Mostly everything was tight, and between the hashmarks. Tim's better qb rating is pretty much rendered irrelevent due to the differing eras and respective offensive/defensive sets.

In Peyton's last full season, he only ran the ball 18 times. He probably threw the ball away or out of bounds 4 to 8 times a game.. adding 0/8 to his weekly stats (0/128 be season's end?), yet his completion % was still 20 points higher (66%) than Tim's.

yeah it was long before the spread, but those guys were running pro style offenses in college and already familiar with it. They didn't suit the offense to fit Tebow like the Panthers did for Newton. It was the basic zone read. If they were going to play option football why not run the entire playbook, thats what makes it effective in college. If Oregon, Michigan, Auburn etc ran the same exact zone read play with the same read/concept then they would look terrible. They lined up tight quite a bit last year, they didn't have the receivers to run 4 receiver sets effectively and when they did defenses didn't respect those other guys running the routes. Pretty much every rookie qb throws into single coverage, not to many are threading the needle. Elway completed 1 pass his first start. That year 3 teams threw for over 4k and the league average was 3200. Not everyone can come into the league and instantly adjust. It would be like a qb from Navy trying to learn the concepts. They didn't have a full route tree at UF and basically told him to run if the first receiver wasn't open. If he had a hall of famer, two top tight ends and 2 top of 1k rushers with receiving ability and they let him pass on first down with the same passing concepts he used at UF, then he would have had no problem.

so yeah, while they might have used some 4 receiver sets and the zone read, the concept of play calling was basically the same way it was when Elway was a rookie, run run pass on 3rd and long. Yes he has to improve but he wasn't close to being awful. Tavaris Jackson is awful. Tebow could become captain checkdown and have a higher completion rate but just like when Elway was a rookie, they took more shots down the field. This is how Fox has always coached though, I think he could have gotten more out of Delhomme if he would have gotten with the times.

and yeah coaches saw him every day. There were coaches that saw Peyton Hillis every day in practice but when it came time to start, they ran him straight up the gut for the first two games because they didn't think he had the agility to run anything else or quickness/vision to find the cutback lane and be fast enough to still change direction and hit the hole. The 3rd game they threw in some variety. The 4th game is when they finally added all of the running concepts, and surprise! he had 129 yards rushing against one of the top run defenses with 5.8 ypc.

His coaches, who worked with him everyday, his teammates, who worked with him everyday, and the beat writers, who saw him everyday, all came to the same conclusion.. he's a scatter-armed QB with zero accuracy. They created the gameplan they did for a reason.. because everyone knew he was simply incapable of helming a pass-heavy offense. I think his supporters subconciously just see what they want to see.

Yes, what would we all do without all those beat writers telling us how to think? We might even think Jimmer Fredette could play in the NBA. Thank God the "experts" have already determined that he can't play. LOL

Again.. seeing what you want to see as opposed to the truth. His passer rating was an abysmal 72.9. It was among the worst in the league, not anywhere near "better than about 1/2 of the league's qbs". It was only better than 6 of the other 33 qualifying QB's.

Yep, his QB rating did go down after that bad game against Buffalo. Previous to that he spent most of the season in the top ten of QB rating. Still, the 72.9 rating was higher than Elway's rookie year and Peyton Manning's. I sure you have a good excuse for that. Something about the spread offense that the Denver offense didn't run anyway. You have a wonderful gift of connecting two things that are completely unrelated. Nice job. LOL

You also said he was the best running QB in the league. He had 660 yards, at a 5.4 yards per carry clip, and 6 td's. Cam Newton had 706 yards, 5.6 per, and 14 td's on only 4 more carries.

I know you are blinded by your love for Cam, but surely you knew he played several more games than Tebow? If you think Cam is a better running quarterback then good for you - read the sites guidelines. However, extended over 16 games Tebow's running numbers were no doubt better. And on a completely opinion-based view I believe he is a better all around runner.

Tim's a handsome guy, a great athlete, a righteous, God-fearing Christian, a great motivator, and winner. He's not a great QB. He's mediocre at best. The very fact that you find it necessary to lie about his accomplishments pretty much proves to me that you personally don't believe he can stand on his own merits.

Look, he may be good in the near or distant future, but this is Big Boy school. There was no reason for the Broncos to be tethered to him and his borderline psychotic fans in the hopes that some semblance of efficient QB play may one day materialize.

I'm surprised you can post anything at this point, considering how the NBA is treating the player you obviously love. You must be distraught about that. We can all grudgingly acknowledge that Cam Newton had a great rookie season, but speaking for myself, I think he's a despicable jerk, and I hope he falls back to earth, which I think he will.

The ONLY negative stat on Tebow is completion percentage. Period. That brings down his QB rating, that idiotic "QBR" nonsense that ESPN invented, and is the only basis on which he can be criticized. Other than that, he stands head and shoulders above anyone else in the history of the NFL at this stage of his career.

If you watched the Broncos games last year, you know that they didn't let him pass. Despite the media lies, there was nothing "different" or "complex" about the Broncos offense. They simply ran the ball up the middle, over and over again. On the rare occasions Tebow passed, it was in obvious situations and frequently the pass was a low percentage bomb. They almost never threw screen passes, which would have been a logical thing to do- high percentage, get the young QB's confidence up, etc. McGahee is a capable receiving back, but the most incredible stat I read from last year is the ZERO targets McGahee got in the passing game after Tebow was named the starter. That was on purpose, because they wanted incompletions.

Anyone who had the slightest doubt that Fox and Elway were upset over their OWN team winning, should simply look at how this jettisoning of Tebow has gone. Never has a young QB who achieved what Tebow did last season be discarded like he has been. If Tebow was black, with the exact same stats, they'd be calling his play "magic," and the completion percentage would be ignored. He'd be called the "future" at the position. I've been following sports for a very long time, and I've never seen a story like this.

You said it bigunreal. Thats so right on in every single situation. If Tebow was black Denver might have changed the uniforms to look like the Gators orange and blue. The same thing can be said in reverse too. Like what if Matt Jones or any of our other guys was black? Its a question that can be asked in every players case. If Cam Newton was white he might be fighting for a job this season. After all they had a bad season. White rookies regularly get one season to win or else. Cam lost in his rookie season, but he has his starting job set in stone for years to come. If Tim Tebow was black, and got kicked out of town like that the whines of Rassssisssst would be loud and often.

Give Tebow the offensive talent he had at Florida; Riley Cooper, Jeff Demps, David Nelson, and Aaron Hernandez and he's an even better QB. These four players; I would take over what he had in Denver; Thomas, McGahee, Decker, and Ingram(TE). Yes, Tebow's completion percentage was disappointing, but he had virtually no one to throw to and a old RB with bad knees, but still managed to make McGahee look good!

Scam Newton came into Carolina with 2 All-Pro TE's, All-Pro WR, and 2 outstanding RB's! Also, a pretty decent o-line.

Seahawks agreed to terms with RB Kregg Lumpkin, formerly of the Bucs. Lumpkin is a serviceable pass protector and plays on special teams, but he offers next to no explosiveness as a runner. He'll compete for a roster spot.

Several of these five non-white quarterback situations are subject to change. For instance, should Josh Freeman continue his poor play, he could be replaced by any three of the white QB’s on the roster (Dan Orlovsky, Rudy Carpenter, and Brett Ratliff). Michael Vick is endlessly—injured, 31 years old, and could easily be replaced by white backups Mike Kafka and/or Trent Edwards. Mark Sanchez signed a contract extension, but his poor play could also warrant a benching in favor of white backups Greg McIlroy or Drew Stanton. Cam Newton could regress in 2012, but his undeniably-great rookie season will not soon be forgotten. Given how many draft picks were sacrificed for “RGIII,” it would be quite prudent for Daniel “Super Jew” Snyder to allow him to be the uncontested starter for at least five seasons.

Two situations to keep an eye on are Seattle and Miami. It ought to be a no-brainer that Flynn starts over Jackson and Moore over Garrard, but this is the NFL, where racial considerations are always important. If Miami drafts a QB early, it wouldn't be surprising if Garrard "mentors" him for a season with Moore going to the bench or waived. And Seattle, well with Pete Carroll nothing is ever surprising.

The Seahawks were the right place for Matt Flynn for a couple reasons. He isn't being counted on to play like he did in the regular season finale for the Packers. In fact, he might not even be counted on to start. My Seahawks sources wouldn't be surprised if Tarvaris Jackson beat him out, given that Jackson played pretty well the second half of the season. And the Seahawks still are looking at QBs in the draft. The other factor is Seahawks general manager John Schneider had special insight into Flynn. He was part of the Packers crew that drafted him, and he also is one of Mike McCarthy's best friends in the business.

This is the kid from Cornell, who had a great pre-season in 2011 and made the team as a slot receiver/return specialist. But as is often par for the course, he was only active for 4 games. If you are a white, undrafted WR/KR you better put up really strong numbers right off the bat, or you'll be demoted (or cut) very quickly.

Without a doubt, the New England Patriots organization have been the fairest squad to white athletes. No other team saw Wes Welker's true maxmium potential. No other team would have considered Danny Woodhead to be a diamond in the rough. No other team would allow nor convert an athletic, versatile player like Julian Edelman to play the cornerback position.

As of today, the New England Patriots currently have 71 players listed under their roster.
If you classify TE Aaron Hernandez (his appearance is just a teensy bit more subjected to white than mestizo) & DL Aaron Lavarias (his appearance is subjected to Eura-Asian) as white.
Then the New England Patriots have a total of 35 players that would be classified under white, while 36 players would be classified under black (even though there are some biracials).

Dang I hate both signings. I was hoping they'd go to white friendly teams. Now they'll either get screwed over or help their zulu teams and reinforce the dark-is-better philosophy of their teams.

It's very rare that one white player's success on a team leads to more white players, if the environment is bad enough. Urlacher has been the best player in Chicago for a decade yet he remains the only white player on defense year in and year out.

--FB Jacob Hester might be a better option of returning than Mike Tolbert, who left for Carolina; he can't run like Tolbert. But he, too, can play on short-yardage downs and does well on special teams. However, the signing of Le'Ron McClain might affect his return.
