germany and italy, both with 11 whites ! those were the days!

i watched the highlights of the greece-russia match: more unfair refereeing for greece with that denied penalty, but karagounis (who scored the only goal and is their best player) will miss the next match because he got a yellow card because the referee thought that it was a dive (he also got a yellow card in the opening match against poland)

Why can't they review the tape and reverse is suspension? It's obvious.

unfortunately, they can't
they will review the tapes, but they can't decide not to suspend karagounis
because the suspension is automatic once you get 2 yellow cards in the first 3 matches (it's the same when you have a red card, you are automatically suspended for the next match)

so the only way to reverse the suspension would be to erase his yellow card, but it would be using the video to help the referee, something that UEFA don't want
they can only use the video to decide for how many matches a player will be suspended when he gets a red card (1 match being the minimum), and for things that the referee didn't see

there were a lot of similar cases recently, i remember one involving ronaldo but i'm not sure
kaka in the 2010 world cup was suspended for 1 match even though everyone saw that he didn't do anything

it's INCREDIBLE how the refereeing was unfair to greece, it's almost like they are playing against the referee too
a ridiculous red card in the first match, a disallowed goal and a wrong offside decision in the second match, a denied penalty in the 3rd match and now their best player will be suspended for the next match
it must be so frustrating

i will be rooting for greece too if they face germany

I have to admit, Greece should've won 2-0. That disallowed penalty was terrible.

Goalll! Lars Bender scores for Germany, which unfortunatly, seals Denmark's fate.

I'm curious, how is Holland's left back, Willems doing today? Is he getting toasted again? Flipping over from Germany-Denmark for a second, I saw the other black Dutch fullback, Van der Wiel, get put on his butt by Christiano Ronaldo.

Willems had a pretty bad game, made a crucial mistake before the equalizer, got only a yellow card for a brutal foul, and was substituted for Afellay in minute 67.

But a really great game from the Danish team, Agger,Kvist,Andersen in particular. I really feel bad for them.

Germany got lucky. There should have been a penalty called when Bendner's shirt was grabbed. Ballack said it could have been a red card too.

the danish goal was scored on a header by bendtner also
so he leaves the tournament with 2 goals and 1 assist in 3 matches, not bad compared with van persie (who choked once again like in 2010) or benzema and balotelli

and very good match by cristiano ronaldo, 2 goals and he hit the post 2 times
he humiliated van der viel on the second one

also germany played without their toke black player, who was suspended

Krohn-Dehli scored for Denmark, not Bendtner. KD has 2 goals now. Not bad for a guy playing in Brondby, not a great team by any stretch of immagination, not even a medium one.
Too bad for Denmark, but they are bowing out with honor.

Ronaldo!

I'm very happy that "super Holland" lost every match.

yes, i meant that bendtner created the goal with his header on a corner kick, sorry
so bendtner still has 2 goals and 1 assist (this one, for krohn deli)

krohn deli's goal against holland was especially spectacular
a guy with his skills would do well in the spanish league
they need to stop buying arab players because these scandinavians players used to play in the big european clubs and now they play nowhere
a lot of them play/played in turkey, which speaks volumes about how underrated they are (mellberg also plays in greece)

it's a very good thing that he managed to help portugal to advance to the quarter finals
after the first 2 matches, he had a lot of pressure and he was criticized a lot
that winning goal buy the black varela against denmark is forgotten now

The Denmark-Germany and Netherlands-Portugal matches both had unfortunate conclusions. The Danes were an exciting, unpredictable, fearless, nothing-to-lose squad that would have likely advanced if they’d only been placed in any other group. It’s a shame; because I’d love to have seen this team of “nobodies” (aside from Bendtner, perhaps) hoist the trophy. Alexi Lalas, the Arch Wigger who callously predicted the Danes would fail to advance, must feel so vindicated…is the smug little girl capable of any other sentiment?

CAPTION: Bendtner / Krohn-Deli Double-Header Goal

Germany, the nauseatingly-diverse “soccer powerhouse” (that hasn’t actually won anything since 1996) was far a more palatable team without Black Boateng infesting their already quasi-Deutsche roster. Lars Bender, who started in his place, played well defensively and scored the go-ahead goal. Perhaps with Boateng’s “character issues” prior to the start of Euro Cup 2012, coupled with Bender’s obvious talent, the young white German player will have finally won Lowe’s ignoble “approval”…

CAPTION: Boateng’s Replacement, Bender, Scores!

Yeah, right…come Friday, Lowe’s ugly little black pet will be flashing his rusty-nail grin for the cameras as “Das Lied der Deutschen” plays everywhere accept in his undeserving heart. Perhaps the talented (yet overrated) Ozil, along with the clumsy, Shylock-nosed creature, Khedira, and the spoiled little brat, Lukas Podolski, can find it in themselves to sing along? Did anyone else notice how many times the commentators mentioned Ozil as “the physical embodiment of New-German football!” And why is he so enthusiastically-described as such? Because he’s yet another non-German (Turkish) who should be playing for his native land.

I’d love to see Miroslav Klose come on late and net a legendary winning goal in this tournament. Perhaps seeing a truely-deserving and gracious white player finally win a major Championship would help to quell the sting of a Negro, a Turk, and a Tunisian littering the roster of a white nation...especially considering they could easily be replaced by white German players such as Per Mertesacker, Lars Bender, Mario Gotze, Marco Reus, and Toni Kroos...

The Italian media are full of conspiracy theories about the possibility of a 2-2 draw between Spain and Croatia which would put out Ballotelli's :afro::pizza: Italy.

balotelli will not start the match
the other players were tired of playing for an untalented striker, not only untalented but also c0cky, who refuses to defend like the other players

good thing, because it was an easy match to score in, as ireland is already out of the tournament and they conceeded a lot of goals (8 in 2 matches?)

so tonight, both matches will be 100% white (at the start of the match at least)

@thrashen, i didn't even notice that the player who replaced boateng scored
how embarrassing

Spoiled little brat? Podolski ? Nah....can’t stand that guy, but at least he is authentic. But wait! Spoiled little brat? Jérôme Boateng ! He grew up in a upper-middle class district of Berlin with his mudshark mother (a stewardess), but nonetheless he thinks of himself as a some thuggish ghetto ni**er. For the lulz, vist his website: jboateng.com sure, it’s only half the fun if you can’t speak German, but my god...what a twat.Otherwise, I agree 100 %. Höwedes or Bender could play for Boateng. Kroos or Bender could play for Khedira. Götze, Reus or Kroos could play for Özil (+Müller can also play there) Schürle could play for Podolski

Now that the quota is out of the starting lineup I am cheering for Italy. They have a better shot at beating France or England in the next round than Croatia.

I've never in my life seen Spain play in that colour of strip.

If Italy go through Balotelli will probably get another chance.

BTW here is the tie-break scenario for Italy:

- A win against Ireland and a 0-0 draw for Croatia and Spain, Italy qualifies

- A +2 goal difference win (except 2-0) and a 1-1 draw for Croatia and Spain, Italy qualifies

- A win against Ireland AND a 2-2 draw for Croatia and Spain, Italy is eliminated

- A loss or draw eliminates Italy

I had a feeling Balotelli would come on late and score against a hapless Irish team. I predict he'll start in the QF.

indeed, it was highly predictabe
so the QF will probably be france-italy
it will be a though choice between a heavily non-white french team and an italian team with only 1 black
but that black is balotelli, and it changes everything
the blacks playing for france are a useless defensive middlefielder or a mediocre fullback
then there are the arabs, the ones i hate the most in the team probably (nasri and benzema)
but they are not black

and france is the only team in the world who has been criticized for whitening the team

also there is this gay scandal in which italy is involved, they suposedly have 4 gay players in their team, which is way too high (in italy there are not 17% gay men like in their national team)

pick your poison

Who do you think they are?

the first one that came to my mind is montolivo, because he said that he was an atheist

then maybe borini because he is new in the team

there are alledgedly 2 gays and 2 "bisexuals" (gays who act like they are straight)
so 2 who are probably not married and 2 that can have a girlfriend or wife
they are one of the newcomers, that's for sure

Then there was this story about gays on the German team at the last World Cup:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010...michael-becker

lowe looks very gay
that's one strange german
i'm pretty sure that the way he looks was one of the reasons why he was picked to be the german national team coach
the guy who chose him (whoever that is) knew what he was doing

it was clear that he was trying to change the german way of play, and ofcourse their culture also by doing so
and like thrasen said, they are not even germans anymore
coming to a tournament and be so obsessed about how the team looks, but fail to win a title? that's not the german mentality

Frederic,

For some reason Pirlo came to my mind when I read your post.

he could be one of those "bisexual" guys
he is also one of these players who are always rumored to be of romani descent
and he looks like it could be true

fantastic player nevertheless

Assuming England/France are the final 2 to qualify for the Quarters, here's what it looks like in terms of teams to root for (in order of preference):

1. Spain, Greece - the only 2 all-white teams left
2. Italy, Czech Republic - almost entirely white teams, each with a token black
3. Germany, France - majority white teams with a multi-cultural flavor. Really hard to root for either team
4. England - the blackest team left, the team proclaimed by Alexi Lalas to do "great things" in this tournament (surprise, surprise). If England wins Euro 2012, it will be a dark day (pun intended) for football.

This leaves Portugal. I have no idea where they fit in. They seem to have a lot tanned guys, so hard to tell if we'd consider them white, or more of a mixed team like Germany/France.

I'd like to see Spain or Italy (minus Bolatelli) win it. Failing that, anyone but England would work.

Not surprisingly Lalas said that Welbeck should start with Rooney over Carroll even though Carroll was more active in winning balls and tackling. We'll see what Hodgson does.
