Unfortunately, that was my thought exactly when the play happened. They went the entire game up to that point without calling penalties. That was a perfectly timed phantom call to benefit the Rams.

It kind of evens out the uncalled offensive interference against a Rams cornerback where the receiver grabbed his facemask and scored a touchdown..

Just to be clear, the big call that favored the Rams - was it a bad call? Absolutely. Refs make bad calls. It happens. But like other posters have mentioned, there were other bad calls that favored the Bengals. As someone once said, it all evens out in the end.
There's no evidence that the league deliberately engaged in any kind of conspiracy to favor the Rams, the whiter team. In this "woke" age, they would never do that.

If TE (hurt) Tyler Higbee had played/started ...the Rams would have started 8 whites on Offense. The Bengals Defense started 3 whites = 11 of 22 starters. When did the last Super Bowl have 50% white starters?

I'm in agreement with your point as the humble approach tends to resonate with me. However, my broader point is that in the current environment, Whites do need to show a bit more swagger, especially for the younger generations to see.

Stafford threw some real turkey passes out there. And that QB sneak. He should have gone up instead of digging for it. I pictured Josh Allen scoring in that situation. But in the end Stafford came through because he kept his head and had the seasoning to deal with the situation. Happy for him to get a ring.
And Kupp. He went a little Deebo with that 4th down run. The guy can do it all.
All those interference calls at the end. I've always thought it is almost an impossible situation for a defense. I can't blame them for trying to use some sly holding and hope they can get away with it.

Kupp is open anytime he wants to be.
But the Rams kept insisting on running the ball for 3-1/2 quarters, even though they were averaging 2 yds per carry.
McVey has been like that all season. Not utilizing Kupp until the tail end of the games.

As for the game it was down to the nitty gritty and literally came down to a play or two and we have overtime or the Bengals hanging on for the win. If you held a gun to my head and had me pick who I would have rather win at the qb position I would have chosen Stafford because he would only have a few more legitimate kicks at the can. In theory Burrow has a good decade of chances, but with the AFC being stacked with young qb's who are elite or knocking on the door it could be a Marino situation for any of these guys.
I would have been pleased with either team but shading to the Rams's side because of the best player in the league Kupp. Kind of hard to believe they had him in single coverage best I could tell.
And damned if me and the wife found out this morning we know someone who knows someone that plays for the Rams and if I had a young son I could probably arrange an autograph from both that young man and Kupp. Small world we live in, anyway the man I know is top shelf so it is good to see good things come to good people.

There weren’t “bad calls going both ways.” There were NO calls the whole game, they were letting them play. So, the phantom call on Wilson was very curious at the most critical time.

yes it was hard to watch Wilson get dinged for holding but he had a jersey grab on Kupp with his right hand before he let go to deflect the pass away. Correct call by officials...All the blacks will blame Wilson for the loss as he is white but the fact is he had to cover the best WR in the league which is downright impossible 99% of the time.

Since Zac Taylor seems to be a somewhat “fair”, or at least not totally anti-White head coach, I’m hopeful that the roster will continue to improve over his tenure. At minimum, I’d hope the O line could be 3/5 White as early as next season.

I hope Cincys braintrust smartens up and gets some white OLinemen before Burrows get a career ending injury. I will guarantee the injury he got late in the game is more severe than he let on, the pain on his face is telltale. He got sacked at least 7 times I believe, most if not all coming from the right side.Oops for got one thing: Funk could have done much better than the other LA backs..just MHO.
Good lord the person who actually puts that out there about Wilson covering Kupp is the biggest fattest target placed upon Earth. Ask Eli Apple once he gets out of surgery for broken ankles what he thinks of Kupp. At least SF doubled Devante Adams but the brain trust at Cincy had squat in the 4th quarter best I could tell, tackling Kupp at the LoS would have yielded the same results, maybe less yardage per play.
My, and most others’ problem, is while there was a pull, it was VERY minimal, and not only is that typically not called, but all game long the refs let stuff like that play. They should keep the same standards the whole game. In the end, it is what it is, and Wilson played a good game and has a bright future.
I agree about Taylor. He’s from McVay’s tree (another fair coach- by today’s standards at least), and usually had a snowplow or at least 4/5. I feel deep inside he prefers a paler O-line but somewhere (can’t find the link?) I saw Willie Anderson is an adviser to the Bengals for OL personnel, which could explain things.
Rumor has it Cincy native Andrew Norwell, an impending FA, wants to join the team. That would be great! Then get a C (easiest to find a good one of our guys), and then at least one on the right side!
Also re: Taylor, he even lets his WSTD get in on the action (Trent Taylor, Clay Johnston, Joe Bachie before injury) on offense/defense at times. The former two each had big plays on 2 point tries this postseason.

Me too. Sadly he’ll be long gone by 31, they’d have to trade up. Would be well worth it but I have a feeling they won’t. Would hate to see them go with overhyped sumo Zion Johnson, he’s a late riser who also has the makings of a bust.
At the start of the postseason, I wanted the Bills to win it all, and the Bengals he in position to win. I kinda preferred the Raiders to win at Cincy, then beat KC, so Bisaccia could stay. Then they’d be in better position to get him. While the Bills (better matchup against the Rams, IMO) could get one (really want Beasley to get a ring, too. Hope both Burrow and Allen can win rings soon. Felt like Cincy was a bit ahead of schedule but at the same time the AFC will be tough.
Just for poops and giggles I checked youtube and all the sportsball talking stations on Cooper Kupp and his SB MVP. Apparently in the media nearly everyone thinks it should have been Aaron Donald as SB MVP. Apparently AD is one of the best defensive players of all time, is footballs current best player, was the Rams best player, and was the best player in all the playoffs. He had decent year - 12.5 sacks and 3.5 in 4 playoff games. As I said - decent. In their attempt to minimize Kupp the media has overblown ADs entire career desparate to worship the usual magical African instead of pastety skinned blonde haired receiver. It was some real over the top stuff.

Yep, you will note that Donald got the trip to Disney World along with Kupp. He was the first player interviewed after the game…..
Most of the graphics I saw leading up to the game featured Joe Burrow representing the Bengals and Donald representing the Rams, not Matt Stafford or Cooper Kupp. . . can't have two Whiteys leading the way when it comes to a "black man's" sport.
