RR and FD thanks for the updates on the recent signings. I composed the list last week, but posted it earlier today and missed the pair. So that brings the total to 10 current Practice Squad wide receivers, which is not terrible for this Caste league. Number of P-Squad defender's is still at an embarrassingly low 11, even with Jacksonville signing the LB from Northern Illinois....FD, this time around (as opposed to 2013) I decided to leave out TE's, OL's and QB's. Those are not Caste positions and based on my scan of all 32 Practice Squad's, whites are fairly represented at all three positions, which is no surprise to CF members.

It's insane that Thielen sat on the practice squad for all of 2013 and wasn't a starter until 2016. Examples like this are why I come to Caste Football.

Good point, ramicackle. I think what's even more stunning, is Adam Thielen and blocking fullback Patrick DiMarco are the only two white Practice Squad players from 2013 to have notable (Pro Bowl level) NFL careers -- out of about 90 I listed. There are a few others that were briefly starters (Will Compton) or are currently considered "average starters" (Remmers and Devey) at non-Caste positions. And there are a handful of Goys still floating around as special teamer's/ backups (Cody Davis, Derek Carrier), but the vast majority are gone. Long gone!

Former Michigan defensive end Craig Roh is the only name I currently recognize from the CFL -- Hamilton Ti-Cats star receiver Luke Tasker was in that class, but never spent a day on a NFL P-Squad. Also, I don't recognize (at first glance) any of the white 2013 Practice Squad players listed as being affiliated with the AAF or XFL. If I were to guess, there are likely dozens of black 2013 Practice Squad players still floating around in the CFL or getting ready to play XFL, or played briefly in the AAF. Don't forget a significant percentage of these players are still under the age of 30.

Kind shows a difference between blacks and whites? NFL players make so much money, that possessing a 53 man roster spot in the NFL is tantamount to winning a lottery. Players in these fringe leagues do not make anywhere close to that. Very telling that whites, perhaps wanting avoid more body injuries or brain damage, just move onto "real jobs", once the NFL dream is over. Meanwhile, blacks will keep exposing their bodies and brains to irreversible injuries, for very little pay, years after they were rejected by the NFL?

Just like with guys like Ryan Nall, Zach Zenner and many others at every position. We will never know what could have been? Christian McCaffrey could have easily be in the same position. At
least one of our guys was treated fairly. Even with him though he wasn't used much his rookie year. Last year and this season has been alot better. Thank God he is tearing it up. Maybe little by
little we can witness some cracks in the dam of this caste system.

WL, one of the saddest parts of the "Caste System" is we'll never actually know who the great white tailbacks and receivers could have been? In the 1990's SI had an article regarding this topic and ex-Packers (Jewish) GM Ron Wolf believed most of the top white wide receivers were actually playing soccer. I do not believe that. I think baseball and lacrosse pick off more potential white receivers, safeties and linebackers. My guess is hockey will also start getting more as the NHL has seen an uptick in talent from Southern and Western U.S. states.

Example, earlier in this decade both the New York Mets and New York Yankees called up prospects that had broken Len Dale White's state of Colorado rushing records. Both faced each other in inter-league games. For the Yankees it was a little used infielder named Kevin Russo, who only played in a handful of MLB games. For the Mets it was a better prospect, Kirk Nieuwenhuis. He was an excellent outfielder and base runner. Great athlete, had light tower power. Was even the first Met to hit 3 HR's in a game in Queens (vs. Arizona). But too many strikeouts and the inability to hit the curve ball caught up with him. After several years in the majors and longer stints in the minors, he was released by Tacoma (AAA) at 31 in 2018?

Looking back, football was probably Nieuwenhuis' and Russo's better sport, but as running backs, the door was likely closed (slammed shut!) early to both?

These are just a few examples, I'm sure there are 1,ooo's more who were good enough to play in the NFL, but never even played a down of college football, because they chose other sports or stopped competing altogether.

Don't forget, J.J. Watt, I believe, began his career as a 4th string tight end at Central Michigan, then walked on at Wisconsin. No one wanted him out of high school. He could've easily walked away from the sport, frustrated, well before he even played a down of college football. Also, how about the "one in a million" story of Chris Hogan, 4 year lacrosse star at Penn State, who miraculously became a high-profile NFL outside wide receiver after a brief stop as a safety at Monmouth College in New Jersey?

Some good news on the Practice Squad front: Cleveland has just promoted Porter Gustin to their 53 man roster. Gustin, who was recently added to their Practice Squad, will become the teams' 2nd white defender this season. DT Ryan Bee was added to the Washington Redskins active roster today. Also, Andrew Van Ginkel was activated from injured reserve (Dolphins) this week. Rookies Gustin, Bee and Van Ginkel should all make their NFL debuts this weekend. DT Joey Ivie Kansas City Chiefs (

*** Ourlads.com is listing Codey McElroy as a wide receiver, not a tight end -- as most sources do. During the pre-season he was listed as a 250 pound tight end. He's now lasted as a 225 pound wide receiver. Never played high school football. He played 3 sports at four different colleges and is a former minor league baseball player . He was also a member of Oklahoma State's basketball team for one season. McElroy will turn 27 in a few weeks, so he will either be another Chris Hogan or will disappear into sports obscurity soon due to his age?

Since your last update Gehrig Dieter was promoted to the active roster from the P squad for the Chiefs. Managed to get in for 3 snaps his first game back.

Even though I routinely ignore practice squad players which seems to me most of the time a road to nowhere I appreciate the news that S Chris Johnson has been given at least a life line of sorts. You know me all too well and my love for ultra athletic white defenders and Chris Johnson fits that bill to a tee. Hoping for the best .

In the old days (60's and 70's) stud white safeties were a staple in the NFL. They were all rangy like Johnson. What do we have now? Mainly clueless black no talents getting burned like toast with the tackling techniques of grandmothers.

Cleveland has gone out and chased some high profile stars. But the reality is Dorsey's issue is he prefers having all black teams. Usually that doesn't help build a culture -- at least not in the long term. He should just ask his fellow, ex-NFL linebackers Jack Del Rio and Jim Hasslet how that worked out for them in places like Oakland and New Orleans? Dorsey is the ultimate Trojan-horse. Tall, burly ex-NFL linebacker with short blondish hair and blue/green eyes. You're average DWF probably thinks he's the epitome of a military-styled tough, no-nonsense GM that doesn't take sh!t from anyone! Reality is, he just the opposite: An enabler of fools and jackals: Dorsey was a spoiled rich kid growing up. He's the Gentile step-son of a liberal Jewish, 10 year ex-Governor of Maryland (Marvin Mandel) and a lefty mom. His family history probably explains who he is better than anything. In his mind, he probably thinks he's a Father Flanigan or White Shadow type, helping wildly-gifted, yet misunderstood Youff's (sic) like Beckham, Hunt and Greg Robinson.......So, outside of Baker at quarterback, expect this club to bleed whites in the near future. Don't be surprised if they eventually resemble the Holmgren/Favre era Packers -- white star quarterback; total of about 4 white starters -- mostly guards/centers. Hopefully former Pro Bowl linebacker Joe Schobert survives the inevitable racially cleansing in Ohio.

I typed all the above in posts regarding Cleveland's ultra-Caste GM just a month ago, as I figured he was trying to build the blackest team in NFL history -- or at least since Del Rio's 2017 Raiders? But after that ugly game when Myles Garrett swung his helmet at Pittsburgh's young quarterback, something might have changed?....After the incident, even Cleveland's caste media has blamed the GM for assembling a team with a toxic culture and the unthinkable is happening in Cleveland -- team is playing in front of 1,000's of empty seats. Since Dorsey arrived, the team has shed most of their token white defenders (Nassib, Vallejo, Zettel, ect.), except Joe Schobert coming off a Pro Bowl season. Also, earlier this year they had all (4) black tight ends. Even the lone white fullback (Vitale) was chased off by Dorsey. Not counting kicker, punter and long-snapper, Cleveland was down to 7 whites (2 QB's, 3 OG's, 1 OC and Schobert) this season.

Suddenly, Cleveland is adding whites. What gives, here? Last week they promoted defensive end Porter Gustin to their 53 man roster, not long after adding him to the practice squad. This week, they rescued defensive tackle Justin Zimmer from Atlanta's practice squad and added him to the their active roster. Cleveland also added rookie tight end Stephen Carlson recently and he is making an impact. Also promoted another white guard, Drew Forbes, teams 6th round pick. They also added "athlete" Eric Dungey to their practice squad. Dungey, a quarterback at Syracuse, had been unemployed most of the fall.

Excluding "specialists", Cleveland has gone from only 7 whites to 11 in just a few weeks. This is nothing earth-shattering, but perhaps this could be the start of changing times? As much as Dorsey hates whites, he might be realizing if he doesn't change the mix, he could follow in the footsteps of Jack Del Rio, who was fired due to a “toxic” environment in Oakland.

P.S: As I first noted back in February, the usually very Caste Arizona Cardinals seemed to becoming a little less hostile towards whites. That continued through the draft and into this season. The other day, Arizona even promoted defensive end Kylie Fitts and linebacker Tanner Vallejo from their practice squad and added bulked up, tall wide receiver (aka tight end) Dan Arnold via waivers. Despite all these moves (including adding Zach Zenner), they are as odious as ever. Basically all 9 (or so) whites that they have lined up on defense this year have been relegated to backup/special teams coverage. And as Shadowlight has noted many times, their usage (or lack of it) of Andy Isabella has been inexplicable?

This week in order to sign scrub RB Spencer Ware and a scrub DB, the Chiefs waived Patrick Mahomes best friend, Gehrig Dieter. No surprise, being white he easily cleared waivers and was re-signed to the Chiefs practice squad. I suspect at some point he will be brought back up to the active roster, but he will never get significant field time with Fat Bastard’s Chiefs. Even with the starting QB as your best bud.

Thanks for update, FD. Personally, I would've preferred if Kansas City had signed Kal-ergi Man's other best friend (from college) Dylan Cantrell. As he seems to have more upside potential than any of their practice squads goys. Cantrell, by the way, has been wasting away on the Chargers injured reserve. Some bad news for Shadowlight, Chris Johnson stay on the Eagles practice squad was very brief. The other day he was in Buffalo, auditioning for the Bills practice squad?

Since my last update, November 22nd, several players have been promoted to active rosters. Three notable ones yesterday**. With the season winding down, NFL teams are placing players on IR that have minor injuries and promoting P-Squad players. This locks the players up for next season. Expect more to be promoted by Christmas Day.

Updated Notes: Nick Bosa and David Mayo (Cut, signed by N.Y. Giants) where the only two white defenders the San Francisco 49ers have had on their 90 man roster this season. So, unfortunately, the recent signings of Jacob Thieneman and Joey Alfieri is big news, from a Caste perspective......Brady Sheldon's promotion was due to DE Anthony Zettel being released....I removed DE Mitch Loewen (New Orleans) from the list, as he has apparently been moved to Tight End. Detroit finally signed a white defender to their active roster today, DT Jamie Meder, who was a street free agent.....Tanner Vallejo was placed on injured reserve today, undoubtedly due to a minor injury, in order to clear a roster spot for an afflete. That's the bad news for him. Good news, is he gets two more full NFL game checks, before he's (likely) cleansed from the league for good.....Spencer Schnell spent one day on Tampa's practice squad. He was promoted today. Schnell had 7 receptions for 119 yards in the Bucs first pre-season game, basically only playing the 4th quarter.

Just updated the first list I posted earlier, as Tampa Bay has added another white wide receiver to their roster: 27 year old Codey McElroy. During the pre-season he was listed as a 250 pound tight end. He's now listed as a 225 pound wide receiver. Never played high school football. He played 3 sports at four different colleges and is a former minor league baseball player . He was also a member of Oklahoma State's basketball team for one season. Assuming McElroy is not being signed as a tight end (he's listed at WR), the Bucs will have 3 white receivers Sunday, even after placing their speedy white rookie on injured reserve the other day!

Number of white defensive players on Practice squads went up 50% since I posted at 2:15 pm today. Went from six to nine. LB Sutton Smith (Seattle), LB Joe Dineen (Jacksonville) and FS Chris Johnson (New Orleans) were all added today

Spencer Schnell was promoted after his first day on an NFL Practice Squad today. Hopefully that trend continues with some of the defenders.

This morning I noticed that neglected WR David Sills ( see above) was promoted to the Giants. I will be watching their game against the Redskins Sunday although I don't think we know if he actually sees the field. I hope so. I think most if us here had him graded as an NFL talent and starter material. I think we are all aware of the precarious state of the white wide receiver these days with the rookies this year etc. and the desert like outlook from college these days. It would be nice if Sills can flash and give us some damn hope for the future. Not going to be easy though.

Thanks for all the practice squad updates Truthteller. Honestly I have never paid attention to practice squads but you are right I am befuddled as to why super athlete safety Chris Johnson keeps getting moved around like some driftwood. Oh sure. Those black bungling and befuddles safeties we see every week in the NFL are so damn good. Give me a stinking break.

Shadowlight, I posted last week Eli has only one completion to a white receiver (Brandon Stokley, 7 yards) during his entire 16 year career. With that said, if Sills does play, hopefully Daniel Jones comes back from his nagging injuries. Prior to Sills signing, I was hoping he'd sit the last two games in order to protect him from aggravating the injury he already has. It would be great to see these rookies start something that can last.......Additionally, it's amazing how quickly Sills' draft stock plummeted. Take into consideration, also, the ridiculous stats he posted as a junior and senior at WVU. Here's an excerpt from a very long NFL.com article a week prior to the 2019 NFL Combine:
Other than a limited foundation of experience, there is plenty for NFL scouts to like. At 6-foot-4 and 203 pounds, he's thin but wiry strong, with long arms and what Mountaineers QB Will Grier calls a "ridiculous catch radius."

If Sills' testing results at the NFL Scouting Combine next week match what he's shown WVU strength and conditioning coach Mike Joseph, he'll broad jump 10-4, vertical jump 34 inches, and run a 40-yard dash in the low 4.5s -- all impressive marks given his size. Joseph used to be part of Notre Dame's S&C staff and sees athletic similarities between Sills and former Fighting Irish star WR Jeff Samardzija.....

Then, there is the ceiling factor. Sills' lack of experience as a receiver is, to WVU coach Dana Holgorsen, a potential strength where his NFL future is concerned....."As good as he is, I think he's so far from what he could be," Holgorsen said. "He does things naturally, but as far as technique, he was behind last year. I'm not sure he really knew what he was doing, but he was catching touchdowns."

Thank you, Shadow. You are correct, little good comes (percentage wise) from players that have spent any time on practice squads. Very few become eventual starters, particularly whites at Caste positions. As you can see from the first post in this thread (2013) Adam Thielen is a huge outlier. My main reason for updating this is to expose the paucity of defensive players NFL teams have in their "pipeline", whether it be practice squads or street free agents. Yesterday, prior to the 3 new Goys signing, there was a staggering total of 6 white defenders on practice squads. Out of probably 145 (or more) practice squad defensive players? That's simply stunning. Again, exposing the degree of discrimination against white defenders is my greatest motive for updating the list.

P.S: Tampa is officially listing former minor league baseball player and Oklahoma State basketball player Codey McElroy as a tight end, not wide receiver. Considering the Caste system is very real and he's only 27, that's probably the chance he has to have any kind of NFL career and accumulate some valuable U.S. Shekels, even as a backup.

Great news on Sills. I am personally hoping that the Giants keep Shurmur/Gettleman around for one more year just to stabilize the team a little and help in Daniel Jones development.

Sills not getting drafted was one of the biggest caste system moves of the recent past especially considering his great production and the fact he had only played WR for two full seasons at the FBS level. I compare him to JJ Arcega Whiteside who has been a non-factor this year for the Eagles even though they have been ridiculously thin at the receiver position all year. Arcega-Whiteside was a 2nd round pick while Sills had to go the UDFA route - it will be interesting to see if Sills gets meaningful playing time in the last two games or if he is just a WSTD body.

That's a good comparison as far as size and perceived strengths. Arcega Whiteside was drafted in the second round and then received all kinds of training camp hype expecting him to have a big rookie season. . . and he's been really bad and isn't contributing at all even now after the Eagles lost all the receivers ahead of him on the depth chart. Plus he has one of those long annoying names that no one likes to pronounce or write.

Sills would be producing at a "surprising" rate for Philly had he been playing instead of Arcega Whiteside. Hopefully Sills eventually gets a chance instead of being one of the many talented White receivers who kick around the furthest margins of the NFL for a while before disappearing from the league altogether.

NFL has bloated Practice Squads thanks to virus "protocols" and concerns. Practice Squads have basically doubled since 2019. And they are open to everyone. Used to be just young wannabe's, with limited NFL experience. Now they include sure fire, older Hall of Famers like Adrian Peterson, who refuse to retire or simply need the money.

Even with expanded Practice Squads rosters, things are looking bleak for white defensive players. With close to 600 Practice Squad spots available, white defenders are almost extinct, if you factor out the Rams, Chargers and Vikings. Those teams have a total of 9 white defenders.

Also, if you factor out the very small group of older whites (C. Hansen, J. Simon and J. Mauro) who have been bouncing back and forth on 53 man rosters, things are stunningly bad: Young white defenders on Practice Squads of 29 NFL teams.

DL Bill Murray New England Patriots

LB Niko Lalos New York Giants
logo_thumb_NYG.gif

So, those 29 teams have about 496 Practice Squad spots currently filled between them, but only room for 2 white defensive prospects? Other three teams (LAR, LAC and Minn) have 9 combined (51 spots)?

It is sickening. While there seems to be an uptick in white Practice Squads wide receivers, white PS defensive players have seemingly disappeared.

I followed AAF, XFL and Spring League a bit the last couple years and the same pattern is obvious. Seems every team has at least one or two white wide receivers, but defensive players are surprisingly rare. White DB's are just about extinct in these fringe leagues. I think between the AAF and XFL there was only one non-black DB -- same White/Eurasian (Hanneman from BYU?) played in both leagues.

Some bad news: There's probably been well over 700 players that spent time on Practice Squads this year. So likely 360, or so, defensive players? Just 4 white DB's. Stunningly unfair!

Some good news? All four white DB's made the NFL. Three (Ben DeLuca, Zayne Anderson and Brady Breeze) will likely finish the season in the NFL. Only Jake Gervase is still relegated, although he was up for a cup of coffee last two years with the Rams.
