I remember hearing years ago Peyton grew up a Miami Dolphins fan. If a chain of events leads to his becoming a free agent and his arm regains strength, I would not rule out the possibility of Peyton in a Dolphins uniform. Of course, Matt Flynn may be a target of Miami's especially with Philbin as the new head coach. Either scenario may be a positive for Brian Hartline. Hold on, maybe not. Just went back to and noticed this paragraph from the following article: “The receiver and running back may be a little different than what we’ve looked at in the past,â€￾ Ireland said. “I’m listening to the head coach to find the right type of player to be the most productive in his offense.â€￾

I've been following articles that mention Hartline this offseason, and surprisingly the majority of them are positive. He did lead the team in yards per catch for the third straight season, and was second on the team in yardage in 2011 even though his receptions total was low. He's their only big play receiver although most DWFs and many writers will never acknowledge it because he's White. Hartline has been one of the favorite players in the league for DWFs to hate on since the day he was drafted. Nevertheless a fair amount of observers who cover the Dolphins recognize his strengths.

Miami's had the worst offense in the league the past two seasons as far as redzone passing TDs, though Moore was a bit of an upgrade over Henne. If they sign a healthy Manning and Hartline keeps his job I can see him putting up numbers comparable to Pierre Garcon if not better. He won't reach the level Austin Collie did the first half of 2010 because Brandon Marshall is now the leading prima donna receiver in the league who will pout and whine on and off the field if the ball isn't thrown to him a certain amount of times whether he's open or not. In fact it would be interesting to see how Manning interacts with Marshall if Peyton ends up in Miami.

Chris Mortensen is reporting that the Colts are going to cut Peyton.

the results of this move, should it prove true, could have vast ramifications, not only for Indy but also for whomever signs Manning via free agency.

should Manning return to full health, he can literally carry a team on his back (see the Colts with/without him taking snaps) and instantly turns a team into a contender. furthermore, what does such a move mean for the franchise he left behind? (i personally feel that Indy is bound to go downhill fast now that the "front office" purged perhaps the best evaluator of offensive talent and least-anti-White front office man in the NFL.) who will they pick to replace the irreplaceable?

on the flip side, what if Manning turns out to not be himself, and the injury/surgeries are too much to overcome? whomever signs him is out a boatload of money, even though they've got a terrific leader. but if he can't play ...

the plot twists from this soap opera are far from over, i suspect.

Yes it's official the Colts have released Manning. It will be interesting to see where he goes. Houston would be good, it would possibly make them the team to beat.

He really needs to pick someone where he won't be sacked a lot, considering his neck situation.

Unfortuinately this might mean the end of the white friendly Colts. It has always been obvious to me that a football team can only play White skill guys if they are successful. If they are losing then fans, media and other caste whores cry for more SPEED!! MORE SPEED!! which is just another way of saying GET BLACK PLAYERS THAT'S WHAT I'M USED TO SEEING!!!

With Manning gone there will be no more experiments with the likes of Blair White. Blair Black maybe, but a rookie QB is going to need "playmakers" (another code word).

Some of those guys that were on personal good terms with Manning, like Collie and Hernandez (is he still there?) will need to plan for a blacker future.

When the Colts fired Bill Polian a couple of months back it all but guaranteed a much blacker team beginning in 2012.

The five teams mentioned the most in recent weeks as wanting Manning are the Dolphins, Redskins, Jets, Cardinals and Seahawks. The Dolphins are the least black of that bunch and they have Brian Hartline, but there are also reports that aging, slow-footed free agent Reggie Wayne will be brought in as part of any deal to intice Peyton, and if that happens with Miami, Hartline would be instantly demoted.

Anyone notice how Peyton's "workout" at Duke included Brandon Stokely, Austin Collie and Dallas Clark? Seems like Peyton is no whigger..and it's no secret who his closest friends on the Colts were.

That said, I doubt he'd go to a team like Arizona, who's black GM has tried to field all black teams (except at QB) for many years and rarely ever drafts any white players (let alone a white receiver or tight end). Who wants to play for that underachieving bunch?...I doubt he goes to Seattle and plays for a sleeze ball like Carroll on a caste team...He probably doesn't go to the Jets, who are loaded with players with "bad attitudes" and "poor work ethics".... In the end he might have to, but that would not be his first choice.

A very fat man that's done a NYC radio show for well over 20 years, has worked at CBS doing big games in studio and has known Archie Manning for decades is reporting Houston is the place the family wants Peyton to land. Matt Shaub has only 1 year left on his deal and is coming off a serious foot injury, thanks to Albert Haynesworth. Texans could go with Peyton and have Yates and Leinart as insurance.

Other reasons Texans make sense:

**Peyton is from New Orleans. Houston is not that far away. Notice in baseball how Andy Pettite, for example, left the Yankees for the Astros a few seasons because he "wanted to go home" and play in front of his family...Pettite is from La.

**Archie played with the Oilers briefly, after he left New Orleans...There he was teammates with Oliver Luck (ex-President of the Houston Dynamo) and is still his friend....Name sound familar? So it's just history repeating itself....Son going to Houston after leaving his original team of many years.

**Peyton, no matter how much he tries to hide it, is absolutely livid and upset at Irsay for kicking him out the door. What better way to gain revenge than by staying in the division? Favre wanted to go to Minnesota the minute he was told he would no long er start...but Ted Thompson would not allow it!

If Manning does land in Houston, this would be great news for all their offensive players -- but Kevin Walter will have a guy that wont purposely phase him out because he doesn't look the part...Maehl might have a chance to make some catches and be, at the very least, a Julian Edleman or Danny Amendola type in the slot...and Daniels, Casey and Dressen will catch like a million balls..

I hope the fat man is correct and he does go to Houston...

I agree that Houston is probably the best place he could end up, but I don't see it happening. But since Schaub is coming off a serious foot injury, maybe the Texans will join the fray. I like Matt Schaub, but I'm not sure if he's Super Bowl caliber or not; he may be just a slight cut beneath that level.

I'd love to see Texans get Peyton...it'll give me more reason to pull for Houston. As for the Colts, I'll keep pulling for Collie & Clark, etc...but NOT for them as a team.

They'll have Luck now, and finally a White coach. They're still a decent team to root for comparatively. I'd say the order would be Patriots/Texans > Colts/Packers, then who cares.

We still have well over a month until the NFL draft. I figure that if all of the draftniks can pool their resources and continue the "RGIII" drumbeat, and if Luck can slip-up and refer to some college co-ed as a "slut" or "prostitute" then the Colts will take Saint Dungy's advice and we will have some supa-affleticism in the Lucas Dome!

Denver has emerged as a serious player for Manning's services. It might work out well -- Tebow could learn from the best (assuming he isn't traded to Jax or somewhere else), and Eric Decker's value should go up quite a bit as it would be surprising if he doesn't become a favorite target of Peyton's. And Denver is a smaller market team, which seems to suit Manning's style. This might be the best team for him after Houston.

Houston is the team Peyton clearly wants to play for, according to all the legit sources in the media that have inside access to his "people". Chris Mortenson, the only talking head on ESPN I like, has said if the Texans "want him", it's a done deal....Problem is they seem to be set on Shaub. I was a little surprised when I looked him up, that he'll be 31 this season -- only 5 years younger than Peyton!

I'll give Shaub credit, he's put him decent numbers and he's definitely a starter in the league. But how can Houston let Peyton slip away, while clinging on to a 31 year old who's never played in a playoff game? Just idiotic...hopefully they'll have a change of heart and get in on the Manning sweepstakes in the next few days. Heck, if PM does get re-injured, they'd still have Yates and Leinart.

Who knows, perhaps the league doesn't want Manning in Houston -- team is too white friendly and they can't have them winning a title, just two years after Green Bay won one?

More bad news on the Shaub front: Seems like Washington's head Lonsman is going back to his old ways -- giving up anything and everything in hopes of finding a black franchise QB. Reports are Dan Synder's Skins will ship their next 3 first rounders (and more) to the Rams for the QB from Baylor...Thinking was, if the Texans signed Peyton, they could ship Matt to Washington for picks. That wont happen anymore, if these rumors are true.

Word here in KC is that Hunt and Pioli are ready to do anything it takes to bring Manning to town. And since KC's cap situation is better than any other team in the league, by a wide margin, the dollar angle is in their favor. Now, as to how Manning, Crennell, and Dabol would mesh is something else altogether. I would imagine that outside of Dwayne Bowe, who actually had a decent season last year, the Chefs are thin and would need to bring in Dallas Clark, among others to make it work with Peyton.

I read today that the Dolphins traded Brandon Marshall and that it's possible Manning is signing with Miami. Manning may have asked the Dolphins to get rid of the prima-donna baby and bring Reggie Wayne in. We will see.

I just posted about the Marshall trade in the Dolphins thread before I saw your post. The NFL Network reported today that Wayne isn't keen on being part of a package deal with Peyton and that he may sign with a team before the Manning sweepstakes is over.

Right now I'd like to see Manning sign with either the Dolphins or Broncos, because of the boost it would give to either Brian Hartline or Eric Decker. Tennessee would be the worst place because it would keep Jake Locker on the bench for at least two more seasons. Houston reportedly isn't interested in signing him.

How much influence does Peyton really have with the Broncos? Dreesen and Tamme are two decent TEs, but what about Dallas Clark? It seems like no one wants him. Why wouldn't Peyton want his familiar, reliable star TE with him?

How about Jeff Saturday? The Broncos have a mediocre center, and Saturday was available. How did Manning not talk him, and the Broncos into agreeing to a deal? I thought they were close friends- was that not true? Strange. And his supposed best friend, Brandon Stokely was rumored to be going to Denver. Why didn't that happen?

But the Broncos did sign nonentity AA hire Andre Caldwell, who will be handed the slot position and look much, much better than he is thanks to Manning. I was hoping they'd give one of the countless unemployed or underutilized massive white receiving talents a chance, but I guess letting Decker play is about as much as anyone can expect.

I would think Peyton would want to reunite with some of his old friends.

Here's an article on Manning leading Denver's offseason workouts, though Andre Caldwell is quoted as saying Manning and Eric Decker are co-leading some, which is significant. In 2010 Austin Collie was the NFL's leading receiver for the first third of the season before being waylaid by concussions. Decker could be just as good if not better this season. He needs to be very aware of head-hunters though. . .

Scrub receiver "takes it personally" that Manning didn't invite him to an offseason workout. Poor baby.

Broncos’ Andre Caldwell upset Peyton didn’t invite him to play

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and Giants quarterback Eli Manning got together recently with some of their receivers for workouts at Duke University, whose head football coach is David Cutcliffe, who coached both Mannings in college. From all accounts it was a good offseason session for all involved.

But at least one player is unhappy he wasn’t invited.

Broncos receiver Andre Caldwell wrote on Twitter that he was upset he didn’t get an invitation to run routes and catch passes from Peyton at Duke, and that he takes it personally.

Andre Caldwell@Acaldwell17
No invite to duke to run routes and catch passes DAMN right I took it personal...#Motivation #StillGrinding

Manning, however, said today that Caldwell shouldn’t take it personally. According to Manning, there wasn’t space at the Duke facility for everyone they would have liked to invite, and so Manning decided to invite his three top receivers: Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker.

“I’m excited to see Bubba’s competitive attitude,” Manning said, calling Caldwell by his nickname. “I hope he’s able to turn that into a productive offseason and has a good season for us this year.”

Perhaps tweeting was the only way for Caldwell to get Manning’s attention: Last year Caldwell didn’t have Manning look his way very often, as he played in eight games and caught one pass.

Nice find, Don. Manning seems interested in building a white dynasty in Denver. His latest comments pertain to brining back Brandon Stokley. If the Broncos brought back Stokley and utilized him in the role Matthew Willis played last season, they’d certainly challenge the 2011 Patriot offense (which featured Brady, Welker, Edelman, Woodhead, Gronkowski, and 4 white OL) as the “whitest” in the past 30 years of NFL football. Denver would feature Decker, Welker, Tamme, Dreessen, Hester, and Stokley all playing at once.

From SBNation…
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning would like Brandon Stokley to re-sign with the Denver Broncos. Stokley said that he does not anticipate rejoining the Broncos after Denver signed Wes Welker earlier this offseason. The addition of Welker has not lowered Manning's desire to retain Stokley, with the quarterback saying, "in a perfect world, I'd like both to be on the team this year."

Manning is treading in dangerous territory. Any implicit favoritism towards Whites is considered dirty filthy racism and punishable in full by the people in power. He is going to have to make serious concessions in an effort to placate the culty marxy crowd. Fortunately, like in Indy he as a front line black receiver and running back. But his obvious preference for White receivers is a base affront to the prevailing thinking (and preaching) of the NFL.

Lucky for Peyton he is a veteran that can pretty much do as he pleases--within limits--so he may be the only guy in football that can buck the trend. I wish him well.

Wherever Peyton Manning has gone has been a haven for white receivers and tight ends. Here is a list off the top of my head…

White TE’s: Ken Dilger, Ben Utecht, Dallas Clark, Ben Hartstock, Tom Santi, Brody Eldridge, Jacob Tamme, Joel Dreessen

CAPTION: Ken Dilger

White WR’s: Ricky Proehl, Brad Pyatt, Brandon Stokley, Anthony Gonzalez, Blair White, Austin Collie, Wes Welker, and Eric Decker

CAPTION: Blair White

As Jaxvid said, given the lucrative contracts he’s received over the years, coupled with the tens of millions in advertising dollars he’s earned, his obvious preference for white receiving targets shouldn’t financially worry Manning. His little twerp brother, Eli, has two Superbowl Championships and has never requested that the Giants sign any white receiving targets.

Peyton also has (at least) three career TD passes to white "tight ends" from audible calls at the goal line - two to Dan Klecko and one to Mitch Unrein. Klecko and Unrein were defensive tackles brought in for spot blocking duty. They stepped back off the line, ran little flat routes, and were magically left wide open.
