Here's a good op-ed from the hated Sarah Palin in regards to the scared GOP and their "trade war".

Trump Is Not Starting A Trade War, He’s Trying To Win The One We’ve Been Fighting For Decades
By
Sarah Palin

POTUS isn’t starting any trade war… it’s been raging for decades and we keep losing.

People MUST understand our nation’s solvency and sovereignty are at stake here.

President Trump inherited this trade war, and he’s an atypical politician determined to actually do something to fix the problem. The Trump Doctrine involves finally enforcing rules and standards to level the playing field – which proves the wisdom of private sector perspective brought to the White House.

President Trump is consistent on tariffs. He’s preached about fair competition via tariffs for decades, so why all this feigned shock at his recent proposal?

No matter though, because middle class Americans concerned about our industrial demise “get it.” And we see the heads exploding over this issue sit atop career bureaucrats, globalists and typical politicians who’ve done nothing to fix trade imbalances… which pretty much says it all.

Check this out, from Breitbart:

Decades of “free trade absolutism” by America’s elites, “where we unilaterally disarm while our opponent commits economic warfare against us,” have undermined American national security, decimated the U.S. manufacturing base, and betrayed middle and working class Americans, said Breitbart News’s Senior Editor-at-Large Rebecca Mansour during a opening monologue on Thursday’s edition of Breitbart News Tonight on SiriusXM.
Mansour praised President Donald Trump’s intention to go “full economic nationalist” by levying tariffs on China to “protect American industry” from China’s dumping of steel and aluminum.

Nearly 60 percent of American voters say imposing tariffs on Chinese dumping of steel and aluminum is crucial to the United States’ economic relationship with China, according to a Tuesday-published Morning Consult poll.

And:

The status quo of trade between the U.S. and China — pushed by Washington and Wall Street elites — has harmed America’s national interest, said Mansour:

These policies of the free trade absolutists have put us in a dire situation. This free trade absolutism – where we unilaterally disarm while our opponent commits economic warfare against us – is not what our founders envisioned. And it is certainly not what made this country great. The American system that made this country great, that built this country into the strongest economic superpower the world has ever seen, was based on protecting our manufacturing and having a financial system that lends to our manufacturers.

Trump’s tariff proposal is about our national security and our economy. You have understand, folks, the loss of our manufacturing base, which our founders clearly saw as crucial, is dangerous and destabilizing, not only because it hurts our workers, but also because it weakens our sovereignty by making us dependent on foreign nations. That’s what is happening right before our eyes. We’ve become dependent on China for the necessities of our national life and for the loans to pay for them.

Here’s even more:

Mansour read from Pat Buchanan’s Suicide of a Superpower:

In the first decade of what was to be the Second American Century, a net of zero new jobs was created. Average households were earning less in real dollars at the end of the decade than at the beginning. The net worth of the American family, in stocks, bonds, savings, home values, receded 4 percent. Fifty thousand plants and factories shut down. As a source of jobs, manufacturing fell below health care and education in 2001, below retail sales in 2002, below local government in 2006, below leisure and hospitality — that’s restaurants and bars — in 2008, for the first time. Be it shoes, clothes, cars, furniture, radios, TVs, appliances, bicycles, toys, cameras, computers, we buy from abroad what we used to make here. Our economic independence is history….

Starting in the 1980s and accelerating with NAFTA and GATT, the United States set out to meld its economy with those of Europe and Japan and create a global economy. We decided to create the interdependent world envisioned by such nineteenth-century dreamers as David Ricardo, Richard Cobden, Frédéric Bastiat, and John Stuart Mill.

That experiment did not work out well for the free-trade British in the nineteenth century, who were shouldered aside in the struggle for world primacy by America. But our generation would make it work for the world. What happened was predictable and was, in fact, predicted. With the abolition of tariffs and with U.S. guarantees that goods made in foreign countries would enter America free of charge, manufacturers began to shut plants here and move production abroad to countries where U.S. wage-and-hour laws and health, safety, and environmental regulations did not apply, countries where there were no unions and workers’ wages were below the U.S. minimum wage. Competitors who stayed in America were undercut and run out of business, or forced to join the stampede abroad.

In that same first decade of the twenty-first century, the United States issued 10,300,000 green cards inviting foreigners to come compete for the remaining jobs of U.S. workers.

President Trump today announced tariffs to steel and aluminum imports. It's an interesting topic. I am in the Pat Buchanan camp when it comes to this, here is an article by Mr. Buchanan from three days ago:

Why Is the GOP Terrified of Tariffs?
Monday - March 5, 2018 at 8:14 pm

By Patrick J. Buchanan

From Lincoln to William McKinley to Theodore Roosevelt, and from Warren Harding through Calvin Coolidge, the Republican Party erected the most awesome manufacturing machine the world had ever seen.

And, as the party of high tariffs through those seven decades, the GOP was rewarded by becoming America’s Party.

Thirteen Republican presidents served from 1860 to 1930, and only two Democrats. And Grover Cleveland and Woodrow Wilson were elected only because the Republicans had split.

Why, then, this terror of tariffs that grips the GOP?

Consider. On hearing that President Trump might impose tariffs on aluminum and steel, Sen. Lindsey Graham was beside himself: “Please reconsider,” he implored the president, “you’re making a huge mistake.”

Twenty-four hours earlier, Graham had confidently assured us that war with a nuclear-armed North Korea is “worth it.”

“All the damage that would come from a war would be worth it in terms of long-term stability and national security,” said Graham.

A steel tariff terrifies Graham. A new Korean war does not?

“Trade wars are not won, only lost,” warns Sen. Jeff Flake.

But this is ahistorical nonsense.

The U.S. relied on tariffs to convert from an agricultural economy in 1800 to the mightiest manufacturing power on earth by 1900.

Bismarck’s Germany, born in 1871, followed the U.S. example, and swept past free trade Britain before World War I.

Does Senator Flake think Japan rose to post-war preeminence through free trade, as Tokyo kept U.S. products out, while dumping cars, radios, TVs and motorcycles here to kill the industries of the nation that was defending them. Both Nixon and Reagan had to devalue the dollar to counter the predatory trade policies of Japan.

Since Bush I, we have run $12 trillion in trade deficits, and, in the first decade in this century, we lost 55,000 factories and 6,000,000 manufacturing jobs.

Does Flake see no correlation between America’s decline, China’s rise, and the $4 trillion in trade surpluses Beijing has run up at the expense of his own country?

The hysteria that greeted Trump’s idea of a 25 percent tariff on steel and 10 percent tariff on aluminum suggest that restoring this nation’s economic independence is going to be a rocky road.

In 2017, the U.S. ran a trade deficit in goods of almost $800 billion, $375 billion of that with China, a trade surplus that easily covered Xi Jinping’s entire defense budget.

If we are to turn our $800 billion trade deficit in goods into an $800 billion surplus, and stop the looting of America’s industrial base and the gutting of our cities and towns, sacrifices will have to be made.

But if we are not up to it, we will lose our independence, as the countries of the EU have lost theirs.

Specifically, we need to shift taxes off goods produced in the USA, and impose taxes on goods imported into the USA.

As we import nearly $2.5 trillion in goods, a tariff on imported goods, rising gradually to 20 percent, would initially produce $500 billion in revenue.

All that tariff revenue could be used to eliminate and replace all taxes on production inside the USA.

As the price of foreign goods rose, U.S. products would replace foreign-made products. There’s nothing in the world that we cannot produce here. And if it can be made in America, it should be made in America.

Consider. Assume a Lexus cost $50,000 in the U.S., and a 20 percent tariff were imposed, raising the price to $60,000.

What would the Japanese producers of Lexus do?

They could accept the loss in sales in the world’s greatest market, the USA. They could cut their prices to hold their U.S. market share. Or they could shift production to the United States, building their cars here and keeping their market.

How have EU nations run up endless trade surpluses with America? By imposing a value-added tax, or VAT, on imports from the U.S., while rebating the VAT on exports to the USA. Works just like a tariff.

The principles behind a policy of economic nationalism, to turn our trade deficits, which subtract from GDP, into trade surpluses, which add to GDP, are these:

Production comes before consumption. Who consumes the apples is less important than who owns the orchard. We should depend more upon each other and less upon foreign lands.

We should tax foreign-made goods and use the revenue, dollar for dollar, to cut taxes on domestic production.

The idea is not to keep foreign goods out, but to induce foreign companies to move production here.

We have a strategic asset no one else can match. We control access to the largest richest market on earth, the USA.

And just as states charge higher tuition on out-of state students at their top universities, we should charge a price of admission for foreign producers to get into America’s markets.

And — someone get a hold of Sen. Graham — it’s called a tariff.

I agree. I'm all for these tariffs. Time to level the playing field. It's called economic nationalism.

Unfortunately Ann is right

Ann Coulter: “Trump Wall is a Fake and Will Never be Built”

http://newobserveronline.com/ann-coulter-trump-wall-is-a-fake-and-will-never-be-built/
I have to counter you on this one. I work in the world of construction and Trump is going about this the right way. Opening it up to different wall ideas and building prototypes to test each option for its effectiveness is a necessary step when spending this much time and money. Otherwise you end up with a poorly conceived piece of crap thrown together with scrap metal like back in the 1990s.

Also, wall construction was announced a month ago. They are beginning by replacing a 2.25 mile section in a hot crossing spot at Calexico. The new wall will be of the 30 foot variety. Small section I know but it is happening.

I hope it gets built, but I'll make you a friendly wager that Ann's right and you're wrong. Trump's flip-flops on DACA alone have convinced me that "The Wall" was nothing more than a brilliant piece of campaign rhetoric.

I guess time will tell.

I think Trump’s whole legacy as president will be tied to this. If he gets 8 years in office with no significant amount of wall built, then he’ll be a hated failure. I don’t think Trump’s ego will allow that level of failure. Of course Trump could try but fail in his efforts anyway as he has the Democrats, the cuckservatives, the media, the corporations and every other (((globohomo))) organization under the sun working against him.

He initially promised over and over that Mexico would pay for the wall, and that claim has now been permanently cast aside. There's always a large bull **** factor with Trump. Even if the wall does get built, The Great Replacement (of Whites) continues full steam ahead. If anything it's picked up steam over the past year in the corporate media.

Trump has never mentioned Whites as a group and likely never will. If he serves two terms his legacy will be that he was the last President who had a chance of reversing cultural communism and the demographic war against Whites, but didn't. Again, I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am at this point. And I fully realize how much is stacked against him, it may well be that the point of no return has already been passed. Certainly every major urban area seems to have a passed a tipping point of no return demographically and ideologically.

Yes, all good points.

Even if I am right and the wall gets built, I understand that demographically it could be too late. The wall would have to be a first step along with mass deportations. From there more drastic steps would need to be taken, like revoking birth right citizenship for example.

Ultimately everything depends on the will of the remaining White populace. If White’s don’t regain that will to reclaim what their ancestors built, then what Trump does won’t matter. Any “gains” made will just be undone by the next ******* in the Oval Office. Just like the wall, Trump needs to be a first step. I certainly realize he’s not the savior of the White race.

Omnibus Spending Bill Highlights:
  • Funding for Planned Parenthood
  • No Penalties for Sanctuary Cities
  • No Reversal of DACA
  • Funding for Schumer’s NY-NJ Tunnel $20+ billion
  • No Funding for the Wall? <-- Not sure about this one, but the rest of the list came from The Ingraham Angle show on Fox
Of course, the Republicucks have control of both Houses and this was “negotiated” by Swamp Rats Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.

Regardless of what Trump accomplishes in terms of pro-white policy, he is easily the most masculine president of the last 100 years. Openly stating that you can physically dominate another man with whom you disagree is a primal expression. This sort of thing is not only amusing, but also a great example for young white men and boys to stand up for yourself and crush your enemies. I love it!

The case of Joe Biden is another interesting aspect of the Trump phenomena. Posters on this site might not be aware of it but there are huge swathes of millennials who think Joe Biden is the coolest guy around and the best antidote to Trump. There are all kind of Biden memes where Uncle Joe is portrayed as this great hero of the working class and a sharp, smart, kick-ass guy that would whip Trump in a fight or an election. That portrayal is worlds away from the public persona he had pre-Trump of an old bumbling pervert, that was caught on tape saying some of the stupidest sh*t, and was regarded as enough of a joke that even the most hardcore racist would be dissuaded from assassinating O with him next in line.

However in the desperate nether world of the never Trumpers, this old codger has been paraded out and made to be a creditable challenger. Democrats with a field full of SJW's, weak woman, and doddering old socialists have latched on to this loser as some kind of savior. At least he's a white man?

"America First," lol

Writes David Stockman: "Trump’s new War Cabinet of John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Gina Haspel and Mad Dog Mattis is arguably the most interventionist, militarist, confrontationist and bellicose national security team ever assembled by a sitting President. We cannot think of a single country that has even looked cross-eyed at Washington in recent years where one or all four of them has not threatened to drone, bomb, invade or decapitate its current ruling regime.

"That means Imperial Washington’s rampant War Fever owing to the Dem-left declaration of war on Russia and Putin is now about to be drastically intensified by the complete victory of the neocon-right in the Trump Administration. The result will be sharpened confrontation, if not actual outbreak of hostilities, across the full spectrum of adversaries—Iran, Russia, China, Syria and North Korea—-and an escalating tempo of military operations and procurement to implement the policy."

I want something reasonably close to the America First foreign policy Trump promised, not this: Writes David Stockman: "Trump’s new War Cabinet of John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Gina Haspel and Mad Dog Mattis is arguably the most interventionist, militarist, confrontationist and bellicose national security team ever assembled by a sitting President. Don, Trump is fighting the entire international criminal banker elite almost by himself. He can't implement what most people on this board and what normal, patriotic, decent people around the world want all at once. What he has been able to get done against the globalists in this short amount of time, considering the evil forces arrayed against him and us, is astounding. He has a long term strategy for success against these ghouls and part of his strategy is being unpredictable. He has to bring in people like Bolton who wouldn't be the first choice of people like us but can help him protect his flanks and his back while he gains ground on other fronts.

That being said, I hope all the neocons he has brought in don't push him into a shooting war with Russia and their allies in Syria. This is basically the exact conflict Nostradamus predicted.

I agree, let's not be too hard on Trump.

He's not perfect, but he's doing the best he can, and considering what he's up against, he's accomplished quite a lot.

Imagine what it would be like if Soros' puppet Hillary had won.

Right on DD.

One of the tell-tale signs of an absolute wicked and mentally disfunctional society is who large swaths of people admire and think of favorably. That godless, wicked, dumb, pro-abort is the mirror of those who vote for him. This is what our nation has become: Evil vs Good and Good vs Evil. The "good" better wake the heck up, and fast, because we are in a new Civil War, and it ain't just about politics...

I remember when slick willy clinton said that white people would be a minority here by 2050 and the students in the all white college in the northwest gave him a standing ovation.

There's a video online of a 911 truth guy confronting the slimy rat at one of his photo ops. The rat ran away.

It sure is great to have such a masculine president back in the White House again. There's nothing more manly than starting WW3 because you can't stand the pressure of some phony investigation and bad press coverage.
