is this the first individual thread for arguably the most gifted all-around player in the NFL?!

well, if so, we’ll start it off with a bang. here’s a highlight compilation from the 2019-20 season.

Nice video. Just as interesting as what will happen with Tom Brady this offseason is what the Saints decide to do with Brees, Bridgewater and Hill. I'd like to see Brees stay with the Saints and Payton as he's still going very strong, but would also like to see Hill get a chance to be the "White Lamar Jackson." Bridgewater is just a game manager but he's one of those "beloved" blacks and will likely keep getting chances, in New Orleans or elsewhere, beyond his capabilities.

The smartest thing NO can do right now is to make the decision to groom Taysom Hill as Brees' successor.

Colin Cowherd referred to Hill as a "Gimmicky QB". Funny choice of words for the talented Hill. Cowturd, like most of media has been consistent in building up Jameis and tearing down Hill as much as he can. Is throwing 30 INTS in a season "gimmicky" ? I seriously doubt Hill would ever approach that level of bad.

About 90% of the stuff I read just assumes Winston will win the starting job, which at this point is based on wishful thinking rather than anything Sean Payton has said.

Just that caste bias shinning through! I've noticed the same..

If Hill gets the starting nod he will be attacked just like Trubisky/Goff/Wentz have been. White quarterbacks all have targets on their backs now. It seems only we here at CF are aware of it though. Winston is a dolt, they can say whatever they want about him but he will always be a turnover prone QB.

Brees was very intelligent and his accuracy was top notch even as his arm strength diminished. Bridgewater was a game manager who played that role in New Orleans (when he was given the chance to be a franchise QB he showed his limitations - both on Minnesota where he relied on a strong running game and then in Carolina where the offensive was centered around the passing game and he failed miserably). Winston is not smart and will make boneheaded plays through out the season if he is starter - that’s a fact.

Hill probably has the best combination of abilities and proved well during his “audition” last season. The media is certainly doing their best to bury an Uber-athletic White QB and diminish his abilities.

I am curious to see Book during preseason though. I have not heard anything about him yet.

A QB like Hill would be my first choice for backup to a legit starter like Rodgers. Reason being a backup can seldom run the offense as designed around a legit starter. Give the backup a script, roll the pocket, pray for a running game and hope if all else fails the man has legs and wits of when to run the ball.

A bit of good news on an otherwise bleak day (McCaffrey going on IR for the rest of the season):

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Taysom Hills is "taking first-team reps this week in practice in preparation" for Week 13 against the Cowboys. Trevor Siemian is getting his reps with the second team. Siemian is 0-4 as a starter and his play has called off a cliff after looking passable for a few weeks. He has completed 57 percent of his passes while averaging 5.5 yards per attempt over the past two weeks. With the lack of pass-catching weapons New Orleans has to offer, switching to a quarterback who can make plays with his legs also makes strategical sense for the Saints. Hill posted 10 carries for 52 yards and one score per week across four starts last year. The rushing alone puts him in the QB1 conversation for the Saints' Week 13 game against the Cowboys.

I'm a bit concerned because of all the injuries that have hit the team. Hill will be working short-handed. I started out in Siemian's corner while Tayson was on the mend. But it's become all too obvious that Trevor throws just too lazy of a ball. It's smart not to consider playing Ian Book while the team is floundering. The defense is playing lousy especially at the linebacker spot, just as Lerner's role is now only spot duty, go figure

According to NFL Network, Taysom Hill has performed as a Top 5 Fantasy QB since taking over! This my friends is why they freak out when White Dual Threats come along!

He basically did the same last year. He would be better passing it too if he didn’t have the injured finger and crap receivers to throw to.

He is a more than competent passer but has a bare cupboard to work with, coupled with his dislocated finger in the splint...

even so he is so incredibly dynamic.

Ridiculous but not unexpected:

Saints head coach Dennis Allen said Taysom Hill will "focus" on playing tight end this offseason.
It would seem Hill's days as a quarterback ended when Sean Payton retired. The Saints re-signed Jameis Winston, who should be the team's every-down QB if Hill officially converts to tight end. Expect Hill to be used as a utility player, especially in short-yardage and goal line situations. We might see him put on the weight he lost in 2021 as he competed for the Saints' starting quarterback job.

Don, you beat me to it!
I also just read this and am sorely disappointed. I suppose I expected it, but still. Ironic how media and coaches praise the duel-threat quarterback but when said dual-threat is white ... well can’t have that can we? Tebow was ran out of the league. Josh Allen is now being told to use his legs less. John Rhys Plumlee as all but disappeared.

It would be cool to see Hill roll up over 1,000 yards though. He would make an outstanding running back and also has very good receiving skills. What I fear is that he will become a glorified blocker/fullback because it will soon become plain to see that Winston is NOT very good.

I don't know what is guaranteed of his contract but he could be roster purge as he is making a ton of money for a pure tight end that is probably going to be a back up. It sounds from that statement Allen won't use him in wildcat formations or as an option qb anymore. H-backs don't get paid good money unless they get Chris Cooley type touches.

Why not a tailback?

We know why. They don't want whites to play running back, outside wide receivers, cornerbacks, etc. etc. They have to hold whitey down. It makes no sense whatsoever
to put Taysom Hill at the Tightend Position. It is one of the most stupid decisions ever but this is America a.k.a. Clown World. Everything is anti white now.

Taysom Hill would be an excellent 2nd or 3rd down back and they could also throw to him as he
has descent hands. At running back he could also be an option to pass at anytime. Of course this
would make too much sense. No fast, strong elusive white guys wanted. It might wake people up.

I am no optimist but what if he takes on a roll similar to Kyle Jusczyck? Only actually getting to run the ball?

Tayson Hill is a big and fast running back, 6’2”, 225 lbs - he would be a very small TE.

Who knows? Maybe the Hillis effect kicks in and he becomes the de facto running back. I say he is already a better running back than anyone not named Kamara in that roster. And Kamara may very well be suspended part of the year for his assault during the Pro Bowl week.

If Hill wasn't melanin-challenged I can see him on numerous sports mag covers the last three years and being hailed as the "new prototype NFL player", likely photoshoots with glamour shots and a suit of armor and maybe even a cape. Think of the scenario if he were of the magical persuasion: He is a QB, a RB, Receiver, plays Special Teams and blocks great and does anything great and helps his team win. He does it all. Does he punt? Probably. But he has that handicap I just mentioned or else the love-fest would be well in place. We all know that is the exact reason.

6'2, 225 lbs. and runs a 4.49 forty. Perfect RB size and speed. White players are going to have to speak up and raise #%ll if they're ever going to return to playing the RB position!!

Yes time to make some noise!
