THE FUTURE OF CASTE FOOTBALL -- IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

So the PamelaOC poster was actually a troll? Man she seemed pretty real to me. I sure as heck didn't spot her for that. But then again, I am somewhat of a Nathan under the fig tree.

Great to have CF back up & kicking. :)

Don, thanks for pushing to get the site back up! FYI, I still aim to kick in some dough for CF upkeep (or whatever you need it for). I had issues with PayPal, so may just use the CF site "Donate" function.

Hoorah for CF being online again!!! Before it went down, I hadn't posted since mid-December, but tried to again in mid-January and was going to make a donation (not knowing about the funding drive going on), only to find the site down. I had no idea what happened until DixieDestroyer told me a few days later. He also let me know when he saw that the site was back up, and I'm glad it is back in this form with all this valuable information intact! I just donated and I encourage everyone else who hasn't done so yet to do so. I'm thrilled to see that so many of you have already helped in this effort!

I'm informed that all the problems with the site have been fixed. If anyone notices any glitches when logging in or trying to post, let me know by posting them on this thread.

The company that fixed CF is interested in rebuilding it. They built my other site, americanfreedomunion.com, which launched in January and is doing very well as far as attracting traffic. If they rebuild Caste Football it will probably have a similar look stylistically. The idea would be to update the site regularly with mainstream type sports news links combined with original articles by writers here, which can be quite short, similar to a medium or longer post on the forum. Then we would also have a Facebook page and there would be a prominent link to it on the new homepage. And maybe a CF Twitter account.

To make this work I would need volunteer writers and help with the Facebook page. What do you think?

I should also add that I don't know how much a rebuild of CF would be yet. When I get an estimate I'll let you know.

Good to have you back.

I'm wondering which regular posters haven't made their way back yet since the site went back online. Foobar75, Liverlips, Metalhead and Goyim come to mind. Any others?

Yeah and Giovanni with the avatar of Marcel Cerdan is missing as well. He had a great sense of humor and anecdotes. I should have PM him a year ago. He lives out my way.

A favorite poster of mine (RunStuffingLB) has been "MIA" a long while too I believe. He had some funny (yet accurate) posts.

Joegoofinoff hasn't been seen since before the site outage.
That was the same poster as TomIron. TomIron is a CF legend as he has a theory or principal which is coined after him. The "Tom Iron Doctrine", as I'll refer to it, is the presumption that any given black at any given time, no matter what level of success or social standing, will at some point do something to "louse things up" for themselves. The how and when are unknown but the outcome is inevitable.

I noticed a few months back that a poster by the name of TomIron361 posting in the comments section of Taki's Magazine. His writing style and anecdotes are very similar to our old friend. Maybe he just grew tired of sports and decided to focus his attentions elsewhere.

I am not able to log into CF from my home computer nor my tablet. I get a message saying that my IP address has been banned by an administrator. On my work computer I have no problems.

Send an email to mail@castefootball.us from your home computer, that way I'll be able to know the IP address and unban it. I'm pretty sure I banned it as a NY IP was being used by a repeat spammer.

Here's the cost of getting Caste Football back online and working properly:

Migration and Installation of Existing CF Site and Databases from LV.net 350.00
1 Setup Hosting Enviroment, Create New Databases 150.00
1 Security Consultant Initial Review and Report 350.00
1 Security Updates, Captcha Installs, Repairs, WP Upgrades 750.00
1 Security Consultant Followup Review and Final Report 175.00
1 Annual SSL Certificate 100.00 100.00
Total: $1,875.00

The CF Paypal account has a little less than $1,400 in it. Dixie Destroyer contributed $100 the other day, thank you for that. Also, I received $200 in donations in the mail over the past couple of months.

So the shortfall is about $300. The estimate for rebuilding the site is $1,500. I posted about that above (post 131 in this thread) and have received no feedback other than from WA33. That's a reasonable cost and would give the site a cutting edge look, but to make it worthwhile I will need some of you to pitch in as far as contributing articles, finding links, helping with a Facebook page and maybe a Twitter or Instagram account. Feel free to give me some feedback.

Don, I'll send some more money to help cover the site redesign expenses. I'll also be glad to do research and provide links for site content.

I can try to help with links, research and mini-articles when time allows.

I'm not much of a "social media user" so I'd prefer leaving that up to those who are more "in the know".

This site is still buggy. I had my ISP blocked and when I used a VPN from an American location it was clogged and blocked with Indian medical pills. Right now I am logging in from England. These frequent flier miles are adding up...

I've finally seen some site stats for the first time in a long time, and traffic has gone up each month since CF went back online after being knocked offline for 7 weeks in January and February.

Here are page views so far in June for various countries:

U.S. -- 431,958
Canada -- 24,525
France -- 19,900
Great Britain -- 15,139
Germany -- 9,726
Australia -- 4,523
Sweden -- 4,381
Netherlands -- 3,480
Italy -- 2,026
Ireland -- 1,161
Spain -- 783

Unfortunately there's also a lot of views from countries that harbor the spammers that plague the internet and sites like this, e.g. Russia, Ukraine, China, India, Philippines, etc., but so far the site seems to be in good shape. We could use a cutting edge rebuild as has been discussed before, but for now it's stable and growing.
