When they showed the replay of Ballotelli during his breakaway what struck me was how distracted he looked. He glanced in a totally different direction from the ball and net. Maybe he was on the look-out for racists to kill in the crowd.
yes, it was quite unique:

there was also an italian player who was in a great position to score, but he wasn't looking in his direction either
the contrast is incredible with what the top players are able to do in a similar situation
messi, who is hands down the best in the world in the one-vs-one with the goal keepers, don't even need to look where his team-mates are, he knows it without even looking
then it just takes him a very quick look to take every info he needs, so quick that he doesn't seem to look at the keeper and the other players
will the media still have the guts to compare balotelli to messi? (or with any half decent striker?)

messi makes these one-vs-one with the goal keeper look incredibly easy while actually it is very hard to score, there was a study years ago where they concluded that a striker in a 1vs1 situation with the goalkeeper has more than 50% chances to miss, it was well more than 50% but i don't remember exactly
I don't have cable right now, so I'll have to find myself a link to watch these great matches.
i could send you a PM with a link to download the italy-spain match if it's what you are looking for
i download most of the matches i watch because only half the matches of the eurochamps are available in my country for free, the others are on the new al-jazeera channel
same with the champions league, the final is the only match shown on free tv
and no national leagues available for free in france either , but i guess that it's the case in most countries
