draxler is going to play also, right? he was one of the young players that were impressive for germany, and i think he can destroy france's fullbacks

I do believe Draxler will play. I'm not sure what formation Germany will be coming out in, but I believe Draxler will get the start.

In some good news, German captain Bastian Schweinsteiger will be starting against France!! This (hopefully) means 9 white starters for Germany from here on out; Khedira is out for the rest of the tournament. The only question is how the Germans will line up, with a back 5 with Hector and Kimmich playing as wingbacks, or if Loew will go back to a back four with Hummels suspended. If Loew uses three midfielders, then I hope Weigl gets the start over Can.

There's also a rumor that "German" Leroy Sane might start, but I haven't been able to find any information on that; hopefully, it's false.

I'm curious about one thing. CR7 seems to get a lot of hate come his way, but from what I've heard and seen in this Euro 2016, he seems like a pretty cool guy:

He's also been described as very generous and giving in terms of his charitable contributions. All-time great on the pitch, and a good guy off it, at least based on the available evidence.

Is it simply a case of "haters are gonna hate?"

germany against france: aparently umtiti would start again instead of rami
i was hoping it would not happen but deschamps will do it, reportedly, only because umtiti was signed by barcelona

That above^ is crazy if true! Why would anyone start Umtiti in such a crucial game,as he only made his national debut yesterday?France have no chance if he starts.

Also I just realised Hummels is suspended,so Giroud should dominate the opposition penalty box score now.Hummels,Godin are perhaps the two defenders who can match Giroud physically, aerially all game.True,Boateng is no slouch physically, but like most blacks he needs that extra second to get his feet of the ground and h.And it will be interesting to see Howedes play centrally.Germany's attacks too will suffer due to Hummels' absence as he is the ultimate ultra deep-lying playmaker the game has today.I still back Germany to win,as France haven't faced any real opposition so far(not surprising or new) and their black midfield will be no match for Germany's efficient passing machine.Even the German fullbacks will have fun against Sagna and especially Evra. Finally I'm expecting a boring game with Germany dominating possession and the useless French blacks parking the bus leaving the GG pair up top isolated.

yes boateng is big but bad at heading the ball for a central defender his size
so compared with the 2014 match, france will be much stronger on corner kicks and free kicks, have a better corner kick taker etc

germany will still have kroos one of the best free kick takers but no hummels

Lowe starting Can. That's why I wasn't going to get too optimistic. Diversity boy needed to meet his mandatory 3 non-white quota in the starting XI.

Marca is unimpressed with Umtiti's debut:

BTW was Umtiti the defender who nearly did a Pogba* on an Icelandic player in the box in the first few minutes? It was definitely a black player but I'm not sure which one (there are so many).

* a Pogba: definition - clumsily and needlessly challenging an opponent in the box in the first few minutes thus risking a disastrous game-changing early penalty

Germany deserve better but when you have players who keep giving away nothing penalties:eusa_doh: anything can happen.

Two ridiculous defensive errors - one by Schweinsteiger, the other by Kimmich - gave France their two goals and the match. We've talked here about bad black defending but it was white ethnic Germans who lost it for their country tonight.

Portugal v France. Ugh.

griezmann's second goal was typical of the new way of playing the germans have adopted, missed back pass that can very often lead to a goal
lloris is the best goalkeeper in the world
how neueur missed the ball on that goal, that makes the difference between lloris and him
lloris hasn't missed any like that and he is a very crucial reason why france can beat anybody

griezmann is france's best player
keep in mind he was rejected by french clubs and had to go to spain, far from his relatives, to get a chance to turn pro, because he is white

germany played without striker and they never really tested the french defense, only random crosses in the box that koscielny easily stopped
very aware of the fact that evra and sagna wouldn't be enough to stop the germans on the wings, deschamps asked payet and cissoko to help them at all times
as a result payet didn't do anything ofensively but it worked in the end

pogba almost did a pogba, like against ireland:

http://i.4cdn.org/sp/1467926950260.webm

but the foul was less blatant
still he typically can't refrain himself from fouling the oponent when he has no chance to get the ball and he is in the penalty area
it is worrisome since every coach with half a brain would use him like deschamps did, as a defensive midfielder, since he isn't skilled enough to make the difference in the oposing team's area
he needs to work on that if he wants to become a good defensive midfielder

i saw the shameless, clueless british pundits making fun of "giroud's lack of speed"

pathetic

they would have started anthony martial lol

they sure had a lot of pace on their team against iceland
they must still wonder why they lost
next time they will come back with more sprinters and less soccer players

I saw on either the guardian or football 365, they have essentially anointed umtti the next Cannavaro.

Well, our last hope of having a decent team winning just went out the window. I guess I'll just hope white players score the goals in the finals.
