Actually, now that I've thought about it for a moment more, it wouldn't surprise me if the Manning deal was already decided weeks ago. The long delay meant that other teams with a need for quarterback had to move ahead with other options. We saw that happen pretty much everywhere, including Jacksonville, leaving Tebow with no landing place. What a brilliant plan that would be. Of course, it would require the type of schemers that engage in such long-term conspiracies. And we don't know any group like that, do we?

Several of these five non-white quarterback situations are subject to change. For instance, should Josh Freeman continue his poor play, he could be replaced by any three of the white QB’s on the roster (Dan Orlovsky, Rudy Carpenter, and Brett Ratliff). Michael Vick is endlessly—injured, 31 years old, and could easily be replaced by white backups Mike Kafka and/or Trent Edwards. Mark Sanchez signed a contract extension, but his poor play could also warrant a benching in favor of white backups Greg McIlroy or Drew Stanton. Cam Newton could regress in 2012, but his undeniably-great rookie season will not soon be forgotten. Given how many draft picks were sacrificed for “RGIII,” it would be quite prudent for Daniel “Super Jew” Snyder to allow him to be the uncontested starter for at least five seasons.

Only four black starting QBs at this point is pretty amazing. Says a lot about how many black busts there have been at the position, though the corporate media will never acknowledge it.

We have to see if Alex Smith re-signs with San Fran. If he goes to Miami, the 49ers may sign Josh Johnson or another black quarterback if they feel Colin Kapernick (another non-white but I'm not sure just what his background is) isn't ready.

Now we get to watch whether Freeman goes backward again in 2012 now that Tampa signed Vincent Jackson, if Newton improves in his second season or goes backward, and how Griffin does as a rookie. I pretty much take it for granted that Vick will be injured for at least part of the season.

The Manning signing should be great for Eric Decker's value. I hope the Broncos keep him on the outside where he clearly belongs with his skill set, but even if he's moved to his "racially appropriate" role as a slot receiver he'll get lots of balls headed his way.

The Broncos also signed Dallas Clark to replace last year's black starter at tight end.

Peyton has known Decker for a while and tried hard to lobby Bill Polian to draft him coming out of college, according to ESPN, so Eric has to be happy beyond belief after becoming totally irrelevant in '11 when Tebow took over for Orton. That was a year after Manning succesfully lobbied Polian to draft Austin Collie in round 4 to play the "slot". Don't forget, most of the Net-based "draft experts" expected Austin and Brian Hartline to be 6th-7th round picks, at best. Colts (and Peyton?) really saved Collie from dropping fast. Peyton also made Blair White look pretty good the one year ('10) they played together.

I believe the Broncos 2011 "slot receiver" Eddie Royal, has signed with another AFC West team or Washington? I think Peyton would like to have his best friend Brandon Stokely, but at like 36 or 37, my guess is Elway will not allow it to happen....Either way, if the postion is open, don't be surprised if the Broncos draft a Danny Coale or Devon Wylie, if Peyton likes their game and more importantly their "work habits and hands".


Expect Jeff Saturday to follow Clark, as Elway will do anything to make Peyton happy. Afterall, signing Peyton was probably the only way the horse-toothed Jack@ss could get rid of Tebow, who he clearly never wanted and did not support. With Chad Henne signing in Jacksonville, it will fascinating to see where Tim lands?

Unless the Boncos unexpectedly sign/draft a few white starters on defense in the next 5 weeks, my guess is they will look a lot like the Colts during Tony Dungy's last few seasons -- a fair amount of whites on offense to support Peyton, but pretty much a coal-black defense.

I think Decker's just as talented as Jordy Nelson, who was one of the top five receivers in the NFL last season despite playing on just 60% of his team's snaps. Decker is very close to Larry Fitzgerald in size, speed, hands (though he developed an unexpected and hopefully temporary case of the dropsies last year), and the ability to grab the ball in the air at its highest point. I feel the same way about Riley Cooper, who unfortunately is still in a bad situation in Philly. If Decker is "allowed" to reach his potential, we could have two dominant outside White receivers in 2012 to go along with Welker, Shipley, Amendola and whatever other White slot guys end up starting. I also expect Brian Hartline to have his best season now that the ball-hogging thug Brandon Marshall is gone from Miami. Of course a lot could change yet in Miami as the Dolphins have been shut out of the free agent market so far.

The Patriots are looking at ex-Redskin free safety LaRon Landry, who was a top 10 pick and seen as a sure-fire NFL super-star coming out of college due to his speed and athletic ability. He's had some good moments in Washington, but in recent years has been inconsistent and too often injured. Recently he posted a picture that might explain why he can't run as fast as advertised (too bulky) and why he might be too often injured -- steriods turning him into a modern day Mark McGwire, who couldn't run 10 feet without popping a hamstring?

Patriots did sign Gregory, as was reported in this thread a few days ago. But it looks like Landry, assuming he doesn't pop a hamstring going out to pick up his mail, will replace Eric Smith. As bad as that is, the girls over at weenieworld are now all gibby over the fact the Jets could move a useless CB to FS, effectively knocking Jim Leonhard off the roster. It appears the Jets rotund leader is fighting for his coaching career...and is going all out to please the DWF's with a more "athletic secondary". My guess is the Jets will be even worse with Cromartie and Landry starting over Leonhard and Smith. If you look at the stats, the Jets defense hasn't been bad the last few years, it's been mostly a problem with "Sanch-ize" and the offense.

The one-year deal suggests teams were awfully leery of Landry's Achilles holding up after eschewing Redskins doctor's advice to undergo surgery. Entering free agency with a nearly bare cupboard at the position, the Jets now have Landry as a hard-hitting strong safety and Antonio Cromartie hinting that a free safety move could be in his future. The next step is to draft a pass-rushing outside linebacker.

And of course the bastards call Decker a slot receiver even after he blew by defensive backfields almost effortlessly last season. If Stokley has something left, it solidifies Decker as an outside starter. Decker, Stokley and Dallas Clark may all be starting for the Broncos, which would be almost identical to what Manning had in Indy, with Decker replacing Collie.

I'm actually pretty happy with Denver signing Manning. It's not good for Tebow, but it was a musical chairs situation with a starting White QB destined to be the odd man out somewhere.

NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reports the Broncos will "likely" sign free agent Brandon Stokley. Stokley said last month he intended to keep playing in 2012, but conceded the odds were "long" he'd find a suitor after making just one catch during a two-game stint with the Giants last season. It appears his old buddy Peyton Manning will be bailing him out, however. With one of the better young slot receivers in the game in Eric Decker already on the roster in Denver, Stokley would be in for an extremely minimal role if he gets the call.

Craig Steltz could start at Safety w Wright...Conte could shift over to CB opposite of Tillman...though the chances are slim..it just might suprise the dwf's if ever allowed!

Riley Cooper can play Safety (played in HS/he's athletic enough) while the Eagles figure out what they want to do with him on offense....their secondary sure could use him.

Happy to see Tommy Z with the Colts! And Steve Gregory with the Patriots...what took these teams so long?? They could see white skill guys excel on offense...why not defense too??

The Seahawks could see that the chances of reaching the playoffs was slim-to-none w Travaris Jackson...Matt Flynn gives them a legit shot.

The Broncos currently have three white receivers on their roster: Eric Decker, Tyler Grisham, and Tim Toone. Stokley would be the 4[SUP]th[/SUP]. Even if Toone and Grisham fail to make the 53-man roster, Eddie Royal signing with Washington now leaves the Broncos with Decker, Thomas, and Stokley as the likely starters. Along with the addition of Dallas Clark at tight end (replacing tubby-boy Daniel Fells); Denver's offense could be very interesting to watch in 2012.

Because they wanted him gone, and this was the easiest way to do it. They will design the offense for Manning and it will not suit Tebow's strengths. Notice how teams with "running qbs" usually have a running qb backup, like in Philly. at 36 Manning is the opposite of Tebow right now. He is mobile in the pocket but his skillset has never been like Tebow. He would better off learning under someone like Aaron Rodgers for a season or two.

He wasn't "horrific" for 3 and 1/2 quarters every week. Sounds like you are regurgitating what has been said by ESPN a million times. He ran the plays that he was given. He wasn't given much variety. They did a lot of zone read and kept it basic (even spread option teams in college run more variety with the zone read), when he threw it was on 3rd and long, and they usually took shots way down the field. No quarterback is going to look good like that, especially when his receivers drop half of the deep shots he takes down the field. The reason why they won in the last quarter wasn't a miracle, it was because they played ball control offense an wore down the other team. Being at a high altitude didn't hurt either. Teams cheated up to the los and the coaches got a little more creative with the play calling.

They have wanted to see Tebow fail, which is why they had it this way. Having him keep the game so close until the very end, as a coach, even if you don't like a player and are trying to find a reason to get rid of him, you are still going to do what it takes to win at the end of a game when things are that close. At least that is what John Fox did. Elway didn't look too happy when they would win though. I don't think they ever expected things to keep that close under those circumstances though.

I watched plenty of his games. He's universally panned for a reason. He routinely flutters passes 15 feet over, under, to the left, and to the right of his receivers. He only threw into single coverage, yet he still only completed 46% of his passes.

His coaches, who worked with him everyday, his teammates, who worked with him everyday, and the beat writers, who saw him everyday, all came to the same conclusion.. he's a scatter-armed QB with zero accuracy. They created the gameplan they did for a reason.. because everyone knew he was simply incapable of helming a pass-heavy offense. I think his supporters subconciously just see what they want to see.

Still we do have a stat that specifically measures all around passing success without even measuring a qb's running ability - in which Tebow was the best in the league. It's called QB rating and Tebow's was better than about 1/2 of the league's qbs. In fact, far better than Elway's rookie year and better than Manning's rookie year.

Again.. seeing what you want to see as opposed to the truth. His passer rating was an abysmal 72.9. It was among the worst in the league, not anywhere near "better than about 1/2 of the league's qbs". It was only better than 6 of the other 33 qualifying QB's.

You also said he was the best running QB in the league. He had 660 yards, at a 5.4 yards per carry clip, and 6 td's. Cam Newton had 706 yards, 5.6 per, and 14 td's on only 4 more carries.

Tim's a handsome guy, a great athlete, a righteous, God-fearing Christian, a great motivator, and winner. He's not a great QB. He's mediocre at best. The very fact that you find it necessary to lie about his accomplishments pretty much proves to me that you personally don't believe he can stand on his own merits.

Look, he may be good in the near or distant future, but this is Big Boy school. There was no reason for the Broncos to be tethered to him and his borderline psychotic fans in the hopes that some semblance of efficient QB play may one day materialize.
