The Jacksonville Jaguars are hurting for ticket sales. BAD. Tim Tebow is a
god in Florida.

Didn't the Jaguars give Garrard a fat contract a couple of years ago? Will they move him, or would Tebow have to sit on the bench for ten years before he gets a chance to play?

Sure, 15-20th overall might be too
high for a project player like Tebow, but the reality is he'll probably be gone by that point in the 2nd Round.

I don't remember, did they refer to JaMarcus Russell, Mike Vick, Vince Young or any similar guys as projects?

A few weeks ago, I was looking at the comments in an article on Tim Tebow. I found one from a DWF that said, "Tebow is nothing but a Great White Hope. I can't wait to see him flop in the NFL. He and Gerhart are getting too much attention."

great white hope for what? running QB? we've had these long before Vick...

breaking conference records and dominating college football (both Tebow and Gerhart) means a player doesn't deserve any attention? God forbid we mention these players for being so successful in college. Most experts are projecting both of these players going later in the draft than where they belong in a fair world. How is this "too much attention"? Claiming oh college means nothing and "Danny Wuerffel was a winner too". I don't get it, who are teams supposed to pick in the first round? guys that are losers in college? Those who aren't successful but have that magical skin tone that gives them "upside"?

In fact Toby hasn't been getting much attention at all lately. The talk about him has decreased the closer we get to draft time, while other affletes are starting to be hyped up. Hopefully most people can remember how well he performed in college when draft guru's start mentioning fullback crap during his combine performance. They forgot about Hester pretty damn quickly after he ran well in the National Championship game.

For Tebow they started the talk about him transitioning to TE or FB over a year ago I believe. He was already very popular so they wanted to make sure to plant the seed early on to make dwfs think that he wasn't capable of not playing qb at the next level.Edited by: dwid

Very athletic whites aren't allowed to play quarterback in the NFL. Matt Jones, Scott Frost, Julian Edelman, Eric Crouch, and Jared Zabransky are proof of this. They don't want a white qb that can threaten Vick's rushing records for qb's. The one guy I am most upset about is Zabransky. He should have been allowed to play running back in the NFL and not be screwed into playing in the CFL.

@dwid... I agree that Gerhart seems to have fallen off the media map. The promos for the upcoming Senior Bowl show all the top talent but no inclusion of Gerhart in the highlight reel. Is he not playing in the game? I thought he was. If he is, he is not mentioned or shown in the promo. And despite not being included in the hype, he will have to perform magically in the game to keep his stock from totally being "white-washed" away before the draft.

The nonsense has been going on for a while now with some draft sites saying Toby will be an H-back or fullback type. The only thing Toby needs to do right now is make sure he has a good showing at the combine.

someone came on this site and said Toby Gerhart didn't accept his Senior Bowl invitation, and was wondering was it because the Senior Bowl doesn't have a fullback on the roster which is probably what they wanted him to play. He probably declined because he didn't want to change positions. I don't see him listed on any of the webpages rosters. They have made guys change positions before based on where "experts" thought their future would be in the NFL. If this is the case I am glad he declined and I hope he is just focusing on the combine and will light it up. Other than that he hasn't been talked about on any of the espn shows about "big time college prospects". So I will try to find info about it, because if he declined because of that reason, its more proof that he will not accept changing positions like other guys in the past, which I already had a feeling that he would not accept anything other than halfback.

I hope Tebow and Cooper have a great week/game at the Senior Bowl. I would have gone if Gerhart were added to the list.Edited by: dwid

From Rotoworld:

According to ESPN's Todd McShay
smiley8.gif
, Florida QB Tim Tebow will only work out as a quarterback at the Senior Bowl and Combine. Teams that view Tebow as a tight end or H-back prospect will apparently have to work him out there individually. Clubs that don't schedule Tebow for pre-draft workouts will have nothing to go on if they project him as a non-quarterback. In four years at Florida, Tebow never had a reception. Tebow measured in at 6'3/236 at Monday's Senior Bowl weigh-in.

If they are going to move this kid why not make him a running back. He has the athletic ability for the position and would make a good big back. Using him as an H-back of tight end is a complete waste of his talent.

They would say that Tebow lacks the speed, explosiveness and "wiggle" that only blacks seem to possess to be a RB.

It's a smart move by Tebow to only workout as a QB or he'd be stuck blocking for inferior RB's as a FB or TE. That would be a HUGE waste of one of the most gifted athletes ever.

I have been following Tebow at the senior bowl. He has had an up and down week of practices. All the caste whore draft experts are doing their best to destroy Tebow's confidence and make him out to be some sort of toxic person. Anyone with half a brain that follows football knows that Tebow will need some work, its obvious. Tebow has shown a very live arm and his athleticism which will get him through the early time in his career as he transitions to the NFL. I think its funny how all these so called experts seem vindicated because Tebow is adjusting. I cannot wait until he proves them all wrong. He possesses all the traits the media wants in a QB besides skin color...oh the irony for all these caste weenies.

It looks like the "experts" are really hyping Jarret Brown a quoataback from West Virginia as the best QB at the senior bowl.

From the senior bowl to the combine Tebow will improve his fundamentals. I cannot wait to see him at the combine and I really hope he runs a 40 in the 4.5 range.

At this rate, Tebow will be Mr. Irrelevant come draft day.

</font>Todd McShay Hates Tim Tebow (As an NFL Prospect)</font>

A lot of scouts at the Senior Bowl are hesitant to harshly criticize Tim Tebow. He's won a Heisman Trophy and a national championship as the face of the Florida Gators. His work ethic and character are second to none. Todd McShay, however, cares not for your equivocation.

"He can't play quarterback in the NFL, I'm convinced of it,'' ESPN director of college scouting Todd McShay said. "From his delivery to his footwork to his accuracy, you have to absolutely strip him down and build him back up. And it's too late.''

While McShay might win the Most Direct Award, my personal favorite evaluation comes from an unnamed AFC college scouting director. He began by conceding Tebow might not be cut out for QB in the NFL so he thought out loud, discussing other positions. The end of his thought progression? Tebow would be excellent on punt coverage.

Pathetic "expert evaluations." Yet we are endlessly told the scouts and coaches know what they are doing and that the best people are playing in the NFL. What a crock!

All this crap being said about Tebow just proves alot of these sportswriters have agendas and/or prejudices because there has never been a more likeable, honorable and standup young athlete than Tim Tebow. You would figure they would all be rooting for him to succeed. Edited by: guest301

Tebow will be better than Garrard, Young and Russell even as a rookie, I have no doubt! I
don't remember any criticism of theses similar but much less talented
athletic QB's when they were drafted. I would like for ONE of these "experts" to explain the difference between them besides color...

As CBS debates running Tebow's anti-infanticide/pro-life ad, they also consider airing a pro-sodomite "dating" ad!

Exclusive: CBS Considering Airing Gay Dating Site Ad During Super Bowl

By Hollie McKay

- FOXNews.com

The network says it is reviewing an ad from ManCrunch.com, a dating site specifically for gay men

ManCrunch.com

A screen grab from ManCrunch.com's home page shows the site's slogan, "Where many, many, many men come out to play."

After days of deliberations on whether to run a controversial Super Bowl ad from gay dating site ManCrunch.com, CBS has not yet reached a decision.

The 30-second spot shows two men excitedly watching the game, before their hands brush as they both reach into a bowl of chips. Suddenly, the two begin making out, much to the shock of a guy sitting close by.

According to a rep for the dating site, which operates under the slogan "Where Many Many Many Men Come Out to Play,"Â￾ the ad was submitted on Monday, January 18th. When the site followed up on the status of the ad on Friday, January 22nd, they were told by CBS that "the spot hadn't been officially approved yet" by network standards, and that "all the Super Bowl spots were sold out."Â￾

"ManCrunch requested the spot get reviewed anyway just in case another advertiser drops out and a spot becomes available, as often happens, and CBS agreed,"Â￾ added the site's rep.

ManCrunch officials said they believe CBS has no intention of airing a commercial for their gay dating service, "but do not want to officially ‘reject' the spot out of fear there may be a backlash from gay advocacy groups."Â￾

However, a representative from the network told Pop Tarts that advertising spots were still open, and was unsure where that comment originated.

"The ad is still under review, the process takes a little while,"Â￾ a rep from CBS said. "We still have a lot of ads we have yet to review."Â￾

ManCrunch's submission is not the only controversial ad CBS has had to review this year. On Wednesday, the network announced that they had approved a pro-life commercial starring Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, funded by the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family, to air during the game.

"CBS's recent decision to air an anti-choice advertisement during Super Bowl XLIV was outrageous,"Â￾ a rep from advocacy group The Women's Media Center said. "Even worse is the network's about face from its own policy of rejecting controversial Super Bowl ads.

"The Women's Media Center and organizations dedicated to reproductive rights, tolerance, and social justice, are urging the network to immediately cancel this ad."Â￾

CBS is reportedly standing by their decision, and producers said they would consider accepting any other "responsibly produced" advocacy ads for broadcast.

My hope for Tim is to be drafted as low as possible, if at all. I want the borderline homosexual anal(ysts) to be proven wrong in every imaginable way. If anyone can rise from absolutely nothing and lead his team to a championship, it's Tim Tebow.

Turd McGay and (S)Mel Kiper know even less about football talent than the dunce DWFs and the girly ESPN anchors.

Tim will succeed, no matter what team, no matter what his draft status, no matter what coach, no matter what supporting cast.Edited by: Thrashen

They are criticizing his workouts at the Senior Bowl when he only has a week to adjust to a pro style offense, and he has been sick. He went into the hospital monday night and had a 103 fever, yet is still practicing. Gee, I wonder if that is why he has been "up and down" in the practices....

The criticism of Tebow vis a vis the praise heaped on players like JaMarcus Russell and Vince Young be the media and her sports 'experts' belies any notion that they are not biased in favor of black athletes. It's ridiculous on it's face. I am still amazed that even the most average sports fan can't see the hypocrisy, it's that blatant.

The old, "If he were black, he'd..." can be over used at times but in this case there is no doubt, were Tebow black he would be the first player drafted, with predictions that he would 'remake the quarterback position.'

I'm curious where and what both of these "experts" ranked and projected for Vince Young and Jamarcus Russell to go and do in the NFL. Let's see how similar their analysis's are. I'd love to see their opinions side by side with their hate Tebow predictions.

One expert is comparing Tim Tebow to Steve Young and I've always thought they were similar players (left handed, awkward throwing motion, strong accurate arms and the running ability to be a HB if they were black) except Young was a little faster while Tebow has more power while running. Young needed several years before he became a dominant NFL player while the majority of experts thought that Young would never be an NFL QB, only Bill Walsh believed he could. I hope there's still an NFL coach with Walsh's vision.

Everytime I listen to that little b*tch-man Todd McShay, I actually want to throttle him myself. This lapdog of the cultural marxists is on a one-man mission to destroy Tim Tebow's credentials and draft chances. He's been going on ESPN every day and bashing Tebow non-stop, with that stupid look on his face.

It's going to be quite nice when Tebow proves all these fools wrong.
