback's completing a 10-yard buttonhook
represented a remarkable achievement in human history. Other
quarterbacks who threw for only 116 yards in a game would worry about
getting the hook. But Young's field awareness and running ability bring
so much to the table, his teams win even when his passing performance
is bland.

Quarterbacks who can suddenly change direction
and sprint down the field drive defenses crazy. Young's sprinting
ability forces the back side of the defense to "stay home," which helps
Tennessee's running backs to be effective -- no defense dares
overpursue against Young.

It's been only four games, but
if the Titans keep winning, not only will Jeff Fisher's job be saved
and 2010 look bright for the franchise -- Young will earn millions of
dollars for Tim Tebow. For months, NFL scouts and touts have been
debating whether Tebow should be a first-round pick. Young is the NFL
player most similar to Tebow; if Young's comeback continues, Tebow's
stock will soar.

What I don't understand is why, with about three decades of evidence to draw upon, anyone still believes that QBs whose primary attribute is running with the ball can succeed over time in the NFL. This has been the next big thing since the Nixon Administration. In 1972 SI ran a cover story about running QBs when Bobby Douglas ran for 961 yards, and Greg Landry ran for 524 and nine touchdowns. Needless to say, the trend never caught on. Then in 1989 SI ran a cover story on Randall Cunningham (a MUCH better QB than Young or Vick, or Tebow for that matter) describing him as the "Ultimate Weapon" and "A Quarterback For the 90s" because of his run/pass ability. Apparently, someone forgot to tell Elway, Farve, Aikman, Kelly, Warner, and Young that they weren't QBs for the 90s. In fact, in 1998 SI ran another cover story on Cunningham, calling it the Second Coming and stating how Cunningham had become a great QB because he no longer took off free-lancing and had learned to stay in the pocket and deliver the ball to his playmakers. But a few years later all this was forgotten and everyone lost his mind over Vick, who never did learn to stay in the pocket, i.e, never learned to play QB. And so it goes. No quarterback, of any race, whose primary skill is improvising and taking off at the first sign of trouble will ever succeed in the long run in the NFL. It just doesn't happen. There may be spurts of success, but no QB of that kind has yet won a Super Bowl, and it is unlikely that one will. A QB whose first option is to run, never learns to read defenses properly, never learns how to work through checkdowns, never learns to wait until the play develops downfield, in other words never learns to play the position. Why men who get paid millions to think of these things never figure this out is beyond me.

A#19, Good analysis! "The Ultimate Weapon" had to scramble so much because he couldn't read defenses & was often confused by simple shifts or feigned blitzes, etc. He was another caste-pushed afrolete who couldn't measure up to all the (undeserved) hyped.

A#19, I agree. Steve Young drove me nuts (as a 49er faithful) early in his career. I always respected his athletic ability, but his best quarterbacking came toward the end of his career when he used his superior pass accuracy and his ability to see the field over tucking the ball and running. His ability to run the ball had to be respected by defenses, but only after he proved he could hurt them with his arm. So too with Vick. what defense fears his? And, as such, he rarely made them pay running the ball, because defenses were always looking for it (I say that in the past tense, because I think he is a has-been).

Cunningham admitted as much in the 1998 SI article (although he said he was encouraged to play this way by Buddy Ryan). Once he got hurt, lost much of his mobility, and learned how play the position, Cunningham returned to the league and had a monster season for the Vikings: they set the season scoring record and went 15-1 (famously losing in the Conference Championship game when Gary Anderson missed for the first time all year.) In fairness, though, even when he was freelancing and running for over 900 yards, Cunningham was still a much better QB than Vick could even dream of being. I could never understand why people went so crazy over Vick, claiming that he was new type of player, when there been dozens of similar players in the recent past, many of them much better than Vick.

Right, it's always portrayed as a racial dichotomy, playing the position "White" v. playing the position "Black"; but that's just nonsense. It's playing the position right v. playing the position wrong. Young was a great running QB, probably the best, but he had to learn the discipline of the position (it didn't hurt backing up Montana for years - and Joe was a fair runner himself.) Elway was a great running QB, but he had to learn to discipline himself, Bradshaw as well (coming out of college Bradshaw was basically Tim Tebow), and Theisman (he returned punts early in his career). On the other hand, the most successful Black QB - by far - was Warren Moon, who was a prototypical pocket passer, at least by the time he reached the NFL. The only Black QB to win a SB, Doug Williams, was also a classic drop-back passer. Hell, even the other two black QBs to lead teams to the SB, McNair and McNabb, had basically become standard pocket passers by the time they did so. Young will only succeed in the NFL over the long term if he can emulate, Cunningham, Moon, Williams, McNair, and McNabb - which is basically the same thing as emulating Montana, (Steve) Young, Elway, Manning, Brady, and every other successful QB. The best thing that could probably happen to Young as a QB would be to suffer a torn ACL - although with that weird throwing motion I don't know if he'll ever be accurate down field.

AS much as i hate to say it.........Watching Vince Young is still ten times easier than watching Jamarcus Russell stink the place up....

That's not saying much though is it? Jamucous is probably the worst Quarterback I have ever had the displeasure of watching with maybe the exception of Kordell Stewart or Henry Burris for the Bears.
Henry Burris was godawful in the CFL. He must have looked like a forerunner for Tarvaris as a Bear.

QB position is a force multiplier that amplifies the skill sets of his team. A run first QB negates those skills for his own benefit. As of now A-Rogers for the Pack is the best combo. Anyway if Young is so great, will Tebow be any better or will the caste clowns in their consensus trance just spew their anti-white BS?

That is the thing that irks me the most about caste love for guys like Vince Young. Tim Tebow has already come under heavy criticism for his style of play which virtually mirrors Young at this point. Lots of talking heads have already come out and proclaimed he will fail or that he shouldn't even be drafted as a QB while Vince Young not only got a pass but was lauded as a revolutionary for the game the same as Saint Vick. Every chance they have got they have jumped on Tebow. His arm isn't strong enough, which is by the way simply not true. His mechanics aren't good enough, his ball isn't pretty enough, he isn't tough enough, hasn't faced enough adversity, etc etc. Basically anything they can do to try to hurt his draft status and put doubts in not only Tim's mind, but in the mid of fans and NFL coaching staffs alike. A great deal of this started to happen while Vince Young was still getting major hype in 2007, so they can't even blame it on the lessons learned about Vince Young. It is pure desire not to see a White athletic player like Tebow potentially be the guy to take the spotlight away from their hype machine Vince. It would be an embarrassment in the eyes of the caste system if yet another white QB like Tebow came in and showed up the affletes. It would be a doubly whammy if he did the things that they hope for better than the black QB's like Young, Vick or Cunningham of the past.

As others have stated Young is not even close to being the caliber of QB Cunningham was even before he was forced to learn to play the position somewhat adequately because of necessity. Tebow will also have to learn that he can't be a run first QB to succeed long term in the NFL. Can he do that? That remains to be seen. Will he be allowed the opportunity for growing room, or will he be thrown to the wolves. The best situation for him would be to go to a team that already has an established QB where he can learn and possibly contribute in the Wildcat while he learns. I think he certainly has the intelligence and the character that Young does not possess. I simply doubt if Vince Young can ever progress beyond what he is now, which is a sideshow. The guy doesn't honestly appear to have the necessary brain power or the character to grow into a truly good QB. He is already starting to slip back into his old thuggish mentality of spending too much time jawing and showboating which shows he really hasn't matured at all. It is only a matter of time before his run first mentality comes back to haunt the Titans either by him getting injured or teams successfully shutting him down. As big of a mockery as the NFL has become, at least for now, you still have to be able to throw the ball to be successful in the league.Edited by: Bear Backer

Right. A QB's job is to distribute the ball efficiently to his fellow offensive playmakers. Whenever I hear of the "new breed" of QB, I always think back to Gary Beban. Back in those days a QB in the NFL who tucked it in and ran was often considered a coward. It just wasn't done. That's what made Tarkenton so notable; playing behind an expansion teams offensive line, he said the heck with it and ran for his life; but he was practically unique. Beban tried to make plays with his feet when he was a rookie with the Redskins, and that was the end of him. Looks like Gary was 40 years ahead of his time.

Commentators have said Tebow isn't tough enough? Wow! What Florida team have they been watching? There may be problems with Tebow's game, but I would think his toughness is beyond dispute. It's just hard to project his future because Florida's offense is as primitive as it gets these days.

I guarantee that if Tebow does exactly what Vince Young is doing and "just win game", but only completes 50% of his throws for 116 yards, he will be lampooned by the caste media and end upsitting on the bench.

RE: VY's mental state. This has been in question since reports of his shockingly low Wonderlic score were leaked. Certainly some of his comments and actions in recent years raise doubts as to his maturity. When one looks at the way Leinhart has handled his adversity and disappointment, Young does not compare favorably. I'll say this though: if Young can make of go of it in the NFL throwing the ball as strangely as he does, then every QB coach in the league should be fired because they obviously don't know what they're talking about.

If the caste whores spew their crap about Tebow, I think we got them right in the crosshairs.

Truth be told, I doubt I would even have a problem with Vince Young if the media would just shut up about him. It's not really Vince or his game that make me puke every time I watch the Titans. He's just another dink and dunk guy. The NFL seems to be filling up with them.

Another thing I have noticed is the drop off in talent of white QB's. After the top ten the remaining white QB's don't appear good enough to be a starting QB. It's all too easy to justify black QB's like V.Y. and Jason Cambell with so many journeyman type white QB's out there.

With 30 teams needing a QB there just isn't enough quality to go around. Maybe colleges should slow down on the recruitment of black QB's. Then the overall level of quarterbacking in the NFL would go up.Edited by: GWTJ

The Titans have now won several games with Young as the starting qb. He threw for only 116 yards the last game but the Titans still managed to win. Maybe the bruvas play harder when they have a black qb on the field.

Only 10 White QBs good enough to start?????? Couldn't disagree more. I count 15 White stars at quarterback -- Warner, Ryan, Flacco, Cutler, Palmer, Rodgers, Schaub, P. Manning, E. Manning, Favre, Brady, Brees, Roethlisberger, Rivers, and Hasselbeck. Stafford, Henne, Quinn, and Cassel all have shown the potential to be top QBs. Bulger was a proven commodity but has declined with the collapse in talent around him. The verdict is still out on Smith, Orton and Edwards.

The NFL is stacked with talent at the quarterback position. It's the other positions, particularly WR and DB, that are extremely weak. The league suffers from its discriminatory policies against capable White athletes.

It seems like reciever and safety are two positions that are slowly improving, though. It is still horrible, but not as bad as it was.

It's also worth noting that after the game-ending kneel-down by Young, he turned around and high-fived the ref.  I found that to be a little disconcerting.

The NFL's explanation. Is that plausible? I didn't see it.

http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/more_sports/ref_caught_red_handed_GMxKypiVlFH8jXluqVhvRI

Sure looks like NFL ref Jerome Boger ditched his impartial role and shared a high-five with Vince Young on Monday night, doesn't it?

The NFL says it was nothing of the kind.

This disturbing image â€" captured from the Web site Deadspin.com â€" happened moments after Young's Titans upset the Texans, 20-17.

After the Texans had missed a potential game-tying field goal with one second left, Young brought the Titans offense onto the field for one final snap. He took a knee.

End of game.

But not end of story.

While it appears Boger, an NFL ref since 2006, joined in Tennessee's celebration, the league last night gave another explanation, defending the zebra.

According to a league statement: "It was not Jerome Boger's intent to exchange a high-five with the player. It began with the referee making the proper administrative signal and resulted in the appearance of an inappropriate action.

"As Vince Young took a knee on the game's final play, Jerome Boger jogged in with his right arm in the air to signify the play was over. That is the proper administrative signal for the referee.

"As Young turned around, he saw Boger approaching the line of scrimmage with his arm raised. As Boger moved toward the line of scrimmage, he started to bring his arm down.

"However, before he lowered his arm, Young, moving towards the referee, raised his own arm and the two exchanged what appeared to be a quick high-five."Â

Got all that?

It's official, Vince Young is a moron! It's pretty funny that he actually thought the ref was there to give him a high five. Whats next, The next time an official calls a false start on number 10 and does the hand roll sign, is Radio gonna bust a move and think the ref was trying to dance with him? Edited by: Bear Backer
