Is there a thread for the Super Bowl? I looked around and couldn't find one. So sorry if this is a duplicate.

Not very excited about this one. Other then Peyton Manning solidifying his already impressive legacy and the couple players on Carolina's defense i think Greg Olsen will be the biggest positive. Unfortunately any success by Carolina will just push the stratospheric hype for Cam Newton even higher. To me a complete melt down by Scam is really the best scenario.

The 2week run up to the game seems to have turned into a massive discussion on black QB's with the talk centered around us racist fans being haters of Cam Newton. Guilty as charged but after two straight Super Bowls of Seattles Wilson you would think the black QB issue was played out. Maybe Wilson is not black enough. Cam Newton is much darker so if he wins it will be the first win for a really dark skinned black QB.

Doug Williams, the first black QB to win a Super Bowl, is also dark-skinned. I think Newton is widely disliked because of his antics, not just celebrating every first down run, but doing jumping jacks on the sideline and just generally having the mentality of a child, which turns off adults, even some DWF "adults."

I also don't have much interest in this one. The Super Bowl should be played the week after the conference championships; the two weeks of hype is ridiculous to the point of being counter-productive. But I'll definitely be rooting for the Broncos to win so Peyton Manning can end his career on a high note.

The instigators at BSPN realize that Wilson was not quite black enough. He came off as white. He had the command of the English language, did not engage in TNB, criminal activity and more or less conducted himself as a sportsman. sCam on the other hand is pretty much the negro they have been craving. He has pretty much been the prototype TNB affelet absent the overt criminal behavior. CAR could win by 9 defensive points and sCam would get the credit. I will hope for a DEN victory with 2 Owen Daniels TDs and 3 Wolf sacks.

Ain't that the truth. I remember thinking this about fifteen years ago, or so. In the 70's (when I was a youngster/juvenile) the NFL product was much greater than the hype surrounding it. There would be a somewhat nondescript hour or two Superbowl pregame show on "The NFL Today (on CBS)" with Brent, Irv, Phyllis, and Jimmy "The Greek" and then the Superbowl would be played. The product was much greater than the hype or attention surrounding it. Now it's completely the opposite.

Panthers defense is undoubtedly good. Broncos defense is just as good albeit darker. Looking forward to Miller, Ware, and Wolfe harassing Cam. I'm extremely disinterested in this game. The first few days all the talking points were about why people who don't like Cam Newton are racists. Hell, both teams will feature 80%+ black players. At best, we'll get a Kuechly pick 6 or an Olsen/Daniels TE touchdown catch. At worst, we'll get a bunch of dabbing, dancing, and posing from grown-ass men. The fake patriotism, the nauseating commercials, the ridiculous halftime show, the DWF's, and everything about the event will be unwatchable. I'm considering renting a car and taking a long drive to somewhere...

I'd like to see Peyton win, but I doubt I'll watch much of the "Small Game". It does end up being much smaller than the hype these days as alluded to above. Hopefully Scam gets put in his proper place, on the playing surface, early and often.

I think this is the only way they win besides fumbles by running backs. I can't see Peyton having the ability to dominate the game with precision passing anymore. I hope a Panther win doesn't start a coronation of Cam as the greatest qb of all time. The media is planting the seeds for this narrative.

I don't plan to watch the "Pooper Bowl" unless one of my sons really wants to (do so). I cannot stand all the manufactured hype, DWF "mania" & cultmarx soaked advertisements.

Anybody watch the Pro Bowl yesterday? I didn't think so. I have little interest in the Super Bowl this year, the only good that can come out of it is a great day by Peyton Manning. And if that happens, the cameras will linger long and hard at the white guys on the Panthers defense. Best case scenario on defense for the Broncos is if the Panthers decide to double up Miller and Ware and Wolfe is able to roam free in the Panthers backfield.

The Broncos just need to collapse the pocket with a pash rush and keep a spy on scam - either forcing him into errant throws or minimizing the amount of yards he picks up on the ground. I think Denver is going to do its best to control the game running the ball and playing strong defense. Manning's mind is going to be their best asset as he will make audibles at the line of scrimmage. I think Manning has realized his ability is a shadow of what it was physically, he won't force the ball, will make good decisions and probably utilize the short passing game. I am really hoping Manning goes out on top and rides off into the sunset - probably the best QB to ever play the game. If I recall the Patriots were not favored last year and they took home the championship.

As for the Pro Bowl - no way in hell I would watch that clown fest.

I don't want to see Newton win so I'm hoping the Broncos win. Newton winning will just advance the black supremacist agenda.

Best cast scenario: Manning plays well, Kuechly plays well, Newton plays badly and the Broncos win. It's not out of the realm of possibility.

That was the much whiter version of Denver so it really stung and it was a horrible game to watch. This one should be better as the defenses are good which usually prevents blow outs.

The only positive aspects of Cam Newton’s existence is that he exclusively dates black women and was the first black QB since Donovan McNabb back in 2007-2008 to produce a white 1,000-yard receiver (Kevin Curtis)…

In fact, Newton is the only black QB to have a white 1,000-yard receiver on two occasions (Olsen in 2014/2015 and 2015/2016). Aside from Newton and McNabb, the only other black QB to ever throw to a white 1,000-yard receiver was Steve McNair, who only played in 8 games in 2004 when WR Drew Bennett had his breakout campaign (white QB, Billy Volek, played the other 8 games)…

As much as I loathe his highly-juvenile antics, Newton making Olsen into a star TE (348 catches, 548 targets, 4,311 yards, 29 TDs through 5 seasons with Newton) should count for something, right?

It seems that the “best case scenario” for this Superblack Superbowl is for the white TE’s (Olsen and Daniels) to shine, Wolfe/Kuechly/Allen/Kline/Jones to make plays on defense and special teams, Newton to make the “big mistake” at the end (ala Russell Wilson’s satisfying goal line INT to Malcolm Butler) and for Manning’s ultra-black squad to prevail.

It's good to not be paying attention to the media hype, because it's all about sCam Newton. The slobbering coverage is ridiculous. Sure, he's done very well since about the halfway point this season. His first half numbers were average to worse, and the rest of his career has been nothing to get excited about, but he's now the "future of the league" and could be the "greatest of all time". Really, that's pretty much all that the media coverage is.

Here we have Peyton Manning, who is one of the all-time greats, and whose accomplishments are probably outside of sCam's wildest dreams on the other side and all of the interviews with him are just questions about a. "How good is sCam? He's great, right?" and b. "When are you going to retire already? We need to get rid of you old white guys!"

In that Super Bowl, there was not much to watch. Like Don notes, prior to that game the vast majority of posters expressed displeasure with both teams, with Denver only getting the nod because of having white skill players.

This game has a couple of white tight-ends and QB Manning at skill positions and that's about it. Carolina is starting Allen and Kuechly on defense with A.J. Klein in for about half of the defensive snaps. Wolfe starts on defense as the lone cracka in Denver D. Not much to get excited about this game. Hoping that Manning pulls out a win with Kuechly having a great game on defense anyway, and sCam Newton being the goat. And not goat as in G.O.A.T.

I think it will be a close game. Denver's defense just happens to be better. If Manning can attack the seams they will succeed. Carolina's weakest link are the safeties.

It seemed Denver was more white then that. Besides Manning and Decker, who played in all of the offensive snaps, as did Guard Zane Beadles, Welker played in almost all of the snaps, Tamme saw a little action, Mitch Unrein was in for a 3rd of the plays at DT, and backup center Steve Vallos played a quarter of the time. Not much but also not too bad for the NFL and a lot better then the current version of the Broncos. Certainly at the time a world better then the guys on the other side of the field.

I came across a nice article today about the practice squad receiver who worked with Peyton over the last couple of months. Manning has nothing but great things to say about him. Of course here at CF, former Rice QB-turned-WR Jordan Taylor is no mystery. He has size, speed, and had excellent production in college, yet was a UDFA and has to toil away for peanuts on the practice squad while other-worldly talent like Bennie Fowler, Jordan Norwood and Cody Latimer are on the SB roster. Here's a kid that could be a bigger, taller version of Julian Edelman, but like Edelman will probably have to serve years of racial apprenticeship and even then probably will never get a chance. Such is life for a skill position honky in the NFL.

I saw that article as well FootballDad. I thought it was a great gesture from Manning. I think if Peyton was the Peyton of old he would of went to the coaching staff to tell them to elevate Taylor from the practice squad during the season. Peyton seems to have always looked out for his own to an extent.

For Taylor hopefully this publicity is a positive thing and it only helped his development as a player by practicing with Peyton.

As for the SuperBowl - Thomas Davis broke his arm in the championship game and he will play on Sunday - I hope the Broncos attack him early and often.
