Culliver (knee) was released by the Redskins on Monday.

Culliver signed a four-year, $32 million deal with the Redskins just last offseason, but made only six appearances for Washington prior to suffering a torn ACL and MCL during a November practice. Not only is Culliver a high-priced veteran coming off an injury, but the Redskins also drafted cornerback Kendall Fuller in the third round, and made a huge splash by adding All-Pro corner Josh Norman recently as well. Given those considerations, the 27-year-old Culliver was made expendable and will now look to land elsewhere prior to the season.

He never had ball skills in college, and that certainly translated to the NFL. Dumb Redskins' for giving him that contract.

The Ravens will not pick up the fifth-year option on Elam's (biceps) rookie contract, the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec reports.

The 32nd overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Elam struggled mightily through his first two seasons, then missed all of 2015 with a torn biceps. He should be healthy for training camp but will likely just compete for a backup role. The Ravens signed Eric Weddle to start at one safety spot, and they're expected to test out converted cornerback Lardarius Webb at the other.

Bjoern Werner signed with Jacksonville and will be back to playing as a 4-3 end. The colts terribly misused him and wrote him off. It was frustrating to see but hopefully Werner sticks in Jacksonville.

Werner's only season as a full time starter was in 2014, where he posted 50 tackles, 4 sacks, and a forced fumble.
Not great, but decent. Similar stat line to 2015 first rounders Bud Dupree and Vic Beasley.
I guess, not good enough for the Colts, who turned around and signed Trent Cole at a price tag of $8 million per year. and here's what 33 year old Cole did in 2015: 32 tackles, 3 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.

So you could develop Werner, a young player that you spent a first rounder, only coming at a cost of around $2 million per year, at most. Instead, you bring in the aging veteran Cole, clearly in decline, pay him $8 million per year, and receive less production.
Colts then respond by cutting Werner, and keep the high-priced Cole, who will head into 2016 as the favorite to start at OLB.

Any lurking DWFs, please explain the reasoning on this one. Is it stupidity, or perhaps an ulterior motive?

In spite of his measurables, production when given a chance, and his obvious upside (is it possible to use that word with a white guy?), he had the misfortune of playing for the Colts who do not play crackas on defense. His lack of melanin was clearly a barrier to him being a good player. Cole has plenty of color so he's easily the superior player because we all know that blacks are far more athletic than whites. Just ask any cheetos-munching, beer-guzzling couch-potato DWF who looks in a mirror to verify this last statement.

Did Dee Milliner really run a 4.34 & Jordy Nelson a 4.52 at NFL Combines?? You'd never know it looking at this....Nelson just coast the final 20 yards ....shouldn't Milliner be able to run him down?

Also mega bust Stephen Hill was cut by the Panthers. The Jets made this all-upside afrolete a very high pick thinking they'd find the next Calvin Johnson. Think how many White wideouts were better than this guy but were never afforded any opportunity.

If I recall correctly, the Jets traded up to take Hill high in the 2nd round. Hill caught 28 whole passes his last year in college but he had "that upside." What a joke.

Meanwhile a superior and far more productive receiver, Tyler Shoemaker, went undrafted and never got a fair chance. Shoemaker was white.

Such a deal. Clearly they're banking on the first round bust realizing his limitless upside sometime within the next four years:

"We’ve seen what he’s capable of and we’re hoping we’re going to get a lot more than what we’ve seen in the past," Fisher said. "He’s very, very talented with the ball in his hands. He is a problem to defend against and we hear that week after week after week." To Fisher's point, Austin did chip in 434 rushing yards last season, and he has three punt-return touchdowns in his career. While the price tag was steep, the Rams had to keep their only weapon in the passing game. Austin is a nice pick at his 11th-round ADP.

Even assuming Hunter has that great "upside," so many affletes are greatly lacking in intelligence and motivation.

Buccaneers waived TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Cameron Brate and Luke Stocker will be the Bucs' tight ends the rest of the way. The 38th overall pick in the 2014 draft, Seferian-Jenkins was known to have drinking problems at the University of Washington and was popped for DUI on Friday morning, leading to his release. Some team will undoubtedly give the 24-year-old another chance, but Seferian-Jenkins will eventually face a suspension from the NFL. ASJ's loss is a blow to Jameis Winston's fantasy outlook. Seferian-Jenkins at least had potential, and the Bucs have gotten very little from their complementary pass catchers behind Mike Evans.
