The article is good, and very blunt, but always mentions RG3's WR's as the reason for his Baylor success, not the system and the rest of the team. Since Griffin has left Baylor, and those above mentioned receivers have gone on to the NFL, Baylor has not missed a beat. Nick Florence had stats every bit as good as Griffin's last year, and Bryce Petty has thrown 30 TDs against only 2 picks all year.

Florence opted to forego an NFL career, but if he had declared, he would have been a late-round pick at best. Petty might do better, but we'll see after his senior season.

True. RG3 was a system QB like a lot of QBs under Art Briles are, but I did not realize that Josh Gordon, Terrence Williams and Kendall Wright were RG3's WRs. All three of those have become successful NFL receivers and all three of them were drafted in the first 3 rounds.

Dwid scam is doing the same things he has done the past few seasons. His productivity is down. It is the defense that is keeping them in games and responsible for their turn around. Newton just benefits from the black qb hype. He has not carried a team on his back like Andrew Luck has done.

$cam is McNabb at best. Robert Griffin III is Michael Vick without dog fighting. Maybe, just maybe, Wilson is another Moon. Rinse, repeat.

yea, I realize this, but dwfs have been brainwashed so much by the analysts that Newton is going through his progressions this year, its hard to get it through their skulls.

They see Brees check down to a back after going through his reads and see Newton throw to a back and think its the same thing, maybe because it took Newton slightly longer to make the checkdown with the excuse "don't think he is in Brees/Brady/Manning category with passing, but close, and that combined with his athleticism makes him a super star". In that same time period Brees has looked off Meachem, Colston, Moore, and Graham, in some particular order, or a variation of some of the other receivers like Stills, Graham is the first read on a lot of plays now when before it was Colston, depending on the route combo they call. They like to run Meachem or Stills deep, usually gaining no separation and then throw to Graham. Moore (who shouldn't be there, that should be Hass in the spot) has been invisible since his 1 1k season. So if those guys are covered its a dump off to Sproles or Thomas, depending on who is in there, sometimes Ingram but he can't catch, thats why I think we have seen an increase in Jed Collins getting receptions. He has 11 receptions on 13 targets, Ingram has 3 receptions on 7 targets. And they had the nerve to say Gerhart wouldn't be an asset in the passing game like Ingram when the dude was an outfielder. He has 77 career catches compared to 20, he has one more year but we all no of his limited snap counts.

anyway, taking longer, you see Cam stare down his number 1 read, probably sit there and decide if he should run, and if not he will throw it to Olsen or a back, if he isn't getting sacked. Now the Saints have a guy in sack leader column because Cam kept stepping back when the line created a perfectly good pocket, textbook, step right into the rush instead of stepping up.

thats why i said he figured out how to go through it somewhat, in the David Garrard style. 8 games and no one could stop it, the defense must have been playing really good. All you had to do was dare him to throw deep. I guess it took a high power offense. 3 downs to get 12 yards resulting in an 8 minute drive leading in a field goal was not going to keep up with Brees pumped up after the Seahawks loss (who sadly showed us what the Saints receiver talent level really was), which is why they should have kept Hass, or tried to grab a White receiver since then. None of those guys are great, except Graham, who looked scared against a physical defense unlike a White tight end.

Does anybody have an opinion on the REAL reason Shanahan is benching the Turd? I honestly cannot figure this one out. Is it because he believes Cousins is and always was a better option than Griffin, and he wants to prove this once and for all? There's no way its because he believes Griffin is injured and wants to rest him for next season--not buying that excuse for a second.

Shanahan's public stance is that it's to protect Griffin from potential injury in these upcoming meaningless games. People close to Shanahan have allegedly said it's because Griffin's poor play though.

Griffin's media worshippers are like Tiger's, they just can believe their hero sucks, the "good old days" are always just around the corner.

ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi calls Robert Griffin III's offseason "underwhelming." Grossi did add that RGIII has looked "very healthy," and "physically like the old Robert Griffin." Grossi's words come 11 days after ESPN's Pat McManamon said Griffin's Browns tenure has thus far lacked for "wow" moments. The offseason is where molehills become mountains, but it's certainly eyebrow raising when a player with Griffin's physical gifts doesn't light up padless practices.

Anything to delegitimize ESPN, I hope the SJW double down on their Griffith hype. Of course they could care less about blacks in general or even Griffith but anything to put a finger in whitey's eyes.

Message to ESPN; I don't care

BSPN was so wrong about him and they refuse to do anything except push him as an elite player even after losing the starting job and not looking great on his new team. The excuses will keep coming.

Robert Griffin will fail in Cleveland, just as he did in Washington. He can't stay healthy. He's been injured every year he's been in the league, including his last year, when he was injured in the preseason.
