EPIX will present a closed captioned simulcast of WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko's defense against Odlanier Solis on a jumbotron screen in Times Square on Saturday beginning at 6PM. "EPIX believes the heavyweight championship of the world is very big and very important to the sport of boxing and its fans,"Â￾ said Mark Greenberg, president and CEO of EPIX. "That is why we are broadcasting it live, streaming it live, and for free, and putting it on the big screen in Times Square."Â￾

It appears Mark Greenburg, finally knew where the stature, cash and greatness is and has rejected his and former tribe bosses at HBO who attempted to 'hide' the K Bros success from the masses. Good! I hope after his demolition of the affeletito, that a major network or HBO sees the light and presents the World Championship Fight the way it deserves to be, especially with the K Bros representing it.
 
Anytime a fledging network be it television or internet, broadcasts the heavyweight championship fight on Times Square, it is making a huge statement to be successful. I hope Vitali looks sensational and KOs the Cuban in spectacular fashion. Millions of ppl will be viewing this fight. Vitali don't fail us. Show the world what White dominance looks like.
 
One thing I'll say is that we all may be fooling ourselves. Vitali is one of the smartest human beings on the planet. He'll know when it's time to hang it up. He must feel that he has a few fights left in him. We shouldn't doubt him.

But this is when I startgeting worried. Any time I see jews wanting to broadcast a fight between black and white fighters it makes me suspicious... Edited by: lost
 
That's a good point Lost! Remember when Wladimir was drugged? I think it was the Brewster fight. Do you think something like this may happen this fight?

I hear ya, bro, but hopefully they just decided that they could rake in more sheckels from the amazing Klitschkos by spotlighting them, distasteful as it is to spotlight a goy, than by trying to ignore them.

I don't know whiteathlete. But what I do believe is at some point Vitali will want to give up boxing. [He pushing forty now]. And he will want to set Waldimir up for not only his WBA title but also a big money fight. And I think thats what the media is hopeing for too. But they can misscalculate like I believe theyhave donein the past, like the Kimbo Slice/ Seth Petruzelli fight..

Ideally, it would be best if:

1) Vitali defeats Solis in March

2) Wlad destroys Haye on July 2

3) Adamek wins close decision over Vitali in early September

4) Wlad defeats Adamek and unifies all the titles in December
 
How about:

1. Vitali crushs Solis this weekend.

2. Wlad sends Haye to the hospital with a broken jaw and fractured orbital. Haye is never the same again, speaks with a slur.

3. Vitali retires. Adamek beats Chambers for Vitali's belt.

4. Wlad beats Adamek and becomes undisputed Champ and rules for another 2 to 3 years. Retires on top. HOF bound for him and his brother.

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko weighed in at 249.5 lbs and challenger Odlanier Solis weighed 246.9 lbs. for their world title showdown on Saturday in Cologne, Germany. 

Sportsbook.com has Klitschko listed as a -800 favorite to retain his belt, while Solis backers can get +500.

Solis is 14 pound lighter than last time against Austin and this is the lowest he has weighed in his pro career so far. 

I see Vitali dominating and stopping Solis somewhere from 8-10, maybe by corner stoppage. If Vitali goes for it earlier and puts some punches together he can definitely end it sooner. I think he likes to prolong the beatings he gives his opponents sometimes though, he's a bit of a sadist.

No it doesn't ask for your credit card. You just give them your email, make a screen name and password and also give them your zip code. For whatever reason I can't log in now. I guess I'll just use an alternate email and make a new account tomorrow.
 
Riddlewire, I just established an account with Epix. So far so good. Later on I wll watch "Defiance" heard it was a good movie and tmrw the Vitali Fight, so my "membership" is potentally outstanding!

WIR, regarding Solis wearing a sponge bob medallion, its almost as ridiculous as former contender Lance Whitaker calling himself "Goofy" that lasted on fight, where he was knocked out Goofy!

Westside, after you logged out from Epix were you able to log back in? I can't for some reason. I go to Epix account and put in my email and password and it tells me it's invalid. I know it's the correct password and email.
 
WA 33, I will keep it open, since Riddlewire said he had problems logging back on. Man, the format looks pretty good with good movies. I might become a member is the price is reasonable.
 
My problem with Epix is I can't get anything to play smoothly on it, just stop and start jerky, more stop than start.
 
Watching "Defience" on Epix, yeah it's a little herky, but toerable. Liev Scheirber is one of the characters. He is the voice on the acclaimed HBO 24/7 series.0
 
Still perplexed what the end game of Epix broadcasting the Vital fight? If he loses the reason is clear. However, he wins, what's the end game? PPV streaming rights to his future fights? Probably

Same here Westside. But I think everybody needs to have an alternet internet stream just in case. Because they may drop the broadcast just as the fight is starting.
 
Great! Thanks! I didn't trust Epix. It doesn't work good for me, even now when it's not jammed up with millions of people trying to watch the fight.
