Well, unfortunately, I'm not a site builder and V-Bulletin is tough for me to admin now as it is. What I've seen of newer versions than the one here looks more complicated and isn't as attractive. Kind of like the way Windows 8 was a downgrade from Windows 7, at least to me. For better or worse I need to pay someone to migrate posts from one software to another, do needed upgrades, etc. I posted a while back in Happy Hour asking if anyone here knew a good web developer that thinks like we do here but didn't get any responses.

I will kick up as I did last time via money order. Don, you have any idea or ball park figure you need to overhaul the site?

Just made a donation. I had no idea that the spambots had wreaked such havoc. I have deleted some of them myself but didn't realize the effect they had.

I think it's a good idea to go with a posting board as there are just not enough articles to support a "front page". And as Don mentioned articles can be added to a posting board as well.

I'd suggest moving the board to a location where the hosting is cheaper or already supported but if it means losing the old content then do what is necessary to keep it if you can.

However Don should do what is economically feasible for himself. This isn't a charity and the amount of posters have fallen off so much over the years that it makes no sense to go to too great a length to keep it going with the small community that is left.

I don't see too bright a future honestly. My experience is that young white guys that are even a little bit aware don't want anything to do with football. And the ones that will follow football won't buy what we are selling.

I would also consider changing the name. I think too much of an emphasis on american football limits the people that might stop in. I am fond of the Caste Football brand name but perhaps this time it might be worth a change?

Thank you Jaxvid, we are now up to $140.

As far as hosting, I'm only paying about $30 a month now. The important thing is to make the board as hack-proof as possible. I will also need to occasionally pay the hosting company to do trouble-shooting that I can't do myself as well as periodic software updating. The basic costs once the site is secure again are modest enough. I also hope to have the annoying Infolinks green words removed from the board rebuild. That only brings in a couple of pennies a day in revenue and I'm sure won't be missed by anyone.

I've thought in the past of changing the name of the site to White Athlete.com, but I like Caste Football. It's an established brand now and anyone who is familiar with it knows we discuss all sports.

After the rebuild is accomplished, we should kick around the viability of maintaining a Facebook page and a Twitter and maybe even an Instagram account. It would be time consuming and be done by volunteers, but it might be a way to get us growing again. I've wondered about the lack of new young posters, but it may be because of the site problems that need to be corrected. If there are truly no young White kids interested in this, or White athletes and their families and friends, then it is a hopeless situation.

Count me in. I'll send the money in the mail. But I think the most important thing is saving all the posts that exist on the forum. There's just way too much valuable information there . We can't afford to lose it. I don't think the name of the site should change either. Caste football is a great name. It flies under the radar , it doesn't draw any red flags because nothing racial is implied by the name .

Twitter would be the best option. You can get away with a lot more on there. The Westboro Baptist Church maintains an active Twitter account.

Just donated 60$ USD via credit card via the "Donate Here" tab on the main page. There should be 60$ received from Jason (that's me).

I am a Muslim so hopefully from this donation some of you will have better views on Islam and racially aware Muslims.

Probably the best 60$ I've spent.

Expanding and growing this site is of the utmost importance. I do have some ideas. When I'm off work on the weekend and have an hour or two free I'll post it here.

Happy to help out :)

Thanks to Deus Vult ($50), Boxing Specialist ($60), a supporter in California ($100), and a supporter in Tennessee ($50). That makes the total received so far an even $400 (minus what Paypal deducts for each transaction).

Don, I just chipped in via my credit card on the donate link.

I gave more than I originally planed after thinking for a few minutes how much this site means to me. It's the only site I actively post in and probably the site I read most religiously. To lose this site would be a huge loss for me personally but a greater loss to the White race. I like to hope that in the future, wiser and awakened generations of White people, will see our work here and realize that this period had some brave men (and a few women too!) still. White people who saw the truth and fought the anti-White, Judeo-Marxist power structure to preserve our culture, traditions and the right to exist as a people. I can't put a monetary amount on that and only wish I was rich so that I could give more to our great cause.

Let's make 2015 a turning point for Caste Football! The site rebuild will be the start. Then let's go on the offensive with social media. So let's get this money raised A.S.A.P.

I donated a weird amount. I wish there was a way I could donate it without the crazy exchange rate (They charge about 5 percent above the market rate). I hope you don't have to pay much vig. I will try and give cash in the mail next time in tinfoil or copy paper, maybe you can make a sticky with a mailing address as the money can all be yours, WIR.....:thumb:

Received $50 from Leonard Fan
$10 from White is Right
$20 from the supporter in Tennessee who gave $20 yesterday also

Total: $775

Thank you very much.

That's the good news. The bad news is that I just got an estimate on this of from $2800 to $4000, which is a lot more than I thought it would be.

I made a scan of it but can't get it to download. This is what it says, copied and pasted from the email I received:

Hello don,

Your site consists of two frameworks.

1. WordPress

2. vBulletin Forums

we will re-install the forum only, since it was hacked previously and not touch the WordPress part.

Re-installing vBulletin is not going to be difficult -

Migrating the old forum posts to the new forum may take long time.

Including the ads and keeping your old content

$2800.00 to $4000.00

Thank You,

Marty

There is someone else I am waiting to get an estimate from. Bringing the 316,000 posts over is clearly the big problem, given the hacking of the site.

So at this point, we can keep trying to raise the amount, or possibly start the forum over from scratch with zero posts which would cost much less. If the site can't be saved I will refund all Paypal donations, and I won't cash any money orders or checks received in the mail unless the rebuild is a go. You have my word on that.

For expanding this site and more specifically for getting new members to join up and become active within the community I believe word - of - mouth referrals are our best bet. Be these referrals take place online or in person. They could result in us gaining new members who share similar viewpoints.

As members of this site we need to always be on the look out for people who may fit in here. We need to familiarize these people with the site and it's objectives. I think referrals are our best chance to grow.

Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are key in establishing an online presence, and the good thing is they are free (only requiring time commitments) but I don't think they will result in us gaining new members who post here. People typically look up FB accounts or Twitters of people/groups they are already familiar with.

I think this site should focus on simply familiarizing itself to people and stating it's objectives/goals in areas where there may be interested people. It may even be worthwhile to purchase some cheap online ads on the right sites. I'm not a member of Storm front, but it might be an idea to recruit people from there. Some Men's Rights Groups sites might also be an idea. Also using general sports boards, if you see people displaying ideas which are similar to our own.

The big thing I think is just that people are unfamiliar and don't even know about this site. So we need to build awareness and recruit the right people.

I also think a few well written blogs could do extremely well. With blogs we would actually be able to gain new members to the site. I could happily write a biweekly boxing blog on race related content, but to be frank I don't think there's much of an audience for that (from my experience I'd say less than 5% of boxing fans share this sites' sentiments). An American football blog, written by someone good at it would do very well in attracting new members I think. The blog would have to be available to mainstream fans. The blog could act as a gateway to the site.

Many Men's Rights websites have thousands of active members and that came about through writing good blogs and attracting people to the blogs.

I somewhat agree with what Jaxvid noted earlier in this thread which is that the name of the site could be changed. Something just like "WhiteAthlete" may be better. Our largest section is NFL but that is also possibly due to the name. I'm sure many Europeans watch soccer and feelthe same way but they ddon't come here. Then again, that's totally up to Don. Castefootball has a unique identity and the name is part of it.

Just my opinion Don, you're doing a lot for this site, including the current fundraising. It sucks that you'd have to do additional fundraising for the sole sake of saving archived posts. A lot of the archived posts is stuff like weekly posts on 2008 NFL season, 2006 World Cup, etc (no ?)

All the meaningful, current commentary & themes on cultural Marxism, and the caste system would probably be re-created very quickly on a brand new forum (?).. there's never a shortage of examples to critique, and analyze.. Again, just my personal perspective.

Along these lines, is it possible to move only select posts? I'm sure we can identify the most popular threads and just move those. If it's becoming cost and time-prohibitive, can this option be pursued?

BTW, I'm on the road this week, so I'll try to mail my contribution as soon as I can.

If the funding doesn't look like it will get to the total and you think you want to send back the money, note Paypal will take up to 5 percent for the the money you received from the donations. So if I send 10 you will get 9.50. In my case and I hope others don't send back the original amount just send back what you received I don't want you to lose money on the deal. In reality maybe you can have contributing members have a vote/poll to decide what happens to the funds. In my case it was such a piddling amount I don't care what happens to it, short of taking it and buying Thunderbird or betting it on black at a casino... Anyway maybe we can have this outcome......:wink:http://www.gofundme.com/hvkgjo
